You can just refer the speed test result of SX8200 Pro
As the S40G RGB is the exact same SSD as the SX8200 Pro except the RGB add-on

Moving from mechanical drive(wd blue 2012) to NVMe is life changing experience. Pc Startup to windows desktop has gone from 1 minutes to 10 seconds. STEAM Installations are fast as well.

Hey guys=)

My desktop ssd 80gb is fully used up, and all my file save to server one. I always use solidwork, and some other engineering program, and i feel my pc quite lag ,when open file.

Now i am considering to upgrade that 80gb ssd to 500gb nvme m2, will it bring a lot of difference?

Or actually upgrading it to nvme 500gb won't bring much difference, since i always save file into server?

Please suggest=)

Monitor the CPU and Disk Usage when opening the file, then you know what is holding back.
Fully occupying SSD is a bad idea, it kills SSD faster as the controller isn't able to do garbage collection effectively.

Try to get 1tb at least, if you have remove files, copy and paste such as autodesk Revit have many backup files.
Try to get 1tb NVMe good for you, extra 500gb free storage to run more faster for open files and data else.
Anyway Adata SX8200 pro is very good price , I think you can afford one

Currently using i5-8500 8gb ram

Would you mind to teach how can i monitor the CPU and Disk usage?

So i am thinking to upgrade ssd to 500gb, afraid SSD suddenly died.

Solid work can work with 8gb of ram?
I think the minimum was 16gb more sufficient.

I still can run it , i will upgrade to 16gb ram first.

By the way, is it a must to use same model, same cl of ram to pair it with my 1st ram?
