Geez u guys. i dont know la.. i didnt realize there's hooligan in m'sia. ahak. ok. why dont u guys respect others thought? ok, ill answer ur question. if milan clash with roma, i choose milan. like i said, im milan fans. but roma is in my heart. i can't resist to hate roma. i just like them play. and arsenal also. i admire wenger. so what? it doesnt mean i choose all of this team and hope 1 of them will win title. no! i actually like milan to win all. guys, i know so many profesional out there admired couple of teams. they r professional. who r u guys? some futsal player. not even pro. came to this forum, be a gangsta & bully other ppl thought. u said we r idoit, kids, not loyal. hey, how old r u guys? air_mood said he still studying. heh. kiddo.. i watch milan since i was kid. late 80's. n u saying im kids. haha.  laugh.gif  if we speaking bout history, for sure everyone can open wiki, yahoo n so on. so, just igore the history. guys, like i said. respect other's thinking.

i want to clarify here. im milan fans. i like roma since batigol there until now. and i like arsenal in wenger era. so what?

if u said u are so good. loyal. let us discuss, why sir alex ferguson admire milan eventhou he is the manager of man utd. SAF is disloyal?.. wuu... he must be scared  icon_question.gif  of u guys..  doh.gif

SO, LET US DISCUSS. WHY?
*
Wait, how come Roma is in your heart but you on the other hand being a Milan fan? Surely if the number 1 team you're supporting (in your case, which is Milan) must be in your heart all the time, doesn't it? I'm confused. Why don't you just say you support Milan, but you have a soft spot for Roma because Batistuta used to play there? That should make it clearer.

And saying we (the supporters) are bullies, just futsal players, not even pro etc clearly are totally unnecessary. What has being a futsal player has to do with it? You might just upset the futsal thread people. Why do you need to ignore the history. If you love your team you'll do everything to know about your beloved team don't you? Wiki and Yahoo are there for people to learn about the history as well, not just IM-ing or porno-ing.

And oh, air_mood's doing his 3rd degree anyway, he's not a kid anymore, at least not by the way he's commenting in the forums, very insightful. A kid doesn't do that. (first time ever defending a manutd fan tongue.gif )

re:SAF...well you said SAF admires Milan. Note the word 'admire'. I admire the way Arsenal play and ManUtd attacking but that doesn't mean I support them and make me less of being a Liverpool supporter. Admire means you're in awe and respect of others qualities, but not actually supporting them.

defending his theory.. i like the way he admit everything.. same here i also don't like old ppl bullies school kids. u just act like it.. u push others to swallow your words, to bite your way of saying "real". So what 3rd degree? now u want to show of to other ppl that 3rd degree holders can say something and others must only nod.. like u also.. u must have some real deep meaning of true fans.. the ROOT question here. true fans. not flaming others.. What is true to you? Loyal? Knowledgeable? think about it.. i just so frustrated to see you seniors act this way.. u should lead others to the TRUE path. not scold but teach them..

QUOTE(Golden @ Jan 19 2008, 10:53 PM)
I thought Manchester City are your biggest rival?  tongue.gif
*
nah... they were our biggest source of glee!! We're still counting the years since they last won the league... whistling.gif Liverpool has always been our biggest rivals. Leeds United are another big rival. Man City counts more like the bragging rights rival (the kind you wanna beat simply because of bragging rights and nothing else). Unlike our other rivals, we want them to stay up! So we can beat them again and again and again... tongue.gif

Lately, Arsenal and Chelsea are becoming bigger rivals simply because of the success they have had but Liverpool has got that "special" spot in our hearts... icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(air_mood @ Jan 21 2008, 02:52 PM)
There's hardly even a real active community of Man United fans in the country, as far as I know although I do know there's the clubhouse in SS2 though. Not really a fan of viewing party or anything of that sort as well considering i don't like to be disturbed when I watch my football. If there is anything happening somewhere it will be in that EPLPlus column on NST though. Seen nothing so far.

But I do find what the club is doing remembrance of the tragedy excellent though. The tribute they are doing in Manchester I mean. The retro kits, the big tribute on the East Stand. Big ass picture of the Busby Babed and the United Calypso on the side although I do find AIG stamping their logo on the tibute a bit out of taste though. Then there's the little bits of recognition like Rooney, Rio and Ronaldo asking for all blacks boots for the occasion instead of their usual flashy ones. Going to be an awesome day. Hopefully the blue bitters don't spoil it though. England don't trust their fans enough to pay tribute to the Busby Babes and called of a tribute that would have happened on 6th February, the exact day of the 50th anniversary of the disaster when coincidentally England will be having a friendly game.

For me, nothing better for a tribute to the Busby Babes than crushing the bitter blues with excellent football in the true fashion of the Busby Babes.
*
The clubhouse in SS2 is the Manchester United Supporter's Club clubhouse. I went there once and the lady there told me that the fans there are really passionate. She even said that one lady member cried before because MU lost! How's that for passion?

QUOTE(madmoz @ Jan 21 2008, 05:28 PM)
Damn, i pity him. You can hear the roars from miles away!
*
Pity him? I'd love to trade places! Imagine just hearing the awesome sounds coming from the Streford End every home game... drool.gif drool.gif

how can you be just "admiring" roma when roma is in your heart? I admit, I admire Arsenal's tactics and the players they have and their style of playing but I still want them to get relegated (no offense meant tongue.gif ).

being older doesn't exactly mean you're wiser. By the way, just because he's studying and you are working doesn't make you older either. Doctors graduate very late in their 20's; when most of their non-doctor peers have already been working for 2-3 years average.

To clear things up, easypeasy was pulling your leg. I'm 23 and am currently doing my ACCA.

SAf loves Milan??? Seeing that he has never ever declares this, how would you know?? I've seen him praising Milan, praising Roma, hell he even praised Reading last week, so does that makes him a fan of all 3 clubs??? No bloody chance in hell. Praises are just praises, being a fan of is a whole other matter.

Listen, I don't care if you're 5, 15 or even 50, when you behave like a kid, get ready to be treated like one. So the feck what if you're older than me?? The term glory hunter, jumping ships and supporting multiple teams is normally associated with kids seeing that kids can rarely make up their mind and usually go with the flavor of the month. But seeing that they are kids, understandable really since kids barely have principles. it's a seldom occurrence that they do have one. it develops over time, as you get older. You keep trying to point out to people, you have a career and so on and yet common sense seems to desert you. It just doesn't make sense that one would support two clubs, in the same league and both being competitive with each other in the same league. So who do you support when they play each other?? Chances are you'll say you support club A to club A fans and say you support club B to club B's fans. It just doesn't bloody make sense. that question seems to have trumped a certain Chelski fan this evening. He snuck back into his coccoon although I see him back out now as he found a fellow multiple club supporting mate. That particular Chelski fan gave the bullcrap answer that he'll just sit back and enjoy without showing allegiance to anyone, showing that he's no bloody fan in the 1st place. you're going to go for the same answer??

Again you're reading it wrong. Whoever the feck says they are an otai in football knowledge ehh?? you know why people say you're not loyal?? because you simply arent. You divide your allegiance. Who the feck cares whether I have share with man United or whether Sir Alex knows me??? The fact remains that i love my club, wholeheartedly and without any division. I wouldn't even have to think twice about who am I going to support when my club plays.

Backup?? What the hell do you think this is?? A school playground fight?? There's no bloody backup. First of all we are fans of separate clubs who just happen to share the same opinion. the fact that you think this is some sort of ganging up shows your mentality really, a primary school one. Don't expect to receive respect when you clearly don't deserve it. No bandwagon jumper, glory hunter or multiple clubs supporting so-called fans are going to get my respect that's for sure be it you are 5 years old, 15 or 50 years old. I'll respect a 7 year old kid if he deserves it.

To clear things up, easypeasy was pulling your leg. I'm 23

Comments made here were never personal, until you take it that way. It is a healthy discussion, to me, if you can't even take internet forum discussion and woould take it personal, then I would suggest you to reassess the reason you log on here or the whole thing and refrain from part take from ANY discussion at all. By the way, I am not targetting you, just a general comment towards those who'd take comments personally and get upset with it.
And I would suggest you have your brain checked - nothing personal eh , ha ha ha biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Jonno @ Jan 19 2008, 12:47 AM)
Having said that, I do get personal with idiots who come in without any substance, just stupid oneliners. Anyway back to the topic...

A real fan need not have to play the game competitively, but I do agree the "someone who follows the game from a non glamour pondan perspective" part, there are too many who'd follow a team then switch when they didn't do that well. I know people who have a few different strips of different clubs  doh.gif

I guess the worst is the ones who proclaim that they don't support any team, they only support money or teams that "brings them money", to me that has to be the worst type of supporter. They have nothing to do than watching the game with hard earned money at stake, in a gamble that they have no control over, to me it's pretty stupid, but then again, to each his own...
*
If you have never played the game competitively , then how can you really talk about football .

How do you know what it is like to cut a ball back or cross and the diff between the 2 ?

It's like me talking about surfing from watching TV , not much credibility.

As for me , I dont support any team anymore Im just bored with the whole shiet.

but I see nothing wrong with local fans switching teams as long as it is not taken seriously .

I mean how can someone like you or some local MU fan feel so " emotional " about a team 6000 miles away in foreign land and foreign culture .

What the fcuk , some of these people talk like they were born / are living next to Manchester / liverpool / west london etc .

What a load of bullshiet .

This is of course a new media creation creating pseudo white morons , who will foverer be enslaved to the TV , exactly what the TV cocks want.

Oh and just my comments , remember nothing personal ......

Learn up some English I suggest. English is not just reading what's being written, you have to learn to read between the lines. Ever crossed your mind that it's just bloody journalism?? That's a bloody headline you're posting, care to post the rest of this so called proof that "Sir Alex loves Milan" as you're quite clearly trying to bulls**t everyone here.

Not gonna bloody answer to this again. If you bothered to read back you'll find your answer on why we're passionate about our team, something which you obviously clearly know nothing of.

Put it simple , those who support more then 1 club especially in the same league are kiasu people who can't bear going a season without a club which he 'support' winning something.

hey, we're fans, not footballers. and by competitively, what do you mean? So for us to talk about football, we'd have to had play for the national team, is that it?

You can tell from watching someone else what's the difference. Course, having played the game makes your opinions more credible. But then again, that's what the pundits are. We as fans, we just see it as how we see it. It doesn't take an expert to know when players are playing badly or can't seem to perform. Plus, remember that Houllier was a school teacher, does that mean he's a terrible coach? Also, most successful managers weren't world class players...

IMO, it depends on the reason why you switch. If you started following 1 club but found that you're more passionate about another club, it's fine by me. But not those who switch clubs simply because they are more successful.

it's what is called an emotional attachment. just like how people can get attach to their cars/houses/stuffs. You invest time and energy into learning about the club, the culture behind it, the history of it... you cry when they lose, you scream with joy when they win. That's what makes real fans real.

read my statement above. hardcore? i have not heard anyone in this thread claiming to be hardcore. care to show me? all we're claiming is that we are true and real fans, not glory hunters. btw, going to old trafford is not the issue. not everyone can afford pay 2k+ just to fly there.
