i come from 6s non plus but i seriously think it quite drain too! because i already the expectation that this phone will not draining so much like my 6s
*
Oic...hmm possible too...think about it...it has bigger screen and OLED, more powerful processor that is capable of running all 6 cores simultaneously. And maybe the 2 batteries instead of 1 might complicate things which causes the drain.

Oh ya, you guys know what....I just updated to iOS 11.2.1. I then restarted the phone again after update completed.

Now the cellular data as well as wifi speed seems back to normal which is much faster. Remember I complained slower everything after I upgraded to 11.2 back then and it was a rushed release due to 11.1.2 bugs....Apple had optimised everything in 11.2.1 now and it feels so much snappier. Let's see if battery consumption is also improved here.

Compared to my 5S & 6S, I always put my iPhone to airplane mode when I go to bed, I noticed on my X the battery drops 2% overnight whereas none on my ex iPhones. Yes I too, noticed the battery drops faster when I'm using the X compared to standby.

Hmm how come suddenly all getting faster drain on X battery ? I thought the X is superior in term of battery life compared to 8+ ?
Very mixed response from end user for battery life.

yea i think we can conclude that the x battery is good for standby (2716 mah) and usage drain as fast as the non plus models (or slightly better) due to oled energy consumption.. sweat.gif

I’ve heard that the SOC in the X runs at a slightly higher clock speed than the A11 in the 8+. So with a larger and higher resolution display with only 25mah more battery I don’t think the X will have superior batt life to 8+.

I think this battery problem is only temporary and mainly due to the unsettled ios 11. I believe it'll be rectified soon with coming updates.

Sure...will update here.

And yes, they have to bump up the processing in ipX to be comparable in performance with the 8 / 8+ as ipX has bigger screen / higher resolution to drive the display.

It does make sense. Read over macrumors forum everyone including their grandmother having superb battery life and some even quote literally impossible to fully drain the battery in a full day lol.
So far i am quite good with my 8+ battery life. I am sucker when come to battery life for phone. One of the top considered before i buy any phone. If the X able to outperform 8+ by a noticable margin i would jump to it soon

Maybe we can try to turn on low power mode and observe whether it makes any difference.

Yes, I also feel my cellular strength got better. Previously my data with switch between 3G and 4G in my bedroom. Ytd (which is the first day of update) my data stays on 4G only hmm.gif

No...from a 7+ user previously (still owning it now and use it as backup phone), the battery life for 7+ still outperform my X...which is kinda disappointing.

Same here. Battery life first for me, everything else secondary. Haven't had the need to carry a power bank since iPhone 6 Plus, and certainly don't intend to now. Or ever again. laugh.gif

I believe the X battery is not as good as the Plus models but also not as bad until we have to use powerbank. Still ok to last whole day.

Ya I'm not a heavy user by any means. All I ask is for 24 hours standby coupled with 4-5 hours SOT max. If my current Mi A1 can do that at one/fifth of the iPhone X price.... laugh.gif
