I have this problem with IOS 11.1 on iPhone 6S.
*
Yes since iOS 11, weird though I only get this problem on 7plus, not ipX...anyone else experiencing this?

Just to update, iOS 11.1.2 is released. So far the mentioned fixes are targeted for the iPhone X, not sure if there any other under-the-hood changes for other models.

Battery drain was horrible on 11.1.1 (using it for a week now) batter was much better on 11.1, not sure to go for 11.2 or stay...

Not sure why there’s a 20-25 battery drain overnight..usually charge to 100% before sleep and when wake up I’ll see 75-80% left...been like this for the last 7 days in a row...I turned off all background refresh app and location services and etc...sigh

Anyone update to latest IOS for IP6+?
Any comment?
*
I suggest u not to, ios11 is a total massacre...turned my iPhone into a battery drain machine now...almost giving up iOS..not exaggerating, even put phone on idle also drop 1% every 10-15 mins..imagine if u really use it often..

Hv u reset after upgrade?
*
Yea I did it twice since iOS 11.03 to 11.1 to 11.1.1...it’s so bad that reading and typing this reply took 2% lol? Heartache to see how fast it drain, don’t even bother checking the phone often nowadays coz batt drop every single thing I did ie login fb 1%, switch to insta another 1%, switch to WhatsApp reply few messages 1%...worse is every night when I go to bed at 100%, next morning I’ll see 75-80%...been like that for the last 8 days...

I find this to be very strange. I've got background app refresh turned off as well, and usually when I go to sleep at 11pm or so (after charging the phone to 100%) it still shows 100% when I wake up at 6am. In fact, it's still 100% now at 8.04am.
*
yes some of my friend with ip7+/ip8+/ipX also don't get this problem, but there're also many who get this, so I'd say its luck game, either nothing or big thing...

Wow, didn't know that updating the IOS can "kill" an iphone.
No wonder some iphone owners keep using the IOS that came with the iphone.
*
yeap literally killed the iphone, if i can stick with 10.2 i'll not upgrade, but my apple watch insisted ios11 to be paired..

Well, one last resort you can try is to backup, wipe it clean then restore again and see if it solves the problem.
*
ok will try it out then..thanks

You guys got test youtube and browsing the web see if the battery percentage fast drop or not.
*
I cant 100% confirm this but deleting the youtube app really save me from massive battery drain (this happen on my 7 plus a week ago), now i don't even download YT on my iphone x...to prevent unnecessary batt drain..

wow really disappointment for Apple. iOS11 is really like windows Vista. The most buggy OS ever.

11.2 is same as beta v6.

In any case, I’ll recommend to update as the 11.2 seems to be more stable than any iOS11 versions before

Higher versions of IOS should address the existing bugs and issues. Generally it is advisable to upgrade. I've upgraded on my IPX and so far no major issues.
*
Then what are the minor issues?

So I updated both ip x to 11.2, and charge to 100%, pull out cable and went to bed.

Morning when I get up mine was at 93%, but my wife's remain at 100% sad.gif

I know there are some indexing after an iOS update, but my wife's remain at 100% made me somewhat uneasy sweat.gif

EDIT: I didn't do a restore, just updated through settings. And I just noticed and usage time and standby time were both at 8 hours blink.gif

My iP7+ is doing good in terms of standby, even though just updated yesterday as well. Plugged out at 100% charge at around 10.30pm and was still 100% at 7.00am this morning. After 30 min usage and 10hrs 51mins standby, it's at 98% now. If your wife's one is also at 100% then something could be going on with yours, maybe a rogue app or something.
*
Yea I just checked mine, Usage and standby both at 8 hours 30 mins....while my wife's usage is only 5 mins and standby is 8 hours 30 mins ....wonder what's be running on my device overnight cry.gif

You have Background App Refresh On?
*
Definitely not, that's the first thing I disable.... to make it worse, I did a reboot and now usage/standby shows -...totally can't even track now..and batt is draining much faster now (abit of whatsapp Lyn for 15 mins drained 7%) sighsss

Normal. Usage/Standby statistics reset when you do a reboot. Not much you can do now but monitor it tonight and see how it goes tomorrow.
*
So it's normal for battery to show usage/standby - after a reboot?

Yes i have been getting this batt drain issue every time on iOS update, but only for the first few it'.l be back to normal....and also the overnight drain
