The control Centre is on one page. I like it this way. New interface imo is easier to use than the previous. With some level of customization better still.

Pertaining to notifications, noticed that as we swipe down, its background is the lock screen. Previously, its the current background but is grayed out..

Update 11.0.1 around 273mb size. Available since last night.

My other son is having this hp. All functions works. Not much noticeable lag. According to him, much better interface.

My issue is that sometimes it shows the counters, sometines just '-' When charging gets to 95%, the '-' will then change to min counters. Happens 3 or 4 times. Its on 11.0.1, ip7

Mine rebooted after completng a youtube video..... can't replicate and it only hapeened that 1 time.

Probably there are apps running in the background. This is what I have noticed with mine. There seem to be a lot of background activity unlike in ios 10.3.3.

Yes I concur too. I am looking at my battery details and top drainers are:-
1. YT, 36min on screen 1.4hrs background.
2. Whats app, 35min on screen, 1.1hrs background.
3. Spotify 28min on screen, 3.3hrs background.

So I make it a point to close all the apps manually, see whether it improves.

You could try upgrading using the dpfu mode. As the firmware can be had from formware websites. I have never tried this before, so I can't advise how it is done. Might I suggest getting the procedures from Apple discussion forums.

Ayaaaaa...... receiving a call while watching video on youtube, the video is NOT fully muted, very annoying.

It depends on how you set Safari in ios. You can choose between google, yahoo and bing. Any searches done on safari will follow search engine that you set.

Now if you use the search window in iOS, the phone will search links within apps too. The answer will be categorised in groups such as websites, web searches, siri base etc etc

If you want to search a location in wave for example, then open waze app and search.

AFAIK, if you click the links in whatsapp, it will go to the website of the link itself by using safari. If the link is a location, it will go to maps app. And there is an icon on the bottom left where you can choose to open the location on waze etc.

Another example like Spotify, if you are downloading an album to your phone. Even if your phone on standby, it will download the files in the background until finish provided you did not close the app.

I did this this morning. Quite straight forwards really. Rebuiding the library also quite easy using 'add to library'.

At least with this version my apps are showing for ios11.

Bro, isn't preference would be for wifi 1st then mobile data? I mean if I am at home, it will latch to wifi. When wifi not available only then auto to mobile data.

In other words, update using the phone directly, under settings>general>software settings.

The other way is hooking up to your pc/mac and update through itunes. Both also dont need to redo anything, as data would not be affected.

Remember to do a full backup before any updating your phones.

Nope. Operations as normal. Battery drain has also normalised.
