I see. I was gonna blame it on the setup guy from TIME. Dude didnt even know how to setup a guest network. Anyways this is better than the old Archer C1200 which would barely give me 300+ down so I guess I can be satisfied for now.

solved it after changed to unifi router and back to the dlink, everything works fine now on the D-link router.

Hello again, my issues with disconnecting ingame and also weird voice problems in discord App still happens (even disabled IPv6). Yesterday night was so bad i change back to my old Innatech RG4332 router by tm and both of the problem didnt occur anymore for all my gaming hours yesterday from 8pm tilll 2am.

Did i left out any settings? or something? faulty? eversince i change my old tm router to the D-Link router its been giving me problems except that im having 300mbps speed but issues as above.

Just got my DIR-885L today. Set it up accordingly and got the internet connected. However, I am only getting 80-95Mbps DL speed compared to 800+ with TM DIR-850L. Is there any setting I am missing? Your advice is greatly appreciated. I also notice under Wireless I do not have the option to set 2.4 & 5Ghz in DIR-885L compared to DIR-850L.

885L Firmware: 1.20
Cable: CAT 5 cable that came with the box and also tried using back the same cable provided with DIR-850L.

When I switch back to 850L, I am able to get the speed back to 800Mbps.

Reset on 885L is done as well, same issue.

Yup, tried with Cat 5E cable. Don't have a Cat 6 cable. The same cable when I attach it back with DIR-850L then it works fine. Under Settings > Network > Advanced settings, I found WAN Port Speed and selected 1000Mbps but it did not make any difference. 

refer IPv6 , do we need to set it to "Auto-detect" or "local connectivity only" ?

Till date no response from D-Link Support. Submitted a report via their website. Only received the automatic response. Tried live chat twice, no luck. PM them in FB also, no response. Next, probably need to call them but they only available during office hours.

Yeah, kinda regret buying it now. Spoke to Advancenet Technology, the D-Link distributor. They are unsure of the issue as well, requesting me to bring the modem over to them. Sigh. 

Hi, I'm using DIR-867 router and there is a problem which I enable 5Ghz but it is not visible on any device. May I know what is the problem?

But my device can detect other 5Ghz SSID. Is my router settings have problem? Even update firmware, disable 2.4Ghz still can't.

I tried 36, 40, 44, 48 channel still not visible. Even tried with suggested settings on previous reply.

hi, have anyone tried DIR-850L USB port with pendrive? my pendrive have a yellow LED that would blinking when it's in reading or writing. it's blinking non-stop 24x7 when i plug it into DIR-850L USB port. even with confirm no USB pendrive usage from internet and LAN, and just rebooted DIR-850L router.

And I saw from Dlink official website of the firmware, can I just upgrade the firmware to V3.10? Is it the same thing just like V3.01?

I’ve recently purchased a 2ndhand D-Link DIR882 router which I believe it’s a TIME fibre set. It’s running on firmware version 3.5.8tt (something like that).

However, I’m using TM@Unifi and I couldn’t get it to work. I’ve already tried changing its pppoe to my unifi account login details. And it seemed like the router is not getting any internet connection.

What did I miss here? I tried googling around for ways to configure this router but I couldn’t find any guides that actually work. Or simply because it’s outdated. Because I noticed the guides on google show different interface and features than what I’m currently seeing when I wanna set up the router which really makes me confuse.

I’m starting to think that I made a wrong purchase. Or perhaps I didn’t properly configure the router for it to work.

Could anyone lend me a hand?

I am using an original unifi router below and want to view my DVR thru internet (via IP address).

I have refer some online guideline and setup the virtual server as "port forwarding" to the DVR, e.g 192.168.0.88:88. I can view my DVR within my LAN network but whenever I put the external IP address, I cant view it. Try to using some online open port check tool (e.g: https://canyouseeme.org/ ), the result is negative (error message:
Error: I could not see your service on 210.187.XXX.XXX on port (88)
Reason: Connection timed out )

Not sure if anyone of you encounter similar problem like mine. Appreciate if you can share me some hints. Thanks in advance.

I have try to Enable Remote Management with a particular port, e.g: 88... (was try to use this port for my DVR), it is viewable thru "https://canyouseeme.org/" . That's mean ISP did not block this port from my public IP....

So, I really dont know how to do now...

While set for Virtual Server thru my router DIR-842 for my DVR with port 88.... but still cannot viewable thru "https://canyouseeme.org/"...

I read somewhere if your router wan ip address ia the same as "what is my ip" in google then is public. If not then its private… not sure how true
