QUOTE(dikae @ Dec 19 2017, 01:25 PM) haha but that should be the right way, I mean if everyone got button issue then get 1:1 change then people might abuse it.. Yea. But she did it. Anyway hopefully mine doesn’t involve in any warranty 🙊 just to wish my phone works perfectly for me 2 years, that is enough. If more than that, maybe i can sell and buy a new one.

QUOTE(dikae @ Dec 19 2017, 01:18 PM) hmm they do 1 to 1 change for home button faulty? I thought most of the time they'll just change the button?.. and its said that those button wouldn't last long.. about 2-3 months Apple dont repair, they offer 1 to 1 replacement exchange. Last time my camera sensor have 'dead spot' & they give brand new replacement

I have seen alot of people wrote that, Apple just replace your phone with a refurbished set which looks like a new set Wonder if this is true. Is this recently happen on your phone?

QUOTE(dikae @ Dec 19 2017, 11:44 AM) buttons are being covered in warranty right? i.e home button failure? or it is considered wear and tear.. yup covered. 1 of my colleague last time bought a 5s and super sayang the phone and never use any physical button except the power button, not even during purchase checking time. after a year+ 1 day she try to use the volume button but 1 of the button not responsive at all. she think most probably due to factory defect since she so sayang her phone and never use those buttons before takkan suddenly rosak. go to service center and they told her if within the year she found out and will giving a 1 to 1 replacement. (that time 1 to 1 not as fishy as now). so after listen her story i always advise people to use their phone button as much as we can within the first year just in case anything happen we can still claim for it. after 1 year warranty ended liao then we can start sayang the phone by use those buttons as less as we can.

QUOTE(realitec @ Dec 19 2017, 01:20 PM) By that time I am using Samsung though, thats why impressed by Apple. But now, Apple only repair the phone instead of changing it 1 to 1. this is very true, they only will allow 1 to 1 changes provided they can't fixed the issue. but at least is better find out some potential defects/issue during the warranty period to avoid any hassle and regret afterward.

Yea. I feel grateful that Apple provide assistive touch features which make us doesn't even need to press any button to wake/unlock the phone. As all jobs can be done from the screen. Is this recently happen on your phone? I don't think Apple will give refurbished set, anyway if true i'm fine cos they're giving additional x months warranty on the replaced set. By the way, the set the replaced for me looks new & wrapped nicely in film (like new set), just without box only.

Maybe true, I'm not sure. But Apple will reset all the info like serial number. The replaced set when you enter the serial number, it will show new warranty information or tagged to your earlier warranty (whichever is longer).

QUOTE(chicaman @ Dec 19 2017, 05:27 PM) Hows iOS11 so far? Stable? I am still on iOS10 lol depends on your device. if you not really needed the features in iOS11, is better for you to stay in iOS10 especially elder devices. heard that so far the most stable & best version is iOS10.3.3. i've seen some people wanna buy a second hand device but specifically only for iOS10.3.3.
