oh..modded HTC home screen ar..where can I download da plugin?

yeah, juz found da main cause of my problem. Its due to the chinese font patch (3rd party software) which I install in the zinc.

I saw a thread saying dat windows live messenger is sensitive to chinese font softwares which can corrupt it during connectivity. So i uninstall da chinese font software. Now ok liao..

One more thing, where can I adjust the headset volume. I use the zinc's headset, the headset speaker quite low lor..kenot hear...

Thx for da help man...

hi guys ..

just wanna share with you guys that you must have official purchase receipt for the warranty to be effective for 12 months otherwise the warranty period would based on the manufacturing date only.

so please remember to demand for an official receipt.

regards,

sam

The headset does have a level adjuster (volume slider) near the o2 dongle, maybe you forgot to adjust that higher?

No no no... I didn't mean that the Palm devices have this problem. I meant to say that we still dunno how to tweak the windows mobile to increase its volume.

the only device we ever managed to was only the PalmOS devices.

Install mapking or garmin software on zinc. As for me, I am using mapking.
Download maps at www.malsingmaps.com ... use mapking or garmin maps.
Enable ur bluetooth in zinc & on ur holux (make sure the blue led is blinking)
Search bluetooth device on zinc & sync wz holux
After discovering holux, open ur mapking
Click on map on the menu at tools, Open Map.. choose ur map
Click on GPS and let zinc & holux sync ... when sync a voice will come out saying "GPS is now fuctioning"
Choose ur destination ... tap on the top of mapking.

That really depends on whether u wanna use Garmin, Mapking or Imap. Personally, I would recommend Imap as their POI's and roads are more updated than Mapking. But in terms of detail, those fellas from Malsingmap win hands down.

if ur a beginner, it's better if u go with Mapking or Imap. No need to do so many steps like in Garmin.

Dear sir,

Sorry for disturbing... Just to know how is battery life span? My one just bought for 2 days but battery life are so terrible..
no phone call but just let email sync every 15 minute and my battery life span are only from 9am till 3pm only. No other program running but the connection on 3G are always on. How about you?

Thanks and Best Regards: ali002

Hurmm..i think when the 3G connection is always on withour Zinc, it drains the battery a bit. Like your good self, my 3G connection is always on and my normal b.k.m is to have have it charged at the office (i know it's bad but I always leave my Zinc connected to the charger until after office hour).

I did not do any real observation with my battery consumption rate but from my previous experience with my N70, i know for sure that our batteries are working extra hard whilst connected to the 3G network. The one thing that I'm sure is that the battery that comes with our set needs at least 3 to 4 times of charging cycle before it will reach it's optimum capacity.

For the sake of comparison, i am going to fully charge my set before going to the office and not charge it at all tomorrow. I'll post back the consumption rate tomorrow night and maybe we can compare...

by the way, there's a firmware upgrade on O2's website. Is WWE_RM3070712 a new version and are you guys running your Zinc's on it??

i am staying quite far away from times square, so if it is easy, i was thinking of doing it myself .. what do you guys think?

i am wondering whether could zinc work with the business card scanner software .. like asus p525 .. we capture a picture of the name card and it would translate them into our contact list. Do you think zinc could do this?
