QUOTE(wayne_chen @ May 29 2007, 09:01 PM) Reply more so that you can spam your posts?! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lebron James has been scratchy since 1st game against the Pistons, and even with his spectacular performance in game 3, his actual superiority is much more better than that. Hopefully i can have a look at it tomorrow. This post has been edited by -= Virgil =-: May 29 2007, 09:06 PM |

da nba draft got show on astro??
Added on May 29, 2007, 10:37 pmUtah Fans Pelt Spurs, Floor With Debris Utah fans -- seeing their team lose at home for the first time in eight games this postseason -- showed their disgust by hurling things toward the court, appearing to hit San Antonio's Bruce Bowen with something small. Manu Ginboli and Tim Duncan had post-game interviews on the court cut short by head coach Gregg Popovich, who rushed his players from the court to the safety of the locker room. It was San Antonio's first playoff win in Salt Lake City. The Spurs had been 0-9 counting losses in 1994, '96, '98 and Saturday night This post has been edited by EroS: May 29 2007, 10:37 PM |

^ AFAIK got i think...but i think is delayed version, not live... maybe u can watch through Sports Center thou...
"Portland... pick... Greg Oden..."... ----------- LeBron James is still young.. remember the "Jordan Rule"? Jordan and his Bulls stumbled against pistons because of this. This is that time, Jordan still young.. inexperience.. while Pistons all matured.. similar situation to this DET - CLE, they r using "LeBron Rule" [as what i read] too, so LeBron James get "special treatment" by the pistons, makes him harder to make a play. CLE might fell, but this is not really a bad news coz LBJ will getting better and better next season! He's just 22 yrs old after all... too much pressure on him! |

It was a terrific match! The 4th quarter was so close! The Pistons have the lead early in the 4th but then the Cavs manage to get through with a few jump shots by Gooden which then lift the spirits of the Cavs up!
After that, it was Lebron's time to shine, he charge in to the paint and ditch the ball to Marshall which then Marshall got a foul-in to take the lead.. After that, Lebron did a step back and get the shot in, amazing jump shot by Lebron. Rasheed got his 5th technical foul after that when he threw his headband down the floor Oh btw, Daniel Gibson that rookie of the Cavs did a stunning good job with 22 points. During the long drought of Lebron in the 3rd quarter, it was Gibson who stick with the team and close in the game. He likes to bring in the ball and draw the foul and its just what the Cavs needed. Someone who can do that when Lebron is off-fire This guy is the best deal the Cavs can ever get! This post has been edited by -= Virgil =-: May 31 2007, 01:20 AM |

QUOTE(jayhan @ May 30 2007, 12:04 PM) daniel gibson came out of nowhere. he delivered what the CAVs need, excellent job! Yea, Gibson is great! He is small but then his moves are fantastic in drawing the fouls. And i like his face expression when he manage to get the foul, that sick smile of his the series is even! Btw, i just stumbled upon this article by Kerr on Gibson Cavaliers' rookie revelation QUOTE CLEVELAND -- Who is Daniel Gibson? And what is he doing saving the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals? Gibson, a second-round pick by Cleveland in last year's draft, has had a nice rookie season. He started some games, played a role and showed a nice outside touch. But did coach Mike Brown and general manager Danny Ferry really envision this young guard from Texas having a huge impact in the playoffs? I can't imagine they did. Yet after the Cavs won 91-87 on Tuesday to tie the series with the Detroit Pistons at 2-2, it's not overstating things to say that Gibson has been the key for Cleveland. Why? Because his outside shooting has opened up the floor against the Pistons' defense. In Games 1 and 2, when the non-shooting Eric Snow was playing, Detroit absolutely shut down LeBron James, loading up its defense and blocking all penetration. When Gibson really started to see action in Game 3, the series changed. Gibson nailed two three-pointers in that 88-82 victory, forcing the Pistons to stretch their defense out. Then on Tuesday, Gibson played out of his mind, proving that he's more than just a spot-up shooter. He attacked a Detroit D that was intent on closing out hard on him, and he made his way to the free-throw line 12 times without missing. He also drained four of seven shots in a brilliant 21-point effort. But the most impressive aspect of Gibson's game is his poise. He only played two years of college ball, and yet here he is, taking on his childhood idol -- Chauncey Blllups -- without fear. You can see the confidence in his eyes as he makes shots, takes defensive challenges and handles the ball. And perhaps most importantly, Gibson defends, too. The worry for Cleveland coming into this series was that Gibson wouldn't be able to handle the size of the Pistons' guards. However, he has done a great job of battling both Billups and Richard Hamilton in the post and negating any Detroit advantage. Now the series heads back to Auburn Hills, and the Pistons have to be worried. Billups had five more turnovers in Game 4, and even though he scored a team-high 23 points, he once again was out of sorts. This was the game Detroit really wanted, and its focus was there. But the Cavaliers are very good -- especially defensively -- and they're making things awfully tough on the Pistons. Game 5 is Thursday, and there will be plenty of tension at the Palace. And if Gibson keeps knocking down threes and opening up the floor for LeBron, Detroit could be in some trouble. Source Mr. Big Shot really is playing weird in Cleveland, i remembered he draw an unnecessary foul on Gooden when his pass got intercepted by Gooden. The commentator was saying "Why in the world did he do that for? There is still 15 secs over a minute!" |

Hopefully Spurs can win also...
. . . . but as usual i hate to listen to just "hope" and all this sh*t... come on guys, support your decision with facts and not just "they are so good" and whatever... What the Jazz lack is playoffs experience and this can be seen to be their ultimate weakness as seen in the 4th quarter of game 4. They were so overtaken by the deficit in points that they start to be so aggressive that they keep making unnecessary fouls... If they were to be compared to the Cavaliers now... The Cavs were in the same situation, trailing in the early 4th quarter and yet they manage to win. Its all because of the mentality of the players.. they take it cool and just slowly drain the points out of the other team. If only DW and Gooden play with more calm-ness and take control of the game as well as lift the spirit of the team, they might just be able to beat the Spurs... "Appropriate fear", i guess this is what Papovich would say if the Spurs were playing like the Jazz the other day. This post has been edited by -= Virgil =-: May 30 2007, 07:59 PM |

I hear u.... that is the reason I stopped replying at all to this thread cos it just most post looked like spam to me.... . . . . but as usual i hate to listen to just "hope" and all this sh*t... come on guys, support your decision with facts and not just "they are so good" and whatever... I agree that Jazz are too young, the fact that their 2 main player in Boozer and Deron Williams are not experience enough to play against TD and Parker just lost them the game.... against Rockets, no one could actually contain Boozer and Deron... they are just too fast for Rockets frontcourt and PGs to guard.... but against TD and Parker, is the complete different Ballgame... |

The Jazz have both young players and young experience in the playoffs. Boozer, 26 and Williams, 22, both of them still have years to go so the Utah Jazz future are already path with the 2 of them in mind.
However, both of them will not be enough to endure the onslaught after the Spurs gave them a huge lesson in the 4th quarter in game 4. The Spurs saw the on-growing aggression in the Jazz and they take control of it. The Jazz was trailing by just 1 point with plenty of time left but the Jazz start to feel threatened, their mental broke down, their thirst turn into hunger and that is why they feel. After gaining as close as a point gap, the fouls keep coming, Manu did the right thing to push the Jazz and gain the points from the FT line. At the same time, the mentality of the Jazz crumbles and it was fouls after fouls after fouls. When they realize it, the game was already over. Both DW and Boozer need extra help if they wish to bring the game back to the Salt Lake City, AK47 is starting a bit shaky but then he was doing alright in game 3 and pretty bad in game 4. His blocks are undeniably good and every player have fear of him but then he needs to be more offensive as well. Derek Fisher might just be the only person with the playoffs experience and can withhold the Spurs but he seems to be imbalance lately against the Spurs with his 6 fouls ejection in game 4. Harpring.. this season he is missing lotsa shots and he is just not the regular to look up to for the extra help.. but then things might just turn out different tomorrow.. NBA is something that is unpredictable anway. Just like the Cavs vs the Pistons in game 4. *sorry for the long essay* This post has been edited by -= Virgil =-: May 31 2007, 01:33 AM |
