Didn't really like the plant shots, they seemed somewhat bland to me

/edit Plant shots being the first few that were posted, not the flowers
yeah. no problem. like i mentioned, the purpose was to attempt in mixing the colors of the subject and background.

I think the last plant shot would be great if it had morning dew on it. Always wanted to take one such picture myself but I wake up too darn late for that

yeah. i've love to have that too, unfortunately i was snapping during lunch hour after 10 laps of swimming.

morning ah? i go there to rest la so sleep kau kau. wake up to snap the sunrise horizon and back to sleep again. hehe.

ex, this
http://www.goldfries.com/images/gallery/al...0525awana37.jpgthe lower part of the pink abit blur, but this kind of snap very creative, u using close up filter ar?
yeah the thing is i'm not parellel with the petal. so the macro focusing will be off on certain areas. the only thing i didn't like about that shot was that it's pretty dim but i can't resist the flower at that area so i decided to make the best of what i can out of it.

here's one that i missed out

most of the flowers shots are overexposed.
take a closer look, i personally don't find it over-exposed because most of the flowers are actually bright yellow on the upper layer. coupled with the darker background, it looks even brighter. some more snapped under noon's bright (and HOT) sunlight.

if you look around the same type of flowers, you'll notice that some have a distinct gradient from bright yellow to red. some are purely orange, others are orange to red. blablablablalb - that's because there are so many of them, each having varying degree of coloration.
