Unfortunately, no. Once you disable it, it will be disabled completely. Screen on or screen off, screen locked or screen unlocked, the bixby button will not respond at all. Samsung don't give much choices for the users to choose.

How about maple gold color? IMO, the gold color on Note 8 is quite nice. It's not as gold as the previous generations. It got some silverish kind of feel on it when reflection comes in. Actually I did consider maple gold color during the roadshow. Guess what? The staff said golod color is out of stock. I was like WTF? Out of stock at the first day of launching? Anyway, because of this, I had no more hesitation and straighly went for the grey color.

Normal. All Samsung edge screen phones tend to have that "green" line on the screen side. Some said, it's blue, or cyan, or reddish...etc, which is quite subjective to each own perception. Anyway, it's a characteristic. It's hard to notice unless you concentrate on the screen side. Nothing to worry about.

Or are you talking about this (pic attached below)? If that's the case, then it means the screen is kaput.

Perhaps you can take a photo and show to us here? But based on your description, ya. Most likely it's that normal thin green line which I mentioned above. If you still doubt about it, you can just go to Samsung shops and check their demo units. I am sure you will find the same thing on their display unit.

Outdoor, I am using the LED wallet cover as well, and some times Nilkin Qin Leather Case.

Indoor, I am currently using 2 spigen cases. One is Slim Armor, another one is Rugged Armor Extra.

If you want to go minimalist, Slim Armor will be good enough. If you want extra protection, Rugged Armor Extra is the best!

I don't know what went wrong. But since you are using 2 phone numbers at the same time, I suggest you to stick one samsung account to one phone number. It would be much easier to organize the stuff in your account settings. Unless you have your own reason to use the same account in 2 different numbers. If not, I don't see why you should do that. It would only take you a few mins to create another new Samsung account.

Ya. I change my phone covers due to different scenarios. I usually use spigen cases for casual and relax moments, especially at home. As for office works and outdoor tasks, I will put on the Samsung LED wallet cover or other brand flip covers to fit my "businessman" outlook. LOL.

I also have a LED view cover that given by Samsung during their roadshow. But that's too bulky plus it's a fingerprint magnet, so I just keep it as collection.

Speaking of this, that's one of the reasons why some people dislike samsung edge screen.

Reset your network setting. That option is under the factory reset option.

There's so many theories out there, talking about how to preserve the battery health status. Charge until only 70-80% sound a bit illogical. It would defeat the purpose of users always pursuing the larger battery capacity. For example, you bought a phone which have 4000mAh. But you can only charge it until 80%, which is only 3200mAh. doesn't make any sense isn't it? I believe technolgy exist for making our life easier and convenient. Not the other way around.

The one I always heard is that don't deplete your battery percentage until 0%, and don't overcharge the battery (eg. charge overnight). When your battery left around 15-20%, charge it. Once it's full charge, unplug it. This practise should be good enough for normal use.

For anyone who can read/understand chinese, here's the latest explanation from one of the tech reviewers who I trusted. IMO, his explanation regarding how to preserve battery health life is quite convincing.

I believe you are talking about Mate 10 regular. Mate 10 Pro (which was mentioned in that award article) is different. Various tests already proved that Mate 10 Pro indeed is very good compared to other 2017 flagships when it comes to battery life. I watched many videos about this and I have to say I agree with it. Not sure why Mate 10 Pro's battery life is better than Mate 10 regular since both of them are using the same chip and processor. But my best guess is that Mate 10 Pro is using Amoled screen. Thats why it's better.

Hang on buddy. Pixel 3 may don't have headphone jack as well. It's possible. it's a trend now.

Me also the same. Mine was drained faster from 100 to 90 during idle time. For example, after I unplug the charger at night after full charge, next morning when I wake up after 8 hours sleep, the battery percentage dropped to 95%. No wifi no data. Signal full bar. But if I used it right after full charge, the battery dropped slower. So I don't think it's the battery issue. Something must be triggered when the phone is full charged and it doesn't sleep well in idle. Something from the system, not the installed apps (since I ruled this out after factory reset).

Unfortunately no. I just let it be. It would only happen in 100-90% though. Other than that, the normal idle time drain is 2% dropped in 8-10 hours. May be the battery calibration went wrong. Anyway, it still can give me 7-8 hours sot. So I won't bother with it. May be Oreo will fix this.

Just a few simple methods. Use manual brightness about 30%, turn off any features you don't need, only install important apps you need, disable any unnecessary apps. That's all.

Android phone is not the same with Apple phone. You will need to tinker with the android settings to make sure there's no unnecesaary apps/features that running in the background which will drain your battery life.

Front camera till got. I think samsung took the selective focus away because they think Live Focus can replace it. but we all know that selective focus is not the same as Live focus. LOL.

eh? Why not buy the 2nd year standard warranty as well bro? Especially if you plan to use the device more than 2 years, right?

Mine cannot buy the 2nd year standard warranty, because Samsung in advance already free 1 yr screen warranty for me. Which I think is totally BS. I want to pay them money they also don't want. Not sure how they came up with such kind of logic.
