Silencer...sadly it seems that the thread heading are no longer applicable, as if the x-clamp fix are temporary. Few 3ROD survivors via x-clamp method are indeed getting those dreaded errors back. Tot are planning to try revive some including himself via hot gun method first. Wish him and others good luck.

Sigh......tot revived console died too???? So far...3 dead again..... Tot....since u r an expert here....mind to let us know on any other option..if my xbox 360 die again....I'll go for my old fav hobby...fishing.....

Do not use the hotgun method first because the hotgun method is like pushing it to the extreme end with the heat. I would rather suggest using the x-clamps first only heatgun..

And remember to patch fully the areas where you do not intend to heat with lotsa aluminium foils...

Kelakarr..Tot went out buying a new one ( tension punya pasal). Went home, gatal-gatal tangan switch on the supposedly broken 360, and it works. Lagila tension mamat tu.

There's a probability that all this hooplass got to do with the temp sensor. Tot's noticed that his "newly revived" 360's fans are spinning fast, as compared previously. His take was that this revert problems didn't happened to Judge coz his console has modified fan done by Metalgrind. Proofs!! He just noticed it happens to another "newly revived" console own by none other...you!!

Yeah my old revived 360 that was dead on Saturday came back alive yesterday, I asked my son to play some games (from 2pm until 10pm) that's 8hrs straight and it's ok. I noticed that when it went dead again the fan was not spinning fast enough to pull out the heat/hot air and that was the cause of the 3ROD again(yeah many great thanks to MS). After the fan managed to spin at it normal speed at 5v, everything is fine.

This situation goes the same with Arj's 1ROD problem. After the fan managed to spin at it's normal speed, it is ok.

I'm doing the 12v fan mod (on one of 3ROD case that went dead again, it's not yours Arj but if you want me to do it on yours I will) right now so that it will bypass that stupid temp/speed sensor.

MS should really look into the quality of the 360 motherboard. I've read at joystiq that one company in UK that has been doing repairs for x360 is now refuse to repair any 3ROD cases as they said the problem is the mainboard and the repair cost for each 3rod case is very high.
