QUOTE(schmeichel7 @ Apr 23 2007, 05:17 PM) 1. My jersey collection Wah...you willing to go back and forth ipoh-kl and patch your jersey...2. In the 90's, there is no shop in Ipoh that can do EPL shirt printing for jerseys. I took a bus from Ipoh to KL. Walked to BB Plaza, went to al-ikhsan and got my jersey printed. Then walked back to pudu, took a bus from KL to Ipoh. All in one day. 3. Sneaked my mates to watch 1999 UEFA Champions League finals in my living room at 3.00am while my parents are asleep. 4. I am also an avid Manchester United magazine collector. Bought United Magazine almost every month since 1995. 5. Once decorated my old bedroom with MU posters (from the Magazines I bought) on every wall (and ceiling) and pissed my mum for that. 6. Took a challenge from my Liverpool fan mate to wear my Schmeichel goalkeeper kit with goalkeeper shorts and socks and wore it to Ipoh Parade. 7. Took a bus from Ipoh to KL, then a cab to watch United vs Selangor at Shah Alam Stadium in 1995 and slept at a surau before I took another bus back to Ipoh. 8. Wore my United jersey to weddings and official events 9. I used to like to go mamak stalls or restaurants with big screen and wear my United jersey while watching anyone vs Arsenal (just to wind up Arsenal fans) during the Treble Season. But since got astro at home.. a bit lazy now. 10. My final act is one day to fly to Old Trafford to watch my beloved Red Devils. Not sure when I can achieve that. Cool that you took your friend's challenge too... QUOTE(corez @ Apr 24 2007, 09:01 PM) 1. Leave my university exam early so that i can book a good spot for the open top bus parade. (The year we won the Treble) Even your date and honeymoon involves the team hehe nice 2. Have to resit my exam since i was caught keeping a newspaper under my desk during the exam. The story is that to get a special Treble poster we have to collect the newspaper cutting from Monday till Friday. Bought the paper before my exam and somehow I scared someone steal my paper so I reluctant to put my stuff in front of the exam hall (My mindset is that the Daily Mirror will be sold out by the time my exam finished). To cut the story short, they thought I want to cheat since I have my study notes in the newspaper (which I totally forget). 3. Spend over the top ticket prices since I bought from the touts. 4. My first paycheck, buy TV and subscribe Astro in my room. My parents are old school don't believe in entertainment (before this we only have a 14" non-remote TV). 5. My first date with my wife, after shopping at Mid Valley, we watch Man Utd vs Liverpool at the sports cafe. Lost 3-1, and was told that this place is a hangout for mostly Liverpool fan (donno true or not) 6. Convincing my wife that we should go to UK on our honeymoon and brought her to watch a home game (against Fulham) won 1-0 |

QUOTE(faris21 @ Sep 22 2009, 05:38 PM) i know El Cant Del Barca (official song) and call me weirdo or whatever, i doing that for revenge (1-0 Scholes) and before the match all MU fan keep saying they will win 3-0@4-0 (i mean they put Barca one level below their team) I can understand the sheer ecstacy mate. I don't particularly fancy goading myself. I'd much rather channel by joy and jubilation at my team. It's just my opinion but I think it's classier to celebrate and not resort to mocking opponents even if they mocked us first. I think it's showing that you are a step above in that sense. My 2 cents p/s: i just clapping hand and screaming Goall when Iniesta`s magical moment at Bridge |

The Arsenal version would be a white having the hood, roof and boot in red, while the either sides in white... I'm hardcore, but I think not so extreme. Anyway, I find this interesting..must be some hardcore manutd fan ![]() But I did do the honeymoon to UK and watch a game thing |

Some bloke that came to one of our viewings in a red Kenari has a large Liverbird emblazoned at the side of the car. Didn't take a picture though.
Real respect however should be given to those who dig into their life savings to follow their clubs especially in Europe. I once saw the story of a cabbie in Liverpool who spends his life savings on travelling Europe with the club. This it was in the "Road to Istanbul" DVD. I've a friend who bought his ticket to Istanbul during the Quarter-Final stage of the tournament, hoping that Liverpool would make is there with him. I mean it's easy for us to say that we'll save up to go to our respective meccas one day but how many actually do it? How many would forgoe buying a house or a car to visit their clubs first? How many would use up all the money they've saved for a trip there? I can't safely say I would. Thankfully my trip was free, otherwise I'd probably still not have gone. |

The guy in the red Kenari with Liverbird is JonC is it?
I'm a huge fan of Arsenal, but not huge enough to throw my savings just to watch a game of football, over say, buying a new car or house. Well in life there's just too many uncertainties. One day you might need the money for your old parents medical or some shit happens you suddently regretted the decision not to save up earlier. I had the chance to visit my holy grail of Emirates Stadium this year and was planning for a good 2 years prior to 2009 but when i changed job late last year and looking at the financial turmoil, i postponed it indefinitely. Looking back now, i didnt regret the decision to hold back as true enough, i went thru a massive slash in my pay packet and im just happy to ride thru this storm now. So guys, just don't go overkill with your football fanatism and save up for a better future.(I sound like a politician now..damn) |

QUOTE(giotto @ Sep 26 2009, 11:32 AM) The guy in the red Kenari with Liverbird is JonC is it? Nah it belonged to some other dude. JonC's ride is a little more subtle than his. It comes back again to my point that fans here can be a little too defensive. I can understand why fans in the UK hate one another with passion. It's because logic seldom comes into play when it comes to spending on/for their team. "Forget about whether or not we can afford a house, we simply must go to Instanbul!". While I don't aspire to lose all common sense, I admire their passion and dedication. Once again, it's like I've always said. I'm a fan of our fans. |

A fan of Real Madrid stand up on the chair shouting real madrid and singing some sort of songs that goes "barcelona suck " right in front of u. If u are a die hard fan of Barcelona, ur emotion will outstand ur mind and u will whack that guy. But if u are not a die hard fan of Barcelona, than u probably wont waste time celebrating in front of MU fans on a game that is already won.btw Barca fan at that night is more than MU fan (thank to Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal who come and cheer Barca) Added on September 26, 2009, 8:32 pmbtw faris, u mentioned there are more over things done by MU, can give me some example? I want go mamak do tonite haha This post has been edited by IcyDarling: Sep 26 2009, 08:32 PM |
