Hi guys...anyone know what happens to TP when u go for 12 months 0% installment with maybank amex. Example purchase iphone from Harvey Norman with maybank 0% 12 months installments. So the TP will be given divided into 12 months or the TP will be given for the full amount?
Thanks.

Should be 1 off given at the point of swipe.

Installment usually x1 treatpoint only, btw.

Someone confirmed it's X1.

You can search the thread, I think.

Nope. It will continue remain on your Amex card to offset ur future expense on Amex card only. Won't auto split.

I got to know this from maybank today although i find it a bit silly.

If the supplementary card shares the same limit with the principal, it will not work if it reaches the max limit, although the amount has paid in advanced. Lets say, Rm5k limit but Rm10k has been pumped in, so the max the supplementary can use is Rm5k.

The main card won't have this issue. The supplementary card will only work on the new billing cycle it seems due to some system of MBB.

Anyone can verify this?

Based on the forex rate during the transaction, there is normally a 1.5% service charge rate. I always find it useful to multiply the amount with 2.5% - the actual amount is very close to this.

So 154.3 * 3.11 *1.025 = 491.87 (approx)

You can try to capitalize the 5% weekend CB but please note that it takes 1-2 days to post the transaction (and CB is calculated on the posting date not the transaction date)

Amex will be around 2.5% admin charges. And dont get misunderstandings, cb always track based on transaction date which must fall on weekends. Just the RM 50 cb pool will based on the posting date of eligible transaction. Normally will only happened last weekends of month.

Just wondering, if i paid in advanced for Amex and i've not used it, can this amount be used to offset with amount used in the Visa card?
*
Probably give them a call to move the fund to offset the other card.

If I book through AirAsiaGo and Expedia, the amount charged on my AMEX will be the amount quoted in RM on the booking page right?

There will be no exchange rate involved, am I right?

It was a bit weird just now, as both sites preauthorise my AMEX with RM4 for few occasions and the payment page does not even need me to key in TAC through MSOS.

Hi I have the same problem like you too the last time I book. They rejected my AMEX payment eventhough the payment did went through and I received email saying to pay using other method other than credit card. To make things worst, I cannot apply the maybank code as it says I have redeemed it.

At last, I need to checkout using debit card and I managed to apply the code and checkout the next day. Their customer service is also worst, they cannot help about the code either.

U are using web or app? Must book through app only. Booked last month without any problem.
