Now u see the impact? 3 job cancellation would require another 27 jobs to maintain CR below 10%. That 3 is out of your control, which is why i criticize crap rider quality.
Bangla and Indon are not really well educated and tech savvy, so most of the time they will rely on their current location but not shop name or street name, i see funny funny place sure will call them up.

Did u attend the teh tarik yesterday night?
*
no, working 💲🚕
can already tell what the main topic of the teh tarik convo would be la....

Crazy, at bangsar village also can get job at UM, pick up distance close to 8km.

Slowly grab becoming Uber already sweat.gif
*
If you're at bukit pantai, depending where you are, you can get pinged to UM 10-12th college also, as it is right next it as the bird fly...however need to drive up to 4km (kerinchi link) to reach also....

Received this during evening MP. Straight away ignored...

QUOTE(willemng @ Oct 7 2017, 07:12 AM)
I will take this if i were you.  Rm14 for 6 seater not that far compare with grabcar. Dont lure by incentive and ignore short distance high fare.

Looks like you are so choosy like goodboy92 but knowing how to earn an income whistling.gif
*
Pickup distance 7km le....
I noticed this week also the average pickup distance now more far...mostly >1km, last time always very near. Yesterday during MP a few jobs pickup was 4km, ignored, one accepted because didn't know so far beforehand, text the rider inform too far, lucky he was OK to cancel.

Now riders also know drivers hard to get during peak hour, some appreciate also. Two of them tip me $3 for for a $7 job biggrin.gif.
A few others also thanked me/say "sorry you had to endure the jam" after I drop them off.

Ofc got the usual idiot riders also screwing with people during MP hours....one of them pickup Royale Chulan near KLCC, drop off SOGO (fare $6)...called to say nearby, he said OK wait for you...reached there...no show...called again he said "Oh..I book Royale Chulan CURVE in Damansara!!"....

Fvker...use your common sense la...Damansara to KL only $6???? lucky he cancelled quickly.
Another woman, also KL city center, lucky I called her first before going, she claimed she didn't book at all. Lucky she cancelled quickly too.

Nowadays in the middle of KL pickup is around 3km+ , that's not normal....
Is it just me?
*
Depends on enough driver or not....also your luck...yesterday 12pm something I was dropping of at pavillion...immediately another ping there. but if unlucky can be pinged to go Times Sq also... bangwall.gif

I suspect some drivers using modded app, bao all the short trips/near pickup....I see these people openly advertising on Facebook group...wonder why no one report/forward to Grab? Should I bother to screenshot these ads and report? who to report also (Im not confident with support@grab.com.my).

This have to work both ways, so confirm Grab inside job is involved, else so easy to hack meh...
You can also request a trip from KLIA/klia2 or genting, just provide the details and there is this group of ppl will arrange one for you, the trip will be in your app....doesn't need inside job meh for this...

Modded app usually once caught perma banned, a fellow driver share to me he invested thousands for the phone device and modded app to avoid detection, long term is good la....not for part timers like me...
P/s: was told from Grab la....so not sure is it true or.not, but I believe inside job is required for these kind of funny stuffs...u know la Malaysia apa pun boleh ....lol
*
these modded apps work by switching your jobs with those using the modded apps... hence you can be already accepted ping.. suddenly your app show job different ping...kena sabo
hence the drivers SHOULD be banned... they are affecting honest drivers. imagine if daily refresh ur AR go down at 11 pm because of this.... sure vomit blood.

When that area is on super red, job ping will be gila abit.

1. near or far distance pickup point will come in.

2. current job not yet start or just start, new job is comming in.

Its Funny.

When in super red area, i might move to more green area.

Today for the 1st time ever I used rider app. Totally ruined the driver day. Booked for my sister, pickup at taman samudera flat nearby batu caves and drop at masjid usamah wangsa maju.
I put the note there, blok 05, behind banjaria court.
*
This is my experience with savvy commuters who put USEFUL notes:

Savvy riders (commuters who take Grab all the time) put detailed note eg :
"They are two entrance, use the back entrance not the front entrance for the condo, if you coming from XX shopping mall direction turn left after you see CIMB bank on your left at the traffic light etc"...
Your note is not useful since it is just referencing another building name which the driver would not be familiar with. Imagine yourself as the driver la ... how you would like to the rider to give you directions?

Probably your biggest mistake was booking for third party when YOU yourself not familiar with the area... Flats are tricky...in Grab also sometimes got a few names for the same place. Especially in KV area... you are in Penang right? not sure how the grab app is like there. Like above poster said, best is key in a local shop/landmark, which would be impossible for you since you don't know the place.

PS: no matter how good your note is...dont count on drivers understanding or following it. The rider who put such a detailed note told me that most of the time the drivers still sesat as they don't bother to read the note/tak faham. Thats why better to call if you think driver is sesat already.

Now, if only savvy riders with good understanding of maps, can send location based on coordinates instead. That would be immensely helpful. I know it's possible; I've played Ingress (same company that made Pokémon Go), and that game requires a good grasp of maps and navigation.
*
Come on, most have trouble already keying correct location....even if they did, would most drivers know how to follow location from coordinates? how to key in coordinates on Waze? I bet most riders and drivers wouldnt know.

The question now, i'm as the rider what did i do wrong. I keyed in the name of the building correctly, but the blue pointer didnt pin on the correct location. Did my note wasnt sufficient enough?
Only later when i used the google maps i was able to recognised the building from the 3D map picture. When using the app, i couldnt recognise the street names.

So where did i do wrong? What else that ive been missing. I already told my sister to wait below at flat stair below, dont let driver wait for u. And yes, she waited for 45 minit, bayang2 driver hapa pun tarak.
*
I tried keying in Flat Samudera...ends up in a bus stop next to highway...

Key in "FLAT TAMAN SAMUDRA"....out comes up a list of the block number with correct location.
So I guess driver has a right to be angry that you keyed in wrong location. live and learn.

Grab rider app is very fussy...if in PJ there are alot of address with SS, eg SS20/24...you MUST have a SPACE between the SS and the number, or the address will not be found in the app..so SS 20/24. Found this out after an uncle complained he couldnt key in the address...

p/s: Banjaria Court itself is a tricky place to navigate to. Need to turn below under a flyover. If you are not familiar, you will instead turn left earlier and get lost.
*
Crazy place, terrible road access for non local driver...no wonder she lost. If coming from MRR2 going towards Batu Caves direction, not sure how to turn our from MRR2...I just draw the red arrow but seems like you have to cross a solid line to make a sharp 90 degree left turn??? Else maybe exit further away, exit at Jalan Taman Samudra.

If coming from MRR2 going towards UIA direction.....I guess the blue arrow is the correct way to u-turn???? Now I want to go see see investigate...biggrin.gif

Another place like this is the Cheras business center (Jln Cheras intersection with MRR2)....crazy area wrong or miss turn can end up 4km u-turn with jam....

Why will wrong in cheras business centre? If yout from roundabout, Turn from traffic light to the right below mrr2.
If you from pandan, follow Waze go down and make U turn, then turn from traffic light to right.
Waze show wrong?
*
I just made this mistake last night, want to go to Tesco, correct direction is the blue arrow....hard to see at night....very easy to take a left turn TOO left that will exit to Mrr2....(the red arrow)...then have to make one big round thru Taman Connaught to come back to Jln Cheras (6km according to Google maps)....told the rider I accidentally entered MRR2....she understand and cancelled.

Another tricky intersection....few times see cars almost get accident....if coming from Jln Dang Wangi (Sogo) direction is relatively OK, can still follow sign....most problem is when those coming from Sogo in the left lane have to cut all the way to the right to enter Jln Kuching (Utara) if want to go Kepong/MontKiara. Those busses dont care, you will have to watch out for them.

Problem is coming from Jln Raja Laut direction (White Arrow)...if you not sure which exit is which direction (should I take the first left or the second left to go south/north)???? First timers/non locals sure confused as hell if just following Waze. Especially at night, heavy traffic.

Notice that there is no sign at the ENTRANCE itself (HAD KETINGGIAN sign) to indicate which direction the entrance is for....

Another super confusing place the interchange between KL sentral and muzeum.
if not mistaken got 4 - 5 lanes at almost same distance. It is even complicated show in waze so I definitely will ask the rider which lane is correct.
If the rider don't know then I just get bless from god jor.
*
HAhahaha...that place is my port...I know almost all the buildings and which road exit to take liao...first ten times....confirm sesat....even after 3 months still got learnt a few tricks. Tip: if you get ALOFT hotel...make sure the waze pointing to correct place...pickup is just before the NU sentral SUshiTei/Starbucks entrance. DONT go down to Jln Tun Sambanthan...

PS: I think we should post more pic/maps/tips about tricky intersections/shortcuts especially thru KL city center....useful for thread info
