hello everyone, I am a newbie driver and just activated my GC account today.

I read through all the posts from last years (v2) and I must say I have learned a lot from all the sifu. Seriously this thread is much more informative than the crapcar tutorials/blogs etc.

u doing okey.
dont compare with him.
8x jobs vs 120 jobs dude. check that.
he got alots short trips.

as long u calculated ur petrol and time , and if thats good enuff why not?
*
what really amazed me is how he was able to maintain >85%AR & <10%CR with average rm4.5 per trip. He really knows how to hunt for those short trips.

Most of my pickup at high rise buildings took at least 5 mins waiting time but I never msg them that 5min is the max waiting time. So today I decided to msg one of them about the max waiting time policy because she was not there yet upon arrival. I can feel that she was not happy when she boarded my car. Guess what? My rating dropped from 4.96 to 4.92. vmad.gif ranting.gif

Been a grab driver for 3 weeks and I was able to maintain my rating in range of 4.94-4.97 in every rating update. So far I am doing my best to provide a nice service to the rider but these frakers really take it for granted. Fraking bitch! Next time I will just cancel you when i see you walking toward me. I am not your fraking private driver!

This new incentive structure is secretly increase the treshold for ar/cr for hourly guarantee programs. Now the law of large number no longer works.

I have a question for the new structures.

Monday: AR>85%, CR<10%, Entitled for Incentives.
Tuesday: AR>85%, CR<10%, Entitled for Incentives.
Wednesday: AR<85%, CR>10%, Not Entitled for Incentives. 25trips completed.
Thursday: AR<85%, CR>10%, Not Entitled for Incentives. 25trips completed.

If Wed and Thu i am not entitled for the incentives, will i get the Flexi incentive also? or i am just getting the incentive that the programme that i choose that week?
*
QUOTE
As a Grabber, you can only be in one (1) programme and one (1) incentive type at a time and only receive the incentives in the selected programme and incentive type.

No I dont think so. It clearly stated that you are either opt in hourly guarantee or flexi programs every weeks.

tanks2040 is correct. incentive/flexi is calculated daily now (if you OPT IN). no longer weekly.

For those on the Hourly Guarantees incentive type, your AR/CR/DR are now refreshed daily, this will give you much more flexibility. You no longer have to worry about losing your incentives for the week when the unexpected happens (eg. feeling a little under the weather or the car breaks down) and you can’t work. To view your daily AR/CR/DR, you have to go the incentive section of the driver app (available from 9 October onwards).
*
QUOTE
However, fret not, you will have the option to change programmes and incentive types on a weekly basis based on your preferred driving schedules.

New structure good or bad for drivers?
*
My current commission is 25% and I am doing flexi.

So it is good for me but I think it is bad for Ambassador. For example, if you accept less than 20 jobs per day and cancel 2 or more jobs, then your CR is 2/19 = 10.5%.

Grab is slowly killing the competitor... lol

If Grab would to have this feature called Cancellation fee , that would be the best ...

Quote from Grab CS, " If any bookings cancelled by passenger without notification being reported by driver to Grab CS, that passenger app will be temporarily suspended..."
*
Dont u guys think grab is in violation of anti trust act? Using unfair practice to kill the competitor is a big no no in US. But then i think, well, this is bolehland.

I can tell u incentive is completely fucuk up if calculated daily

AR - Still within driver control

CR - How to control this? Customer no show can control? Mapren/prince/princess ask u wait 20min also need to endure the shit.

Driving as a full timer or part timer will definitely suffer for daily AR/CR calculation. One bad customer at night time will screw up all your hardwork since morning.
*
That is why i said in my previous post, if u accept less than 20jobs per day, u can cancel only 1 jobs. Math is no longer in driver's favor despite they maintain the ar/cr requirement.

Riders will take their time as long as they want because they know you will wait no matter how late they are.

The Machine Learning team at Grab provides an opportunity to apply supervised as well as unsupervised learning on large scale data. We build algorithms and models to match passenger and driver, we predict time of arrival, we predict when a driver will churn (i.e. stop driving for Grab) etc. We explore models ranging from simple linear ones to ensembles to deep learning. If you enjoy predictions and algorithms, let's have a chat!

Just look at their recruitment ads. Their focus is never maximized the rider's fee collection but focus on how to screw drivers to the max. ranting.gif

So I guess drivers are nothing but expendable assets to them.

ask to fill into form:
Do you have an account with any competitors below?*

wat's the point of getting 2nd phone?  feels invasion of privacy though

once found, permanently in grab associates 25% plan just mind u, no play play liao else crying

i guess those who provide account info, grab just log in to check

those didn't provide any, grab would search through your phone till battery drain kaw kaw...

getting 2nd phone to avoid this? last time may success, but in future no guarantee bcoz don't forget a third party stakeholder here who holds all info - the SPAD , got drive list from every e-hailing company, as every company must apply e-driver card for their registered drivers
*
2nd phone can never work in long run because our personal info can be bought easily, or else how those telemarketers/property agents/whatsoever get your hp number?

Someone will eventually sell you out for a right price in malaysia.

Grab have your imei number which is, they can spying your hp. They would know if u are using your uber driver apps
*
They dont need your imei to spy on you because the same grab driver app can also be used to monitor the memory space of your phone looking for signature of competitors' app and maybe collect some other info about you for consumer behaviour analysis.

I am a flexi driver, so far my gross fare to net incentive ratio is:-

1st week: 784:142 => 1:0.18
2nd week: 543:203 => 1:0.37
3rd week: 721:300 => 1:0.41

What ratio you guys usually get for ambassador?

Fare 30-40%, Incentive 60-70%.
Anyway, it doesn't matter actually. Incentive drivers now chasing trips. As many trips as you can get during effective hour. You will understand more later on.
I heard some full timer all out drivers able to rack up above 300 trips per week.

your hunting skill is beyond imagination, I dont want to compare with you rclxs0.gif

You must have many good sweet spots or tricks for hunting, or else how could you possibly consistently get so many short trips without killing your AR? I guess this is the difference between noob and sifu.

How about others? I am particularly interested in goodboy's ratio. I want to use your ratio as benchmark. biggrin.gif
