QUOTE(biggbro9 @ Sep 13 2017, 07:38 PM) I'm seriously thinking of going iOS way for my next phone..ip10 way off my budget but can stretch a bit for ip8. My question..with ip10 bezel less style the way forward for all future iphones, wouldn't it be pointless to still buy a costly 'soon to be obsolete iphones'? What do you think guys. If you want to step into iOS, perhaps consider the 7 first if you don't want to splurge so much. Official price has dropped and some retailers might offer a promo soon which you might be able to get a 7 Plus for around 3k just like how the 6S Plus was at the beginning of the year.

QUOTE(wklim090 @ Oct 12 2017, 01:31 PM) So lets say I am a new customer to Celcom, I just need to pay RM2,828 + RM700 (upfront payment) for iPhone 8+ 64gb and tie to 24 month postpaid contract. The website mention the RM700 will instant rebate in 1st month? How it works? It will credited to your bank account? Can I do installment on the RM2,828 device price? No, credit back to your Celcom account so you won’t have to pay your phone bill for few months since the RM700 is credited to you.

QUOTE(buncho89 @ Oct 12 2017, 01:35 PM) my current Celcom line rm50 (less data and voice) x24 = 1150.. plus Iphone 4900, Total = 4900+1150 = 6k.. Might as well I upgrade phone and plan since Celcom subsidy quite worth it...I'm just taking calculation for next 2 years of phone usage.. As long as you’ll make full use of the more expensive monthly plans, it’ll be worth it since you are going to use it anyway and at the same time get the phone subsidy.

QUOTE(linuss @ Oct 13 2017, 12:22 AM) Just noticed Zerolution is much more expensive than device upfront.. better grab upfront... Zerolution doesn’t tie you to a contract, if you choose to leave Maxis then you’ll just need to pay up the remaining months of device payment. For the contract, have to pay remaining months of device and mobile plan payment.

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 13 2017, 07:05 AM) Some sort of deposit that they will offset against for future bills. They will waive this if you've been with them for over a year. Can only be waived at Maxis Centres?

QUOTE(shanjuen @ Oct 16 2017, 11:01 AM) Hi all, would like to ask any place for me to purchase/order Iphone 8 with CIMB 0% installment? Did some research and found out telco such as Digi or retailer such as SenQ accept only Mayband or PBB card. Thanks. Last I remember U Mobile does accept CIMB cards for installment.

QUOTE(AaronLJW @ Nov 7 2017, 05:39 PM) Start selling in Malaysia IKEA ody? QUOTE(HippyTony @ Nov 7 2017, 06:24 PM) I was browsing the IKEA MY online and they have 2 on their catalog. I have no idea whether it's available at the store or not. Cheras has stocks for white, no stocks for grey. Damansara has stocks for white, probably limited stocks for grey.

QUOTE(attw @ Nov 8 2017, 09:01 AM) Yup, been using it since iOS 10 Also helps prolong your home button lifespan. That's why I'm having second thoughts about moving to the X. This Raise to Wake + Touch ID combination is super fast when unlocking the phone. Got used to the X on my second day. On the first day yes I did miss how much faster/smoother it is to unlock the phone with Touch ID. Face ID also has its benefits, like now I can choose to not show any preview of notifications (preview of message/WhatsApp) on the lock screen until my face is looking at the screen to unlock the phone etc.

QUOTE(attw @ Nov 17 2017, 07:48 AM) Looking at the activities at the iPhone X thread and telco threads last night, looks like a number of folks held back on the 8 and 8 Plus and pulled the trigger on the X, irrespective of the price. Normal service resumed in the Apple universe. RRP aside, when you compare telco price between the 8 Plus and X, they are really not too far apart. Makes me wonder is the 8 and 8 Plus kinda wrongly priced? At the X’s subsidised price, I guess the choice is clear to get the X.

I guess we’ll have to wait for next year’s release for everything that the X has to offer to mature. Back during the 6 era, it was still having slight issues, then the 6S improved many factors and finally the 7 was really matured. The 8 now is just a solid piece of device, only outdated design.

QUOTE(kennt0312 @ Nov 17 2017, 12:56 PM) so next generation of iPhone prices will be jump from 8 model or X model? if it jump from X, meaning onward iPhone will cost more than 5k or even 6k? Based on rumours, the flagship X should have two screen sizes (a Plus model is on the way). There will be an entry level model which will look similar to the X but it will continue to use LCD display, I think this will have same pricing as current 8 models.

QUOTE(attw @ Nov 17 2017, 03:17 PM) Ya, maybe after we see the real thing we might be glad we decided to go with the 8 Plus. I feel that if you were to play with the phone on display at stores, you might be tempted to buy it. You’ll need to be using it on a daily basis for few days to be able to conclude.

QUOTE(dayangheimy @ Nov 17 2017, 06:59 PM) Yeah me too. Never had a plus before so thats why i choose 8+ instead of X. Plus seeing response from friend that is still using 6s give me hope that i can use plus version for long time with no issue of batt. The Plus model should last slightly longer than X, probably around 1 hour more.
