hahaha, actually i saw a 838 pro silicon case. I thought maybe zinc will have it too. Both also having sliding keyboard. Anyway got myself a capdase leather case. Saw the krusell, but damn expensive. Can buy 2 capdase..btw wat r u using to protect ur zinc?

yeah, saw ur zinc pics with the clear skin. Very nice. Last week I went & ask for the clear skin @ lowyat Gadget Skin, it cost about rm 79 to skin the zinc including the keyboard. Its rather costly but urs cost rm 50 ar..quite reasonable. I also went to sg.wang n ask for the clear skin, lagi expensive. About rm 90. Gila man.. thats y in da end got myself a capdase case from brilliant at rm 75....

well 2 tell u the truth ... last time i waited for almost 2 weeks to skinned my zinc ... stock always out ... almost everyday sms the fella over there ... so got some discount ler coz late on the delivery ... neway the old fella not there anymore mayb got sacked dunno

i did notice the change of gadget skin booth, change to "wrap on it" if im not mistaken. Mayb dats why different management comes different sets of new pricing for the skin services. But rm 79 really not worth lor, of cos it depends on preferences of the person who wanna do it lor.

So can i bring my zinc to the service centre located on da 9th floor at Times Square for WM6 upgrade? Any additional charges to the upgrades? Do I need to bring my proof of purchase & warranty card along with me?

Bring your original receipt / Photostat receipt with a clear view on the companies stamp (the company that sell you the PDA).

It is free upgrade if you're still under the warranty period (well all Zinc's are still under warranty period, cause it was first released in Feb )

better do it urself ... not that hard ... full charge it, sync it wz activesync 4.5, click the ROM exe and follow instructions ... wait for about 10 to 15 min ... all done ....

Hello guys, I've just got myself a Zinc on the eve or Merdeka. I got it at PDA Expert in Midvalley. I just love this gadget so much that I've decided to get another set for my wife on Merdeka (LOL). We're both now using the Zinc and I must say that we're very satisfied with it.

I'm actually new with this whole mobile computing culture and I am still getting used to it. My work nowadays rely heavily on the internet so I've decided to subscibe to Celcom's 3G unlimited service a few months back. I was on a N70 before and it was quite a hassle having to read my mails on a very small screen. Now, with the Zinc, the screen is much bigger and the QWERTY keyboard is a Godsend for me. I can reply mails to my boss easily and better yet, I can do it as I'm commuting to work.

Well anyway, I just want to say hi to all and hope that I can make new friends here. BTW, can I surf onto this site on my Zinc? Will I be able to reply and post a comment from my Zinc onto this site?

Sorry for disturbing... Just to know how is battery life span? My one just bought for 2 days but battery life are so terrible..
no phone call but just let email sync every 15 minute and my battery life span are only from 9am till 3pm only. No other program running but the connection on 3G are always on. How about you?

i have a question that need all you sifu to help out.

i realize that the light on my keyboeard goes off very fast, is there a way to adjust it so it could stay light up longer?

does zinc have the screen lock?

how and what should i do to have the power or battery strength and memory balance display on the screen? cos mine doesnt display this.

well i think that is the best zinc can do wz the 15 min sync ... AFAIK if use heavily the batt only lasted for 3-4 hrs only ... use wifi or bluetooh ehmmm

i dunno bout how to make it last longer ... as 4 me i juz press the spacebar

yup every ppc from WM5 have screen lock ... but if dont have juz install spb shell

well install a today plugin like resco plugin etc ...

Well don't you know that 3G chip are awfully thirsty for power?

Even the WIFI and Bluetooth chip is also draining power, albeit of course, the Bluetooth consume far less power compared to the other two.

No phone in the world (at least currently) can last long when running 3G non-stop, our battery capability and technology has not evolved yet to support those power consuming chips for long hours.

I switch my network to GSM band whenever I'm not using 3G. Saves me a whole lot of juice. Sometimes can last 2 days even.

Just upgraded my ROM to WM6. There is a slight problem with it, I'm connected to the internet using my WIFI. Surfing was nice & even able to use Skype to call my fren. But I can't seem to sign-in the Windows Live Messenger. It says "There's a connectivity problem. Make sure you're in an area with good phone reception and try again". Ok if im out of my wifi range, then I should not be able to surf the internet rite? Is there any establishment before using the Windows Live Messenger..pls enlighten me..
