Anyone knows if I can add in the mobility pack which gives a webe mobile plan for RM49 later on or must it be added at time of UniFi application?

QUOTE(soonwai @ Nov 18 2017, 07:03 PM) Where did you apply? I did mine via 100 yesterday 9:51am, so far nothing yet. At least 2 who applied at TMPoint already got it, arrsoo and berserker. When selecting the option during the call to 100, you selected the one for products, promotions and subscription something like that? Did they reverify with you the SMS and when you received it?I was chatting to the 100 CS, she said should be done in less than 7 days. She said a lot of people doing the upgrade. My previous upgrade performed over phone, VIP10 to Adv30, took 3 business days. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Nov 18 2017, 08:30 PM) I selected 4 (Promotions). I think it was 4. No, they didn't ask me anything about the SMS, but she checked something before going ahead with the registration. I guess each account probably already has an eligibility flag. Gave them a call earlier but that department is closed, weekends only 8.00am until 5.30pm. Will try tomorrow, hopefully can get it.Will the BTU be changed or the old one can still support until 100mbps? |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Nov 18 2017, 09:04 PM) She mentioned that their system will detect if I'm on old equipment and if so, will be changed at no charge. She only said the words BTU & router without specifying any criteria for a change. I'm betting that the old BTU with 100mbit ports will be changed to a gigabit one. I guess will get a new router too. I'm, as far as TM records are concerned, still on the original DIR-615 that I got with my VIP5. Perhaps your upgrade pending due to waiting for equipment change? The old black Huawei HG850a will work with 100mbps but won't get max speeds. It will be slightly limited to a max of approx 95-97mbps due to 100mbit ethernet port limit and TCP overheads. Good luck on the upgrade, are you on TQ Surprise 50 at the moment? To the others who already got upgraded to 100mbps, are you equipments pretty new that has a gigabit port? Yes I’m currently on the thank you surprise 50mbps. |

So for those who did not receive the SMS, how do we start the conversation/request? Say we want to add RM10 to upgrade the speed? I don’t think there’s a name for this promo/plan?

QUOTE(soonwai @ Nov 19 2017, 12:27 AM) I just pretended I got the SMS. Just called, after they put me on hold for a while they said I am entitled for this offer. I guess the SMS are sent in batches, but like what was mentioned, the accounts probably already has a flag or they check for certain criteria to determine eligibility.I think I went something like "Hai, says nak tanya tentang upgrade RM10, boleh tak buat sekarang ataupun kena pergi ke TMPoint?" and went from there. She didn't asked me if I received the SMS. By the way, when he was reading the T&C, he mentioned that a technician will come over to install the new modem as he said my current modem only supports 50mbps and lower. So I believe those that have not been upgraded are pending for equipment change. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Nov 19 2017, 03:02 PM) The existing pack remains. So now I have both Ruby + Jumbo. Yup I changed mine from Aneka to Ruby as well, never thought of it but the CS asked me if I would like to change.I think can swap also. Yesterday's post there was someone who did the upgrade and got Jumbo and also, at the same, changed his Aneka to Ruby. |

Since now contract renewed, I can request for new HyppTV STB right, the one that runs on Android? I’m still having the old one ever since UniFi launched and that unit is really laggy. It’s not faulty yet though, so not sure if TM will be willing to replace it?

Once this upgrade is done, I guess I’ll cancel off Astro since it’s also too pricey and not fully utilised, then just live with HyppTV.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 20 2017, 09:24 AM) Cannot terminate HyppTV. Have not clarified but shouldn’t be too big of a deal if I’ll be using the HyppTV.Have you clarified of second year HyppTV? Or are you willing to pay additional RM 60 from second year onward? But logically speaking: 100mbps (RM299) + Ruby (RM30) + Jumbo (RM60) - RM200 = RM189 The discount of RM200 is perpetual so I don’t see what’s the issue here? They are still charging the RM60 for Jumbo every month, just the RM200 discount is making the total monthly fee to be RM189. Which is why they do not allow to cancel the Jumbo or STD20, otherwise the RM200 discount will be taken away. Unless I’m understanding things differently here.. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 20 2017, 10:30 AM) Yes, that's why I wanna see the screenshot of perpetual discount of RM 200. Since the T&C was read out during the call and the call was recorded, we should be pretty safe.Mine is not yet upgraded, so nothing is reflected in my UniFi account. Anyway, I called CS and she ensures I will continue having RM 200 discount so long I don't terminate my Jumbo and STD 20 which I won't. QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 20 2017, 10:51 AM) Most likely have to wait for technician to call to change the equipment. |

I never thought of it in such complicated way. I only made sure I asked a very direct question, “Will the monthly charge still be RM189 after the 2 years contract ended?” and the CS I spoke through on the phone said yes as long as Jumbo pack or STD20 is not removed/cancelled.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 20 2017, 01:35 PM) Oh cool. I still haven't received my upgrade, already requested yesterday. Should be won’t activate new plan until technician replaces the equipment. So hopefully technician will call soon.I asked the same today too, so no issue I guess. Up to 7 working days, the CS I spoke to, two of them also mentioned 7 working days. I don't think they are daring enough to commit 24 hours unless untrained staffs, gonna bring trouble to TM if it is not upgraded within 24 hours... Mine already 24 hours, still nothing. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Nov 20 2017, 02:24 PM) Same here, waiting for BTU replacement. No-one call me yet. Mine is the old Huawei HG850a with 100mbit ports. Hope the new models are as reliable. This Huawei not a single problem since VIP5. Can’t agree more, I only had one replacement since the lunch of UniFi, that’s about 7 years.I wonder will we get the Huawei or Alcatel Lucent? |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Nov 23 2017, 07:43 PM) Finally some movement. I applied for RM10 50-100 last Friday morning via 100. I wonder if technician will still call? I read cases where such SMS was sent but end up technician did not come and reschedule.Received SMS earlier today. Installation date next Monday because I require equipment change. ![]() ![]() |
