PIKOM PC Fair 2007 (II) Launch Alert
PC Fair 2007 (II) will be tentatively launched on 22nd May 2007 (Tuesday). The dates for the PIKOM PC Fair 2007 (II) are as follows: 3-5 August 2007 - Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Kluang, Kota Kinabalu & Lahad Datu 10-12 August 2007 - Johor Bahru, Sungai Petani, Mentakab & Seri Manjung 6-18 August 2007 - Kota Bahru & Kuala Terengganu 17-19 August 2007 - Alor Star, Melaka & Ipoh Stay tuned for more details! I havent been to one in years. Lastime it was worth the crowd becos its a lot cheaper than to buy in Imbi. But now LYP is even cheaper and with lots of choices. However I still cherish it once in a blue moon as I bought a S2000 for 500bucks cheaper.

Frankly, I was disappointed with the previous PC Fair. There wasn't much flair nor new innovative products to be shown. There was only the pretty ladies to look forward to and also Intel's booth which showcased the dance contest.
Hope the coming PC Fair will showcase new products besides the usual array of accesories |

i saw the hwm getting longer queue.. but i dunwan go.. cuz i am not in need for Speaker... somore my speaker more "PowDerful" lol.. so i go PC.com there.. but they still arranging things.. then i ask the lady there can i pay 1st.. later i get the stuffs.. she agreed and i paid.. after around 30minits-45miinits i come backk... unbelievable..hwm(free gifts nearly out of stick) and pc.com queue very long... then i go straight to the front and show receipt, get my stuff and play the Wheel and 50cent thingy.. haha.. Printer ah.. Fuji Xerox 203A...around 200-300 cheapest LaserJet there lo.. if u wan Geng a bit, go find Samsung SCX4200, doing promotion there : trade in ur junk printer(any brand,any condition) with them and they gif u rm399 only! (normal price 650). |

i'm only manage be the 52th person... didn't manage to get that wireless... only get the altec lansing(value at RM188) and after throw the big dice only get 2 small photo paper... fyi subscription per year is RM144 the speaker sound gudd............ i notice that the small small thingy like thumbdrive, wireless adapter they increase the price a bit rather than normal price at lowyat...... but maybe some products hav freebies like kingston where u buy any kingston product just go to their kingston booth to roll the wheel something like that(of course got chick) to redeem..

BTW, anyone has seen any nice promo for laptop? Dell didnt setup booth this time and I was disappointed cos they offer configuration of many types. Toshiba, NEC and HP shows lots of notebook but I wasnt interested as there aint any spec shown and small screen. The only lead I have was a promo flyer by a company in IMBI plaza. It seem like they have a HP with 1.66GHz Core 2 Duo 667MHz, 1GB DDR2 667 and 8400 for $3,799. Many cheap offering are those 533MHz parts. NEC also have one model with 17" LCD which seem pretty nice to me, just a bit pricy. Toshiba Q series also seem nice. Not sure whether or not to buy that Acer cos it seem cheap enough. But I have bad experience with Twinhead(another taiwan made). Its my bro laptop with Radeon 9700 and DVDRW. Cost 7K back then but even so, the LCD is so-so only and not to mention that the touch pad doesnt work very well at times. The DVDRW doesnt burn CD/DVD at times or bad burn which end up unreadable. I tot wanna get DELL but scare their laptop/battery will explode. Hahaha. |

I am not surprise that 818pro or atom @ price of RM999 coz this is a business tactic to clear old stocks.... I think these model will not be in production anymore in near future... Just like last time o2 mini at the price of RM999... after the PC fair, the manufacturer comes out with new model to replace o2 mini (the atom model)
That's my opinion about 818pro and o2 Atom... |

Seriously I think so too. The price is very expensive in PC fair compare to lowyat as i just went there yesterday as I wanna stock up some stock. So now on the way to lowyat to restock my normal stock and plan to buy a mp3 today..
The mp3 i wanna buy my dealer in lowyat quote me RM500 and in pc fair RM600 and they say normal price is RM650. And i say.. wantla.. I sell to u RM550 then u sell for RM600 untung mah. Haha.. then he look at me like one kind. |

Btw, notice that there is TOO MANY Maxis staffs there?
Also note the small bottleneck tunnel entrance between the two halls on the lower floor has a MAXIS and TMNUT booth infront of each other. Traffic jam over there..... |

Meh, I prefer the ones that they did at PWTC. It's lame at KLCC. The high rent cost is making items cost more than it's worth, and some company (eg: PC Gamer Malaysia) decide to skip this altogether as it's not worth the price being there. And all the items you can get more cheaply at lowyat anyways...

just came back from PC fair, bought myself a Samsung 931BW for rm699. Slightly cheaper than lowyat by RM20
If u dont like the crowd, just get it from lowyat the price difference is not significant le. |

All prices are hiked, except DELL. they say price are lower, and when you tell them you bought that item for a lower price at the last PC fair, they give some bullcrap about iphone being high in demand, that's why the chips and all are high in demand, that's why price go up la, that's why it affect all it stuff la this la. lowyat's price is going up la, this la that la. total waste of time |

Ahhh at both PC Fair's of this year;
- No.1 had me with the Sonic Gear Blue Thunder III @ RM199. - No.2 had me with the Sonic Gear H600 headphones @ RM39. Taking public transport via the LRT, getting there is easy. Accessing the KLCC convention centre is a bit of dodging incoming human traffic; there is simply too many people. |

The first PC fair this year in JB, i wanted to get a canon camera. I asked for the offer, and i got a price with freebies that is much more expensive than getting from singapore's funan & simlim. They are cheaper and comes with better freebies even though it is jus a normal day-to-day sale.

got some discrepancies
should've taken a photo, then can use against thundermatch i recall RM59 was for EP630 written on the manila card, but i am not too sure but what im sure is that on the left side that sells the earphones, its written on those colourful tags that EP630 is Rm59 while EP635 is RM119 i think |

Just got back from PC Fair today. Madness... managed to get the free speakers and USB, went in at 11am, got no.26. Damn lucky 95% of the crowd never realise the hall 4 entrance.

i like it more when it was held at pwtc... more bargain and lelong. but in this klcc they cannot give more bargain/lelong maybe the rent rate is high. and almost of the booth come from imbi/lowyat plaza. not as much as like pwtc years before

Guys, don't be so kiam siap la... Let say it this way... Going to PC fair is not just girl, but to see latest and experience new product and also the exhibition booth design and all sort of thing that count in place...
If really that kiam siap, why not say it this way. Ppl spent around 10k for a booth and there is so many booth. Your RM87 worth anything??? Just to share, no offence... |

This PC fair was worst than the last one. A lot of ppl love to stop in the middle of the lanes, never bother to move aside, and not moving at all.

There's a chinese idiom saying 'one kind of rice feed hundred kind of people'.
Everybody have different ways to make themselves happy. Some like to work hard, earn more money. Some would be just happy cos he/she saved money from getting something below market. So as long as you're happy with what you do , I think it's perfectly alright. |

u guys complain what for... be a clever consumer... if it's more expensive, don't buy it, if it's cheaper then buy it.. a fair is not just for buying stuff, it's for previewing new stuff, and buy somewhere else where it's selling cheaper! if u wanna go shopping go to a mall, they're not forcing u to buy stuff at pc fair.. just look and then go home... everytime there's a pc fair, u guys complain about the same thing... so boring la

haha, agree with you... You can choose not to buy or to buy... The decision is in your hand, every individual will have their own decision in buying, shopping, discovering, checking out, or etc. etc.
Just let them be, they have there own choice and you have yours as well... so stop... haha |

Now the point of discussion is no longer whether the price is cheap, expensive or whatever.
It's that a member with his personal view & calculation, saying that visiting PC Fair is a waste of time/money. Which I believe most people here wouldn't agree with. |

I work there before and i have attended the same client for 3 days and they made the final decision in the end of the day . When they came back and buy from me, I grin at him and said to him.. so you finally decided comparing? Yes..he said and he asked for more discount from me and i said no. The Buyer said to me..
