Wow LH is out in Q1 at p16, 0.6sec behind GR to boot! If Not for Yuki technical issue, he would have been p17!

Looks like no 8th WC for LH.
*
Yeah even though only 2nd race but being so far behind seems too much to catch up.

QUOTE(PowerSlide @ Mar 27 2022, 01:37 AM)
probably poor setup? one merc goes thru one doesnt is weird
*
Yeah something wrong there cuz GR can still get respectable times.

Meanwhile MS crashed.

It's a pity though that SP pole lap was mostly missed as the camera was focused on CL lap. CS also put up a good fight, could be anyone's out of the top 4 to win.

Another point to note is GR at p6 means Merc still has respectable performance so setup on LH car should be totally out to be that far behind.

I think this is the first time I can recall LH is outqualified by 1.2secs behind a team mate without having an obvious car trouble or accident.

P6 but 0.9 sec behind, super hard to gain back such huge differences. Not like last year season opening qualifying Hamilton's 0.4 sec behind.
*
Yup, at best they can aim for some lucky wins at least towards the 2nd half but titles I think are gone now with such huge gap.

Actually Ocon did very well getting P5. This season is really Ferrari vs RB.
*
Yes, respectable speed to be the best of the rest and again out qualifying FA. FA needs to watch out and up his game or he should retire if got beaten by end if the year.

Haha

This shows F1 fanatics less toxic than football
*
Actually if you read some comments on the PF1 articles, got many ridiculous fanatic fans of certain drivers, mostly either MV or LH.

SP doing very well so far.
FA must be pissed and taught Ocon how to battle properly.

Latifi in the wall, advantage Ferrari to pit!

Good fight back by MV. Critical that he managed to jump CS at the start otherwise he would lose time and might not win.

At the rate RB keeps complaining each race, they will be the one who starts a war. Even this morning MV non stop complaining, while Charles diam only. Whenever MV gets under pressure fuh non stop on the radio.

Macam every champion driver tends to do that it seems, last year Hamilton did the same too. Probably feel own self is already at the pinnacle, opponents impossible or too risky to challenge them.
*
It's expected, cuz they all will try everything they can to gain an advantage.

I woke up and started watching when the VSC was running, when they were talking how LH missed the pit window. BTW Jenson Button is pretty good, much much better than Martin Brundle as his comments are more objective.
*
Yes and JB can relate better on how the modern F1 cars are and he had experienced battling with some of the old dogs like LH, SV, and FA so his experiences are more concrete, plus he was a champ too so he knows the game very well. MB knows more about old school F1 in the Senna era.

Gasly actually said before that LH and MV should be put in an AT to see how they can do. Well he got almost half of that cuz Mercs is almost like AT last year level now!
