Not sure how they gonna implement this for reload. Sounds so stupid to verify your IC just for reloads. Especially those e reload agents gonna have a headache

QUOTE(cucubud @ Oct 21 2017, 04:41 PM) My friend told me that the system for them to reactivate the expired prepaid line has been removed as per latest instruction from SKMM.... However, he said he can help me to check with their number management team on the availability of the number to be sign up as postpaid line... but since the prepaid number is for backup only and I dont wish to sign up another postpaid line to increase my commitment..so I didnt proceed further...This post has been edited by ckyow1: Oct 21 2017, 04:56 PM |

QUOTE(ckyow1 @ Oct 21 2017, 04:35 PM) For your info, certain access such as phone Imei block are tools provided by skim to Telco. For prepaid reactivation, the tool is own and develop by Telco, however, it was the instructions SKMM to all the Telco to discontinue this service. For your info, SKMM is the government's bodies who managing and control all the Telco firm in Malaysia ok, so skmm did not remove their access after all.imho, this is kinda gray area that telcos can monetize. since numbers are recycled, telcos could recycle the number into a new sim pack and sell it to the previous owner for more $$$$ fyi, imei block is to block phones, not prepaid numbers. skmm may supply the blacklisted imei's but it is the telco who implements the blocking. The access has been removed lah, confirmed... I am ex Digi staff and I know how the system works... I even ask my friend who is still working at the particular center to open the system and show it infront of me... I felt like I am revealing too much of my personal info... For certain system such as IMEI blocking, the access was provided by SKMM to all the telco, the telco staff will need to apply the access from them.. Thats all I can tell... if you wish to try, can just purposely dont top up your important prepaid number and contact your telco and ask them to reactive it for you after expired... then you will know what is really going on now... reactivation of expired prepaid number back as prepaid service 100% can not be done anymore start from now... |

QUOTE(syamirc @ Mar 2 2021, 12:03 AM) Still salty about losing your 8888 number?Fruitie also lost her number by not reloading, but she doesn't go around blaming skmm, only herself for forgotting to reload (and her phone for failure to remind iinm) Just go to maxis, and while subscribing to rm188 plan, take advantage of phone plan too because you are bound to 24 months contract anyway |

There's really no use venting here. Besides if you really love the number, why risk it by parking in prepaid? There's so many other with auto renew or even cheap postpaid like Redone.

There's so many other with auto renew or even cheap postpaid like Redone. It's not worth spending on postpaid to maintain number. Prepaid validity is not like 1 month to termination at least 30 to 90 days depend on telco. Even postpaid u don't pay few months number still get terminated This post has been edited by Theoutspokenguy: Mar 5 2021, 09:50 AM |

QUOTE(syamirc @ Mar 2 2021, 12:03 AM) To me, SKMM, is like just wayang kulit. Ask anyone who has dealt with SKMM about coverage, they will say, SKMM will pass the buck back to telco. And telco will say - Its normal, no issue, blah blah blah. And case close. They are unlike Singapore's IMDA, the equavalent of MCMC but even stricter. Dont play play. Thats why, the coverage in Singapore is up to 98%. Of course they can do it because they dont have rural areas but still the telco strive to achieve a target. I think its best you move on, no point crying over spilled milk. Maxis is holding you at randsom. Just move on , and learn your lesson from there. |
