Coming from nexus 5, so far I'm satisfied with A1. Need some time to familiarize with bigger screen than n5. Looking forward for Orea update at end of year.

I found something interesting, when using 2x zoom actually is just using the left side camera (wide angle) , maybe it could be misunderstand. I thought it was changing from wide angle lens to telephoto lens during zooming . In the end I found out , it use telephoto camera lens during portrait mode only.

So you have to use portrait mode first before zooming to actually use telephoto? No wonder camera comparison doesn't make sense when comparing this phone zoom with some other phone digital zoom, both actually digital zoom.. |

No, choose portrait mode , it will automatically change to telephoto lens , and it is unable to zoom in portrait mode. |

QUOTE(vostro78 @ Sep 23 2017, 07:32 PM) clear type casing with 4 side bump up . cost rm15, fully cover tempered glass rm10. The Mi A1 is actually Mi 5Xthe casing stated as mi 5x, don worry, it fit well. both are the same, just naming scheme is different in each country when is running MIUI or Pure Android MIUI = Mi 5X Pure Android = Mi A1 QUOTE(GTA5 @ Sep 23 2017, 09:19 PM) Quite good actually. "technically" is still a quick/fast charging as qualcomm quickcharge 2.0 specs. If you drain until 5% battery you easily can get around 6-7 hours SOT, which is great for a 3k battery. Thanks to its SD 625 and stock Android. Hopefully the next version of MiA1 gives us fast charging and OIS, then it's a killer. 5V 2.0A is still exceed quickcharge 2.0 standard the OIS is a bummer.....i would have drop my money instantly if its has OIS This post has been edited by herojack41: Sep 24 2017, 10:50 AM |

QUOTE(herojack41 @ Sep 24 2017, 10:49 AM) The Mi A1 is actually Mi 5X 1- Physically same, but they both have different codename (Tiffany vs Tissot). Thus, you cant directly interchange Mi5x rom with Mi A1 or vice versa.both are the same, just naming scheme is different in each country when is running MIUI or Pure Android MIUI = Mi 5X Pure Android = Mi A1 "technically" is still a quick/fast charging as qualcomm quickcharge 2.0 specs. 5V 2.0A is still exceed quickcharge 2.0 standard the OIS is a bummer.....i would have drop my money instantly if its has OIS 2- 5v 2A actually is the speed of QuickCharge 1.0. QUOTE(x-death-x @ Sep 22 2017, 02:16 PM) Its okay, no one know everything. You should do some research on pure android experience before jump to one. Some people don't like because they don't see feature that they already familiar with. yeap. planning to go to directd and play with the phone. thanks for the heads up |

QUOTE(Emo_Boy @ Sep 24 2017, 01:10 PM) Nope, i read it doesn't work on ZTE Axon 7 since ZTE give no support for camera2.api, but i think most brand have no problem with that, including Xiaomi. Even my Redmi Note 4 can enable EIS.QUOTE(DannyOP @ Sep 24 2017, 01:29 PM) Someone ported Mi A1 rom to Mi5x:http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthrea...ghlight=mi%2B5x However Miui rom for Mi A1 still doesnt exist at the moment. QUOTE(alucard89 @ Sep 24 2017, 02:20 PM) Theoretically yes. Some LG G6 and OP5 users also using this. However, Mi A1 uses Omnivision camera sensor while most other flagship uses Sony sensor. I would say 50-50 it will work since the app does not work properly on Redmi note 4 with Omnivision sensor. Need some white rat to test it later lol. |
