Brother None dies from a heart attack after playing Fallout 3, and Todd Howard died from syphilis after having sex with Emil. Both of them went to purgatory and they got into an argument.

Todd: You NMA people are the vocal minority. More people loved Fallout 3 than ever, and you only represent less than 1% of our audience demographics. Let me prove this to you.

Todd conjures up a graph showing the % of people who enjoyed FO3 and the % of people who don't.

Todd: See? 98% of those who bought FO3 enjoyed it.

Brother None pulled out a graph showing the % of stupid people to smart ones.

It was the exact same graph.

Oh yeah? How about his claim of Fallout 3 In Name Only having 200 endings? And ended up with only 4 with a bunch of non-sensical slides?

Fallout 3 is the only fallout game in the franchise that I only bothered to play through once. Sigh. I can't believe I enjoyed Mass Effect more than I did FO3.

rest assured, i didn't buy that "200 varied ending" crap long before FO3 even released for preview.

but when someone in Beth said Harold will be making another appearance, i bought it and now, get lizard piss.
*
Actually they didn't say Harold, IINM. They say "certain" characters from the old Fallout would return, and since the only person possible was Harold, I guess that was a subtly-delivered-f***ing-obvious-clue. But then yeah, the whole thing screamed lore rape.

OMG, the songs by the ink spots are sooooooooooo gooooooooood.

Cant believe he is black.

and it was 1939, before ww2.

black people have the best voice ever back then, not like all them stupid gangsta rap and bullsh*t we call music right now.

Maybe that's why michael jackson is the king of pop once.

I LOVE THEM CLASSIC SONGS!!!!!!!

AMAZING VOICE!!! REAL VOICE!!!!

not american idol crappy voice.
*
FYI the bullsh*t that we call music right now has roots stretching back to the early '50s and '60s and it's called Hip Hop, which is a huge part of black music, along with motown, jazz, blues and soul. You don't like it no problem but at least give props where it's due.

should i buy a pc to play fallout 3? is it worth it!?!? i played fallout 1 & 2 and BoS (bucket of shit).. now really tempted..
*
No, music is a big thing in FO3 apparently. A black guy speaking Ghetto manning a radio station playing inkspots. *cracks out logic suspender*. There. It makes sense now.

forget about PC. FO3 was made for the xbox. Go play it on your box.

I wont even begin to point out what's wrong with your statement.

read your own replies and try and find the mistake.

Kool Herc started it all in the '50s. 1956 to be exact. And the natural evolution of Hip Hop has given rise to the current day pop music that pretty much draws inspiration from it. So sorry bro, I can't seem to realize what's wrong with my statement.

QUOTE
November 25, 2008 (ROCKVILLE, MD) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced plans to make both its editor and downloadable content available for its award-winning game, Fallout® 3 in the coming weeks. The official editor for Fallout 3, called the G.E.C.K. (Garden of Eden Creation Kit), will be available for free download in December and will allow Games for Windows® users to create and add their own content to the game. In addition, the first official downloadable content, Operation: Anchorage, will be available exclusively for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Games for Windows® in January, and more downloadable content coming in February and March.

“We’ve always seen the original world of Fallout 3 as a foundation for even more content. Some created by us, and a lot more created by users,” said Todd Howard, game director for Fallout 3. “It’s fun to create your own character, but it can be equally fun to create your own adventures. We can’t wait to see what the community does with the G.E.C.K.”

The release of the G.E.C.K. provides the community with tools that will allow players to expand the game any way they wish. Users can create, modify, and edit any data for use with Fallout 3, from building landscapes, towns, and locations to writing dialogue, creating characters, weapons, creatures, and more.

Three downloadable content packs will be coming to Xbox 360 and Games for Windows Live starting in January that will add new quests, items, and content to Fallout 3.

Operation: Anchorage. Enter a military simulation and fight in one of the greatest battles of the Fallout universe – the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders. An action-packed battle scheduled for release in January.

The Pitt. Journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh. Choose your side. Scheduled for release in February.

Broken Steel. Join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. Continues the adventure past the main quest. Scheduled for release in March.

Loot EVERYTHING (spoon, plate, glass, burned book... anything you can take) and sell them. Your karma might goes down but with a bit of level later you can get a house and a robot with INFINITE clean water and you can give it to those beggars asking for clean water to improve your karma. Weird game design element consider you have no problem getting clean water while others have to drink from toilet bowl....  cool2.gif

Also, some visited area will repopulate like rabbits after heat season faster than you think so you can get more loots from them.

Look for Fort Independence and give them whatever technology crap you found to them and opted for stimpack as reward. I manage to get 240 stimpacks with some Mark 2 power armor and Plasma Rifle, after encounter with the Enclave.

Go to Tenpenny Tower and steal everything there.  drool.gif
Also try to lockpick the armory in Megatown for TONS of GUNS and AMMO.
*
Alternatively, you can pickpocket the sheriff for the key to the armory, if not mistaken.

There are 3 beggars I can think of. One is just outside Megaton. The next one is just outside Tenpenny Tower and the last one is at the stair to Rivet City.

Facing tough foe? Just run backward and shoot, while keeping a medium distance between you and your target.
Or, rush to your foe, enter VAT mode and unload everything you got to his/her/it's groin, I mean head. Works well against all humanoid foe. EXCEPT THOSE damn scorpions.
I actually find that scorpions are tougher than Enclave soldier...  shocking.gif

Another tip: get the Rock-it Launcher ASAP since it use any junk in the game as ammunition and can be pick up them again. Pros:  no more worry of losing ammo. Cons: those junks have weight and heavy. Another unbalance game design. Since when 5mm bullets weight like air?

Perk->Intense training is basically a cheat.  whistling.gif
And yes, playing a <4 intelligent character DOESN'T affect the dialog choice.... player can still talk like a normal person.  mad.gif

Oh come on. It's bethesda. Since when did Beth's games have any design in it? You're setting your standards a little too high. Play it like a ADD 10 year old and you'll enjoy it. tongue.gif

Yeah. Ironic considering FO3's a post-apocalyptic world while Oblivion's a high fantasy world. You'd expect it's the other way around.

But well, Beth has never been good with world designs anyway. Perhaps I am asking too much? suspend your logic and play the game dammit. Hehe.

Err what? Creepy? Compared to real games like FEAR, Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Fatal Frame, Vault 106 is child's play. Heck, even Half Life is more terrifying that Vault 106. In fact it is downright stupid. I would have thought the developers would screw around with your sanity more... but hallucinations? C'mon... that's as cliche as it is lame. Another missed opportunity.

I guess you never knew. Unarmed in the wasteland is the l33t. You can teleport and cancel out fall damages by using VATS + unarmed. For example, jump down tenpenny tower and before you hit ground go into VATS and try to punch somebody. You'll miraculously survive the fall. Everybody in the wasteland trained in shaolin before you know.

Guys, maybe this is already a common question but which weapon do you prefer? Big one, normal or energy? or perhaps melee?

I know some might say its depending, like said... big one is for lotsa enemies around, normal/energy for normal use and melee if you run out of ammo..lol!
But really, there must be a particular weapon that you prefer =D

So far I like this energy weapon, kinda neat ~ XD
*
The question itself is redundant. All weapons feel the same. No point having your favorites when none of them have anything unique other than going pew pew and gib gib.

But I kinda like manual sniping. About the only thing fun in the game. Feels good to blow apart those wooden scarecrows of a NPC walking around like its animated by a 3 year old.

Boom head shot.

There's three special weapons in this game that you can't find anywhere else... 1st is Lincoln's rifle... very2 accurate at far... and more deadly than sniper rifle..

2nd is alien's gun or something...
3rd...terrible shotgun...
*
I'm quite sure there's more. There's a unique SMG, a unique revolver, a unique shotgun, a unique Xuan Long assault rifle, an alien blaster, a unique minigun, a unique rocket launcher IINM, a multi-warhead fatman launcher, deathclaw melee, a unique super sledge...

Too bad they all look the same. The mod community should at least give them some unique skins to match their "unique" status.

Heres my adventure, i loving this game every minute. i dunno why some people dont like it, i mean you could actually almost do whatever u want, the dialog system is great but compare to fallout2, can say fallout2 better but i always love free ended game.

Compare to oblivion, i still think oblivion better, haha i love the side-quest
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
I guess you've never really played a real "free-ended" game before, like Arcanum? "Choice & consequences" in FO3 and Oblivion is but an illusion, used to fool people who have low standards when it comes to RPGs. Or people who enjoy spiky haired 12-year old emo kids wielding incredibly large swords.

Free-roaming games become plain boring when you don't see consequences of your actions. What's the point of having all that freedom when the freedom doesn't mean anything in the end? When it doesn't changes anything?

Having unkillable NPCs in the game is just plain bad game design. A "downgrade" from Fallout 2 if you will. And the whole little lamplight thing is moronic at best. Ever wondered how they get their people from? And how come Vault 106 still have living people if it was closed for 200 years and a psychotoxin released on the day the doors were sealed?

Many places in FO3 defies logic, even in the standards of the Fallout series' Science! logic standards.

You got to admit though the Thief Guild and the Brotherhood of Darkness' quests for Oblivion were brilliantly done. The satisfaction of assassinating someone while doing the brotherhood quests were really good especially one of the quests where you're locked with a bunch of people in a house and you'd have to assassinate all of them one by one without attracting attention of the other people. As for Kotor the 1st one will forever be the greatest RPG for me. Its even more satisfying than FF7 and Baldur's Gate 2.
*
Yes, I must admit that the only fun I had in Oblivion is doing the latter Brotherhood quests. But the rest are bland.

FO3 has some pretty interesting sidequests, although they are few and far in between.

BG2 is story driven, and KOTOR is also story driven, so it might not be fair to compare them to FO and Oblivion.

You are asking the wrong question. The correct question would be, how come a guy off the internet without access to FO3's source code could create such a useful fix when the people in Bethesda couldn't?

Which only leads me to one conclusions - Beth hires monkeys to code their games.
