Any chance that you pull the fob out of the guard because it does so good a job that you can't open the door and so co-incidentally someone is there within close enough range to capture the signals. He could in theory clone the codes already and you are as good as screwed. Paranoid talk la.

If you are that paranoid, cost is not going to be a problem else bring a custom made faraday cage out and that will be safe, customizeable and cheap AF.

If you are worried about it. I don't think the RM2xx price tag is really that bad. It is after all something physical that you hold onto and you use it actively compared to car location services which is practically akin to paying for insurance. Something you don't hope to use but when you use it, it does not necessarily solve all your problems after paying all the high costs of keeping it afloat.

What if at the point that the car is recovered, it is full of bullet holes or already half torn apart? and you cannot get the insurance to cover it? I might as well make sure the car cannot be traced and torch the car and call it a day.

I am not really sure what to make of it. Of course, i also had a friend where he had an instance where his car was driven from one place to another and then just dumped there with everything inside unlocked and nothing missing at all. That was a luckier scenario, but even he was not really that happy about it because psychologically he does not know what the thief did inside his car and he was not really comfortable driving it afterwards.

He was dumbfounded by why the theft took place in the first place. Maybe the thief found out the car was GPS tracked after driving off and decided to just dump it there instead.

So, this is the main reason why i think i don't like a post-warning system. I rather opt for preventive systems rather than a warning after something happens.
