managed to get 3 whatsapp + 3 wechat at note 8. no need to bring 2 phone out now. can teach me how to do..  sorry I don't know how to TAG... |

 Lunch break just now, inspect closer my just arrived phone, no scratches it seems, though it's kinda dusty, bwoah no biggie so far. Later gonnna check for light bleed, hopefully not too bad. |

Is it me or auto brightness is less sensitive than before? Entering dim or dark areas will still keep at high level brightness, and will take some time to reduce to optimal condition. |

received it by today. Awesome! Total damage was RM 3330 inclusive of some how so called curved Tempered Glass which i have no idea how to install lol |

Since Note4 I use the stock browser till now. No regret at all. Also the phone is not burdened with so many apps as I can disable the Chrome.

About battery life ... quite a lot of user mentioned battery life not so good but personally I feel the battery life improve a lot compared to using my 2 years old note 5....

Batt life is so so only. If you use fingerprint sensor heavily then u will find the sensor is not as good as other brand. Performance wise it will shine a lot due to its processor and 6GB ram. Yea, the battery life for Note 8 isn't that bad..i come from Note 3, so is way better XD...depends on your lifestyle, if you're working in office type, you wont look at your phone so often, mostly just whatsapp in between working hours and FB during lunch time...definitely can last through a whole day with around 20% left at night..the only worry is that when the Note 8 battery dies, really need to send to SC to replace it...hopefully the battery can last at least 3 years

Used to worry about battery a lot but what the heck, might as well exploit all the damn features on such a pricey phone. Life is short, haha!
Unless your job requires you to be outside most of the time, the battery shouldn't be an issue. I'm in the line of sales hence I'm constantly replying text messages and making calls. When I'm going out to meet clients, my Waze and Spotify are constantly turned on in the car. Therefore, consumption is quite heavy. So long you have a charger in the office, get into the habit of supplying enough juice to your phone before leaving. I also carry around the charger lest the situation is dire I can always stop at a cafe to charge. If I'm relying on the complimentary power bank by Samsung. Capacity @ 5100 definitely isn't much but it's alright for daily use and the upside is that it charges fast and I love how lightweight it is. Plenty of things to be done to ensure you have battery on the go! Enjoy your phone guys. PS: I'm a fan of charging my devices at the office. If you have plenty of gadgets you should make use of free electricity supply. Haha! |

Not backing Samsung or anything, but I dont think we could expect a solid performer with a many features and yet expect outstanding battery life. That would be a perfect phone.

Been a silent reader for the last 3 threads. Haha. I joined the Note 8 family as well last week. Mine is roadshow set. I reached Pavillion mall around 10am. Surprisingly found out that I was still able to become one of the first 100 customers. I guess the hype was not that hot compared to S7 edge? Joined the Korea celebrity case-signing event bandwagon as well like bro xisan, eventhough I am not a superfan of her. At first the staff also warned me that no camera & selfie shoot allowed. But I saw some people before me didn't care and they took the selfie shot with her successfully. So I thought why not? So I also took the photo with her, for 2017 memories. I guess eventhough the Samsung staff didn't agree, they couldn't do anything at all if the celebrity herself agreed to take the selfie. LOL. Coming from S8 plus (already sold), on the spec sheet, Note 8 indeed is no different with S8/S8 plus. But the user experience of both are not on the same level. Note 8 is faster & smoother (thanks to the 7.1.1 & Samsung experience 8.5 ?). Sound is louder. The screen color & brightness is slightly better. Camera performance is slightly better due to the extra feature of dual lens. And the S Pen! Oh boy. It's much better compared to Note 5 (ex-Note 5 user btw). The pen body structure and its color is kind of dull though compared to last 2 generations. Too much plastic feel. LOL. I am satisfied with the battery life. No PDP/BK disabler apk. No gaming. Brightness 40%. Only browsing internet, whatsapp, calling & a little bit of youtube & music. Wifi (70%) + Data (30%). SOT can reach 7-8 hours every circle. Of course, it's slightly weaker compared to S8 plus. But they have no choice but to sacrifice it for the S-Pen user space, which I think it's worthy. It is what it is. No complaint here. This was the first time I joined Samsung roadshow. It's kind of boring. But at least they keep it in order and everyone got what they want. The fans met with their idol and the customers got their phones with freebies. Only one complaint. They didn't have maple gold color in stock and they didn't tell the people in advance. Some people were disappointed because they came specifically for the gold color. Samsung reaaly need to improve their publicity department. They should take the effort to inform the people early. Fortunately, nothing bad happened. People were being patient and they accepted the other color. My rating to this roadshow event, not so good, but not too bad either due to the bonus of taking selfie with the celebrity. Anyone had their screen protection done at mobile outfitters?
Can anyone recommend a case that won't push the sp up at the sides? I have no choice but to stick with the mobile outfitters sp since it cost me Rm190 with lifetime warranty. I tried spigen rugged armor and liquid air armor and they both pushed the corners up causing air bubbles. I need to go back to outfitters to have it done again but need to get another case that works with it. Hope someone can help recommend! |

Not really also...I am using invisible shield now and it covers the side up till the back.. so the side sensitivity not impacted...

So that was a bummer, it collects dust at the sides. And when the guy installed it the first time, he didnt install it properly, it was senget a bit, so I asked him to adjust, probably then the glue is not so sticky anymore. impossible to get qoo10 voucher nowadays, i tried everyday for the past week. the voucher dont even last for 3 second. either qoo10 reduced the amount of the voucher daily or somebody hack/tapau the voucher.

Yesterday was my first full day with my Note8, here to report battery life. Started the day with full charge.
Yesterday I used 1 sim, mostly wifi in office and home, a few hours outside on Umobile 4G, I got 5 hours SOT with about 20% battery left. Used fb, chrome, youtube, whatsapp mostly. Today, similar like yesterday except use 2 sim, so far got 1 hr 30min SOT while battery left 80%, that's roughly can expect 6 to 7 hours SOT at the end of the day. This is pretty good, better than my previous OP3 averaging 4.5 to 5 hours SOT by my usage, though the fast charging feels very slow, as I've been spoilt the past 1 year with OP3's insanely quick Dash Charge haha. |

I think connection also used up a lot of battery... under Android OS if you try to view the battery usage... once you click on the Android OS... you can see items like cpu and also connection...how many % they use ..

My 2nd phone iPhone 7 Plus just K.O.. i'm thinking to use only note 8 for now..

Sometime i wonder why some people prefer to try cheaper alternative like x one, neo flex, or any sp / tg that cost rm40 to rm100 each? Buy few, apply, not satisfied, trial and error few times, if u add up the total cost, u might as well go for clear coat or hao tg one shot which are already proven they are the most recommended pet sp and tgsp. And most importantly, they stick well and last long.

Tbh, i hope camera can done better. Saw comparison with iphone 8 plus, for very 1st time i think iphone got an edge this time around.
I also feels telephoto on iphone looks more natural. Hopefully few updates can improve the result. |

I use more than 1 week adee... yesterday was the first time someone actually noticed my phone and asked is that a new phone ... somehow note 8 doesn't really attract attention ....

For those who have slapped on custom launchers, can you confirm if the screen off memo still works? Are there any features that are only exclusive to stock launcher? I'm itching to switch back to Nova for aesthetic reasons, haha.

Update for my xone sp today :
1. Only got 3 tiny bubble compare yesterday so damn ugly 2. Corner not applied very well thus got 'bubble' 3. Overall compare from yesterday very satisfied should do more careful after this to apply pet sp. Hehe. |

What is the benefit buying Note 8 from the Samsung Shop? There is a phone shop beside Samsung Shop in my area that is selling Note 8 for Rm3899. Rm100 cheaper than Samsung shop.
Also, how to I check or know the Note 8 that I am getting is genuine? In fact, what should I do or know before I am buying Note 8? Any tip and suggestion are welcome. Thinking to get Note 8 in the next week. |

initially thought the samsung default put unused app to sleep functionality able to put all unused apps to sleep
but then found out that, it can't put the samsung apps to sleep even we are not using it at all and some of these apps do running in the background i am still tweaking and customizing the phone from all aspects, uninstalled some unused google apps |

I just got myself a Ringke Fusion Case for my Note 8. Although it adds some weight to the phone, the casing is still lightweight and provides some sturdiness to the phone.
