Not yet. I was looking at it earlier but don't dare to buy right away since if packaging opened (like my Solex 1900) then cannot return cry.gif

Anyone tried gear transmission lock? Not sure about its intrusiveness and effectiveness compared to steering lock.

Did they take out auto light sensitivity setting in new Civics? I went to Settings -> Vehicle -> Lighting Setup but it’s not there? C’mon Honda Malaysia....

I also updated Garmin map only took 2 minutes installing from USB to the HU

I gave them a piece of my mind. Without informing buyers who has the loan approved and confirm purchase before June is like stealing and cheating to make more profit.
*
Wow. I should do the same. The fact that my SA didn’t know about it too and he seemed genuinely pissed at HM for not informing dealers of the changes just goes to show how out of the loop everyone else is.

What exactly does this do?

I don't recall seeing this on mine.

As far as i know the light sensors for the auto headlamp cannot be adjusted unless you go into the service mode.
*
It changes how sensitive the auto headlight is to ambient light. For instance my windshield is tinted so the lights come on even when it’s evening and it’s still quite bright out. The owner’s manual also said it should be present. Wondering if someone with 2017 model can check if this is present on their HU setting

Our models don't have. US have the option.

You probably mistaken it as meter cluster sensitivity light
*
Fuuhh really? When did you get your car bro? I recall seeing people talk about auto light sensitivity somewhere in this thread before. Well glad to know I’m not the only one with this feature missing lol

I can only find this remotely related to the light sensors (i think) forgot the menu name but dare not adjust as i don't understand what the settings are for
user posted image

Not really indicative it is for anything that purpose anyways.

I just did a thread search and looks like Malaysian models indeed don’t come with auto headlight sensitivity... a disappointment. I guess I’ll move the light stalk from auto to the next option below to force headlights to turn off but keep taillight and DRLs on.

Since everyone's talking about ways to immobilize vehicles in the event of a car theft... I was quoted RM450 for a pedal lock that plugs into a socket underneath the steering wheel area, I was told it's plug-and-play so it doesn't void the car's warranty and that it's easy to activate/deactivate. Probably looks something like this.. anyone installed before and know if it affects driver comfort in the legroom area? It's supposed to immobilize the vehicle when it's active, so you have to deactivate it by unlocking in order to physically/mechanically unlock it and by doing so also release the immobilizer.

Lol this isn't the exact model I was quoted for la. I actually don't know what the brand is.. but RM450 including installation at their workshop. Just the look is similar to the one in my pic.

Also not sure if anyone noticed but all the stolen Civics lately are all white color, is it because it's easier to spray paint over it? Mine is modern steel metallic... not sure I want to go through the trouble of installing a pedal lock because someone mentioned if accident or something and accidentally locked the pedal or it fly out and cucuk = icon_idea.gif

I think I said that, my SA told me got 1 case drive drive then cannot brake.
Unit removed and full refund.
How true, im not sure...
*
GG la wtf. I think better don't install if that's the case. I'd rather park at a safe spot and always use a Faraday Cage to prevent signal relay attack, and if touch wood got stolen then claim insurance and buy another car that doesn't have keyless entry lol

This is why you buy Momo steering. Full solid all around.

Non collapsible and so hard your arms will break in the event of a crash.
If they got etique, they won't be stealing your car in the first place isn't it?
What modifications are you talking about? At a lost here

Aesthetics, performance, etc?
Now i am crapping my pants
Dude, we were just messing around.

The brake lock when it should not lock thing could still happen though.
I'd crap my pants if that were to happen to me
Cars get stolen everyday la

Is there a statistics on how, when and where those Civics are stolen? I only seen one video recently on youtube but i heard that it was actually a house break in and i think the robbers got the key and took the car for a ride.

How about other cases?

The Kajang one i heard about. I thought it was some house robbery and the thieves made away with the car or something like that?

Not sure, but either way extra precautions would've helped stop the robbers/thieves. I edited the post with another one I found. They're all white lol

Somebody, please give this boy here some ice cold beer, and ice bath.

Chill dude...chill....malaysia doesn't have the best when comes to security but it isn't lawless to the point like south america lar....

This is just a car.....The medical bills you rack up from all the stress induced illness cost you more than the car itself on the longer run....

Get yourself gap insurance lah.....it will cover the difference between market value and actual car replacement value. If car got stolen/totaled, almost like 1 to 1 exchange for a new same car....

Or just paint your car red....

Haha I don’t have a white car, was just trolling @KnightSports since he has white... devil.gif

I've test driven the Mazda3 before, the steering is so much more responsive and the car drives really well but good luck when going through bumpy roads lol (in Penang there are quite a lot that I usually travel through like Gottlieb Road). Ultimately for the sake of comfort and rear legroom and headroom I opted for the Civic.

Aiyo all this talk about security and theft damn depressing, changing topics lol. Does anyone know if fuel economy is supposed to be sh** the first 1000km or something? SA pumped full tank for me when I took car, and my estimated total mileage is only about 420km prorated from what's left in the tank now... Penang traffic, so lots of stop and go, but 420km is pretty bad eh

QUOTE(mcchin @ Jul 17 2018, 06:04 PM)
driving in penang city drive according to dash 10~12 km/l

driving at highway, pg-kl would yield average 16.5~17km/l

so heavy start stop would get bad mileage since car is quite on the heavy side for city drive
*
How accurate is the km/l data displayed on the dash? Is that dynamic estimation or real time data based on liters burned vs distance traveled? There's also a bar that keeps moving up and down as you drive (on the fuel view).

QUOTE(zeroimpact @ Jul 17 2018, 06:09 PM)
Still in first 1000 km. mine is more than 500 at 11 to 12 km/l
*
That's really good, city driving? I already have Econ mode activated still so bad FC lol
