mclaren also sucks badly in making a proper chassis lol

partner with honda is what mclaren needs, a default factory team with full support from honda..now they can only dream of winning any championship as a customer

their lost is RB's gain, even TR gained from it from it in these 3 years of the partnership

also alonzo is one of the greatest driver but toxic and burning bridges whenever he goes lol
*
Yeah I remember that time Mclaren was insistent their chassis was good and their lack of pace was purely down to Honda PU, to only confirm afterwards that their chassis were also slow! But yeah it has taken Honda 6 years to finally win it just before bowing out, while Mclaren has changed PU twice.

Alonso was surely a big factor in the failure relationship with Honda but at that time he probably thought he won't be racing F1 anymore into his 40s to wait 5-7 years ti win again, hence that's why he demanded fast results. In hindsight he might regretted it.

McLaren is desperate to win, but Honda needs time. A messy marriage to say. Whoever underestimate Honda capability those days not having a laugh now. Just show don't give up and change things around sometimes can turn things around.

For Alonso Ferrari moved on, McLaren moved on..just a matter of time before he retire. Not a single top team wants him and driving for alpine at this point its impossible to win championship.
*
Who knows maybe LH makes a shock retirement then Alonso swoops into the Merc seat out of urgency! Lol

The front wing is very high. U watch the Aston on track it looks damn high. I wonder how they'll lift the car for pitstops.
*
They'll just make a higher custom jack, no big deal for any pro racing teams.

The FIA releases a video at the same time as the Ferrari launch, outlining its structural changes to race control:

- Masi out as race director
- Remote race control that will support the race director
- Direct radio comms to race director removed
*
Got 2 guys now as race directors but they will be alternating. I wonder if this actually may lead to even more inconsistencies in decisions.

Ferrari fastest in morning test, looks good at least will have them in the race leader mix fight.
*
LN fastest at the end but still early days. Anyway hope Ferrari and Mclaren can really mix it up again at the front.

Only when I see 4-5 different teams winning after 10 races , then only I'll conclude the rules change works as intended.
*
I am happy enough if can already see 4 teams can consistently challenge for wins. Would be even better if the avg. qualifying gap from pole to last is less than 2 secs.

Given how high cars are now, I wonder if it would mean that they would let cars race in the wets rather than having red flags and waiting for tracks to dry up.
*
Highly dependent on the tires too. The front wimg looks higher but is the main undertray really higher up?

It's the bouncing issue of the cars when they hit a bump

I'd be happy if all teams can finish within 30 secs in a race.
*
Waa that means race lap time avg. difference between winner and last is less than 1 sec per lap! Even Indy cars cannot be that close.

Saw many said this sampan handling was common during 1980s, can be resolve by active suspension solution which was banned. That period you already start watching f1? Any memory on that haha?
*
I started following F1 in the late 80s but cannot recall such bouncing. Saw footages of mid 80s races also don't seem to notice such movements. Bouncing of coursw got but more like stiffness bouncing, not like prolonged dead absorbers bouncing.

No he won't, the father is the main investor of the team. So far also no ban on other Russian sportsmen.
