Wanna ask .
Can replacing the stock bulbs (low beam) with Night Breaker or Philips Crystal Vision consider an upgrade in term of brightness?
Cause lumen wise , stock bulb is 1350.
NB is also 1350 lumen while Crystal V is 900lumens. Can anyone advise ? thx

I've had my new Civic TCP for about a month now, clocked in around 800km. Lots of city driving, including in heavy traffic. But fuel consumption is uncharacteristicly bad, when I go by the table below that was sent to me my an SA.

For comparison, my HRV's fuel consumption is quite consistent with the table. About 11 to 12km/l. My civic is currently at 11km/l.

Any idea what's up?

So today something weird happened. I released parking brake and the brake pedal so the car cruises forward at a low speed from my parking spot as usual, then suddenly there was a huge sound like clock clock, felt like it was the tires so I went out to check, wasn’t it, all was fine. Then I went into the car again and moved forward and heard it again then I kept moving anyway, and when coming to a junction and I had to brake, there was a soft clock clock sound as if from the tires, again went out to check nothing was wrong with tires.

After driving around a bit everything appears to be fine now.

Anyone had this issue before? Now I’m scared

is it possible that its due to rust from the brake disc? it does make it hard to get the car moving first... subsequently should be normal...

The trick to eliminate static electricity

BEFORE you come out from the car, open car door and touch on metal of the door to discharge (do not step out of the car before discharging)

Using the above trick, they will not be any ‘spark’.

Hi All Sifu here, just a sharing from my end.

I just bought my Honda Civic 1.5 TC on mid november 2018.
Sad news is, my car was stolen last week when I was parking by the roadside in Bukit Jalil.
There are more than 100 cars are parking there but they handpicked my car.

I integrated my TnG to TnG wallet and the theft drove my car straight away to Kempas Johor.

Reported police and submitted to insurance case. and I also heard from other Civic owners that they are quite scared as quite a number of cases happening now.

Any of you encounter aircond problems? I read there's a member here complaint on the aircond hissing sound.

Anyway, am asking whether your aircond is still as cold as the first day? Reason I'm asking is because I believe I'm having a minor (and may turn to major) air cond problem. I didn't know about this problem until I drove my wife's car a couple of weeks ago during the weekend. Parked under hot sun for less than 40 mins and when I entered and drove off, the aircond is somewhat blowing hot air for at least a good 5-7 mins. Then it gradually became cooler (not cold) until perhaps a good 20-30 mins, only then the aircond became cold.

Of course my wife wouldn't realise this as a problem as I don't think female are as sensitive as male (err... don't judge me for stereotyping ). Anyway, made an appointment with Honda today to check the air conditioning system. I suspect it's the compressor. Reason being the above and today I notice that it gave a slight humming sound when it's operating.

If so, it would be pretty sad to see a less than 2 year old car having a somewhat compressor failure.

Will update the outcome in the coming days.

What I personally feel is that the car will start to accelerate when I step on it, but when I’m almost flooring it, it feels like the power is cut out entirely and the car will just stutter. Thus whenever I feel this, I will naturally lift my foot off as I fear I might damage some components.

I’ve never tried it with S mode or S mode + econ off as I’m usually stuck in city traffic so I’ll seldom have clear roads to blaze past.

Anyways, any ideas whether there is a noticeable difference in FC with econ on & off?

Went to did my 20k service... then they checked that my battery left 79% which is require to change. Hmmm any recommended battery for 1.8?
