Brembo brake system as in the whole kit? Calipers, pads, discs, lines?

For what purpose btw? Appearance? Safety?
*
Saw few Vellfire upgraded their rim, brake system but combo theirs with unknown tyre brand

i think spare parts thingy very subjective. I dont know la, i drive proton preve 9years already, ppl say this car very rare hard find parts, problem is, nothing serious breakdown (touchwood) lol.

i guess it boils down to how regular u service maintain ur car la. even honda also they don stock their parts at their service centre le, if suddenly got special parts like engine piston rosak, ma need to wait lo.

CX5 resale value still very strong tho. now only hope the price did not up car alot.
*
in my experience, max of around 14 days can arrive the parts, majority lesser. max i had 14 days for side mirror replacement under warranty, as the day 11-14 required it to send painting shop.

CX5 RV was affected as well due to the x50/x70 price offer. the family bought CX5 in June 2020, less than a month can get the car vs 3 months for x70 circa that year.

hi guys, went to change tayar today.
Salesman say VIKING tyre is come from the same factory as continental factory.
using same material and technology but without excessive marketing and hence the price cheaper.

is that true?

anyone using viking tyre so far?
quality ok ?
*
My office car Preve with Viking tyre, tread still look new. But rain is poor. Traction control keep on blinking on heavy rain at highway.
Forgot what Viking model but 17" size

Realised lots of review came out yesterday, all came from Sepang.

Most reviews are specific on soundproofing, enhanced engine , longer wheelbase and the honda sensing (boring).

Overall all reviewers only gave positive reviews?

Avoiding negativity from the crowd, probably none of them directly mention how it looks more like continental than japanese (accept comparing with bmw), the front that looks like old Accord and the rear that looks like old Vios.

Anyway looks are personal preference. It is up to the people/buyer now to determine the sales of this gen of Civic…

QUOTE(DM3 @ Dec 15 2021, 11:40 AM)
yup,invited/some sponsored by car makers so expected to be bias/postive reviews usually
*
All media here always give positive reviews. Same goes to YouTubers, all praise only.

1.8s

1.5T
user posted image

You can absolutely follow to the maintenance schedule above
But some SC might not be happy about it

What they look for is water fish
Those that service 600-800 each time

Also remember that 1.5T service doesn't includes engine oil and filter change. So you might think "WOW! 1.5t service cheaper than 1.8s!"
No it's not

You're looking to add 120 to 170 on the price stated in there if the schedule matches with the maintenance minder
If not, you can look to change oil more frequently than the 6 months interval
*
pros owning a Honda, the price of maintenance is generally cheap and affordable. in my experience sending my car within the warranty period (5 years), u need to stand a point to the SA of each SC. they will ALWAYS beg u to add another list of services out of the manual. just said I will follow the manual, don't add anything other than manual, is suffice already for the warranty.

Cons. Brake pad suck but costs rm650-700. Need to replace with aftermarket. Crowded customers on weekends. easily need 1/2 to full day for normal service if weekend even with an appointment. My solution, send the car on weekdays and straight go to work, evening drop SC and pickup

after 5yrs, ive used shell 5-40,seems the car hve slight reduce oil/need top up, n the issues of 0-20w dilution seems real, last time no need to top up, as the level seems to be always filled to max.
now gonna use 5-40 + slightly over half of 0-20
*
I prefer to use recommended viscosity by manufacturers. At least it give a better FC
