When u pull out and in locked position, the pedal lock can be seen from side window lar.. No need smash to know.

Secondly thief nowadays with special device can just unlock keyless entry car and drive away within 1 min as if they have the key. No need smash also.

Thief only smash ur windows to steal valuables. Steering lock or pedal lock also useless.

Can go for the Mazda 3 2.0 or New Corolla. Nice design also. Both cars have better handling & build quality than Civic.. offcourse the power cannot match the Civic Turbo lar..+ more expensive. .. lol

Or the new Hyundai Elantra 2.0? with year end rebate only RM 98k.. value for money.

Changed my compressor set last year 1st batch civic 1.5TC.. often blow warm air but no sound.

Now is this sound. Last month sent to SC test.. they said is normal.. even ask me try another few months old civic... also have the same sound. But seems like nobody complain here...

I told them is irritating.. cannot be normal. My other Honda cars don't have such aircond sound.. .. so they claim another compressor for me & to replace next week.

Hopefully is a better improved version.

The new Sentra looks good as well. Side profile looks quite similar to civic.

No car is perfect with 0% defect 1 la..My friend dad brand new Merz E200 >RM 300k first 6 months already broke down twice & tow back to SC. Sensor problem.

There are thousands of Civic FC OTR and this i believe first case i heard.

More civic OTR means you can hear more owners complain but many owners also have no problem with their car.

Lets say civic sold 1000 units a month, 5% problem = 50 owners complains

New mazda 3 sold 20units a month, 5% problem = 1 owner complain

50 vs 1 complain. This makes ppl think that Civic a very problematic car. true mou?

But no doubt CBU M3 build quality way better than CKD Civic, price also way higher

Is much safer with additional pedal lock / steering lock. Yes can claim insurance but it takes time & very troublesome.

Im using Locktech too. before that was using steering lock. Pedal lock is much much easier la. To lock just pull. 1 second, to unlock just use key with 1 turn. 3 seconds. How time consuming can it be? Confirmed zero interfere with legs movement. No matter how u move.. cant even touch the pedal lock. No regret but peace of mind.

Mine installed since Sept19, so far 100% success (used about 20times).

Btw mine installed at windscreen on top of Road tax. The guy said civic FC have problem if stick on headlight.

No Hyundai already discontinue the 1.6 turbo. Now only 1 variant Elantra 2.0 facelift for only RM 90k+ after disc.

With the "New Malaysia excise duty regulations introduced for 2020 could see CKD car prices “rise by up to 15%”. Very high possibility the new CKD tax rate will affect the coming Civic facelift. If is true with 15%, 1.8 will price about 126k, TC 140k and TCP 150k OTR.

With the new ckd price, is better to get a CBU car. Not much different in price.

Hopefully the Govn will still approve the facefift civic with old CKD tax rate
