Fuiyoo, on par with LH, next will aim for GOAT recognition.

Hugely overpaid for just a 1 time champ. But at 1 point Kimi was also the highest paid during his 1st stint at Ferrari.

Probably additional bonus in his contract clause.

Still just a 1 time champ earning the same as a record holder who has proven himself against many other champs in the same team? MV is really spoiled there by RB. If the budget cap includes drivers salary, this probably wouldn't happen.

Coz he has proven himself since 1st race with Red Bull, I still remember he won first GP upon joining Red Bull, impressive.
*
But he has not yet have a world champ caliber team mate to beat, unlike LH.

Winning in a RB is impressive? I guess that's why GR is impressive as well. Almost winning until car broke down.

I guess Seb winning the wet race in Fuji is ROFL
*
Seb winning in Monza in TR you mean?

and F1 just terminated the contract with the Russian GP. Which means no Russian GP in the future.

Thanks for correcting me... didn't double check and thought it was the Fuji since I hardly remembered if Monza ever get wet race.
*
I actually also missed that Monza race, only saw it in the news.

Seb crashed into Webber in Fuji and winner was Lewis.

Mazepin has officially been dropped. Honestly I think Hulkenberg is the best person to fill the seat but I don't think he has enough sponsorship backing to bring along.
*
Could be Giovinazzi.

Wow, this is a bit unexpected, all this time they said Fittipaldi was 1st choice.

Seems like Mercedes porpoising is much better now than last week.

Only managed to catch the last 15 minutes. It somehow feels like cornering speed is much slower than last year.
*
Still looks more than other cars.

Anyway love how much better the cars look now! Thank God the ugly noses are finally gone! Lol

Russell car looks more balanced than Lewis. I think GR might have find a sweet spot for the car compared to Lewis.

Biggest surprise is Haas and Bottas.

McLaren struggling?
*
Alpine with FA also looks surprisingly competitive but like I said still early days. Mclaren maybe sandbagging a bit.

So guys, as we are on the brink of the new era with totally new car, what do you expect and wish to happen this year? Who do you want to win the WDC, WCC etc2 ?

For me:
WDC: I expect MV would retain his title with tough fights with Leclerc, Sainz, and LH
WCC: bored seeing Mercs winning. After seeing Ferrari so far going well, I expect Ferrari to surprise and steal WCC.
First time winners: I'd expect Sainz, Norris, and Russel to at least win once. Sainz to win more than once to help Ferrari won WCC.
Other notables: I wish Alonso can steal a win once, DR finally able to closely match with LN and also win once, and Seb too. Lol Probably Perez csn steal a win once again too.
So in summary it becomes a very open season with many winners.

McLaren in trouble..

Yeah unfortunately but Lando still decent, hopefully he can drag that car higher up.

Kudos to bkth Hulk and KMag for immediately able to beat their younger team mates despite the last minute calls. Or maybe prove that MSjr and LS are slow.

Wow VB and KMag in Q3! And both Haas beat both Mclaren, who would have thought that!

Bottas win over russel. rclxm9.gif

Hahaha, VB must be grinning ear to ear! Not only by VB but also by Kmag and Alonso cuz GR was just too slow compared to LH, 1 sec behind! He must have made some mistakes.

I think KMag is the real star performer in this 1st race qualifying while both Mclaren are the most dissapointing.

Too bad for RB they had Perez... lol

But he is not that far back in this race, only about 2 tenths and generally he can manage tire life well. But yeah, CL/CS are more equally good compared to more lopsided of MV/SP.

1hr 15mins to go to kick start the first race of the season. Who will take the first win of the season?

CL? MV??? Maybe LH?!?
*
Long shot for LH. I'd like to see CS takes his maiden win ahead of CL then MV.

Somehow other than changing the brands of cars around, it seems like nothing much changed. New tyres makes racing fun for 2 or 3 laps before it got too hot along with the brakes.
*
At least finally able to shake up the order a bit! Mercs only 3rd best, Haas in the top 10, Alfa competitive, and Mclaren return to the back?!
