OK as some of you may know, I've been waiting for delivery of my car since 14 May when I first booked before the election and before we know for sure about 0% GST... ETA of car at the time was 15th July but my SA from Penang Sungai Pinang branch managed to push my delivery date up to 12th July because there was another fella who ordered the same model as I did—
a modern steel metallic 1.5 TC-P—but his loan application process hit some snags along the way, and so I got my car a couple days earlier than expected.
I bought a FobGuard (a mini key fob sleeve that works like a Faraday Cage blocking RF signal to prevent signal amplification theft method) and a Solex 1900 steering wheel lock but to my disappointment the steering lock
does NOT work on the Civic steering wheel because the leather wrapping is quite thick. Lucky my mum is getting her Vios soon so I'll just pass it off to her—filial son eh?
Anyway I can start with the showroom delivery experience I guess. We went there at 5pm sharp as instructed by SA but when we got there we were told the workshop (not in-house, but beside the dealership) guys are still performing some final touch ups to the coating (GM-Tech diamond coating), so we waited for about 30 minutes before going into the workshop. The workshop is beside the dealership so I decided to just get coating and tinting done there too immediately after the car arrives.

SA then proceeded to walk me through how things work but of course I already knew most of it especially because I read the manual beforehand (borrowed from my cousin in law who has a 1.5 TC). Surprisingly my SA didn't know Honda took out the swipe-to-change-volume, tilt and ultrasonic sensors, so I had to
educate him a bit and point him to this forum (hi John if you're seeing this

).
I had a checklist I was ticking off one by one as I walked around the car inspecting things, but everything went well except they forgot to order the door visor and door protector film so I have to go back next week for them to do that. My experience was very positive overall dealing with Kah Motor Sg. Pinang, SA even pumped full tank but most probably RON95 but hey can't complain

On top of everything else, some people may be aware that Honda Malaysia promised some sort of free gift as part of the Ramadan deal, so here's mine: 5 glass Pyrex dishes, very high quality and microwaveable and can be baked in oven. Great value IMO.
