Nope. Mi A1 is slightly taller in height than the 5X. There are videos by geekyranjit in youtube that shows you the physical dimensions of both phone. They are only similar in terms of hardware specs. And yes, any cases made for the Mi 5X will not fit onto the A1.

According to C4Tech, since the A1 doesn't support fast charging, it would take approx. 2 hours to fully charge the phone from 15% charge, using the provided 5V 2A power brick/adapter.

According to respectable reviewer, Geekyranjit no fast charging but the battery can last about 1 hour 45 mins on normal to medium use.
