Don't worry bro, just wait a little bit longer, it's holiday season the post office is quite busy now. The package from FutureShop uses registered post, need to be signed.

do you have a LCD or plasma of Rear projection tv at the back of the LCD ? if the answer is no, it will be best to fix the screen on the wall n install a curtain infront the the fixed screen. when are not using the screen, you can cover it with the curtain.

Hi guys,

Newbie here, with a rm9k budget, any suggestion for an entry level home theater? The budget includes the optoma hd65 projector!

So far i know about the Yamaha 663 AV receiver and the Wharfedale Dimanond and Tannoy Mercury F1 Custom. Are they good?

Any suggestion?

Optoma HD65 + normal screen = RM4k
Yamaha 663 = RM2k
HTIB = RM2k

rest for cables >.<

btw, are you placing your HD65 on ceiling or on table? if on ceiling, the HDMI cable are gona cost you a bomb as you might need around 10m, which is like for my case >.<

i get quoted at 1 of the hifi shop at gardens, onkyo 506 + jamo/SMB HTIB = RM4.5k

so after minus out the onkyo 506, the jamo/SMB HTIB should cost less than RM3k i think

PS: the jamo HTIB are those cube type speakers

speaker package the whafy diamond should fall in the range, i guess all entry should be possible, so did you like the sound of the wharfy? desa should give u quite a few choices, a&l is ok too.
But you wont get a sub thou. AE did come up with package free sub at 3999 i think .. not sure if it's still avail. 9K should be ok but u need to upgrade cables later on .. cables alone will cost another K+

Added on December 20, 2008, 12:21 pmif it's the jamo .. i think better off buying wharfy diamond+SW150 .. just my opinion.

Added on December 20, 2008, 12:21 pmI mean the jamo small speakers .. i think PSB also have them at way cheaper price.
