Reason I asked is that I want to gift the phone but keep the line. So maybe sometime in the near future may just stop subscribing.
*
You can do that , is just that you'll be blacklisted. They have your name, IC , and maybe even CC number.
They can publicize your record to other telcos, and since you already sign the contract, you cannot complain to consumer tribunal as you are in the wrong.

This contract is the worrying part. If we default, can Celcom block the phone?
*
I believe they can, just like how Maxis do. So in the end the person who got your phone cannot use it if you default.

So lets say I am a new customer to Celcom, I just need to pay RM2,828 + RM700 (upfront payment) for iPhone 8+ 64gb and tie to 24 month postpaid contract.

The website mention the RM700 will instant rebate in 1st month? How it works? It will credited to your bank account?

Can I do installment on the RM2,828 device price?

No, credit back to your Celcom account so you won’t have to pay your phone bill for few months since the RM700 is credited to you.

ur phone line which obviously u already hv so for me if u buy from the aple store no need to add on 24months monthly bill pyment
so in total just 4900 hmm.gif
*
my current Celcom line rm50 (less data and voice) x24 = 1150..
plus Iphone 4900,
Total = 4900+1150 = 6k..

Might as well I upgrade phone and plan since Celcom subsidy quite worth it...I'm just taking calculation for next 2 years of phone usage..

As long as you’ll make full use of the more expensive monthly plans, it’ll be worth it since you are going to use it anyway and at the same time get the phone subsidy.

I did check the monthly plans but it looks like its the same price?

Comparing with First Gold Plus, 40gb data + unlimited calls, its both RM98 for Iphone package and normal line...

None taken. I was a maxis user, went to DiGi, then Celcom, then U, and now back to maxis. Money suckers they are, but unfortunately for me, they have the best coverage where I live, work and play. So for me, it can't be about choosing the cheaper option smile.gif
