Okay, I just gone back from TM Point (Seremban FYI)
-Bonanza Campaign > for new user
-I'm an existing VIP10 (RM149) *no longer in contract* and I can't migrate to 30mbps (RM139)
-add RM10/month (Bonanza Plus) will get 30mbps (RM159) but there's a catch (prices will revert back after 2 years, which means full price after that) That's what she told if I wanted 30mbps. But, I did not shown her the SMS I got earlier about RM10/month. This is truly contradict with what I'd learn through Live Chat/100 (RM159 will stay the same even after 2 years) Maybe only those got the SMS will get same price after two years while those don't will revert back after 2 years? I don't pry further since I'm not interested in getting RM159 anyway.

So, I wanted to terminate my current plan and take Bonanza RM139 instead. Because I prefer Ruby Pack > Jumbo Pack. And I was shown "no port available for my area" This is pretty stupid, honestly, isn't what I'd been using is a port itself? Can't I just continue using my port?

What a turn off, no mood to ask any other question after that. Was tell to walk-in again to check if there's new port later and that's the only way to check. I have till the end of this year to check because Bonanza Campaign ends on 31st December 2017.

That's all for now, guess I'll walk-in again next week to try my luck. Going to ask further next time.

you can argue with them, because i was from vip10 (without contract) and now im on bonanza 30, didn't need to terminate account.
hmm.gif tm is smart in covering this area in case of future dispute?
*
Will do. You do that at TM Point?

Currently I am paying RM149 for 10MB download, HyppTV+Ruby Pack, 600 mins free call.

If I change to Unifi Advance RM139, the TM told me need to terminate and reapply. My question is, is this RM139 only applicable for first 24 months, and on 25th, I need to pay RM199 original price?

When I come to 25th Month, possible I terminate and reapply for other plan again?
*
I'm on RM149, does not want to upgrade RM10 and wanted to get RM139 but was rejected yesterday at TM point. Said no port.
One huge problem with TM is they hate it when you want to downgrade to a lower price.
If you can do it, do inform me.

From what i was told, the jumbo pack is there as long as you stick to there forever unless u change the content of the bonanza offer?
*
That's just a speculation from mine since it was told "worth RM720" as Jumbo Pack (RM60) x12 = 1 year. So what's going to happen after RM720? From what I heard here, they said "price remains the same as long as Jumbo Pack and STD20 in tact even after 2 years"
Why would they said that if Rm10/month equals everything in the upgraded pack? That's the fishy part. Let's say ppl with RM189. They pay RM10+ for this this and enjoyed the Jumbo Pack "free" offer for RM720 only. After that in order to "maintain" RM189, they need to keep the Jumbo Pack subscribed which means RM60/month = RM249 next year onward. And you cannot terminate because of 2 years contract or paid penalty fees.

At least that's what I'm afraid of. But, of course it's just my speculation. There's no proof in it. Take it with a grain of salt.

And, going to call 100 now.

Okay, called 100 to ask for RM139 yet again. CS said no port available. Asked if I could use my current port, but cannot since need to terminate 1st. Also, cannot ensure my port will be still be available after terminate as some ppl might be on the waiting list.

Living in Seremban is tough man. Well, at least I could call 100 to check the port. Unlike what I was told yesterday at TM Point, walk-in only WTF

Maybe I'll give 100 a call every single day.

yes, you still have to go to TM point to terminate your current package/ account once installation for new account is done
*
This can check ports also apparently
https://unifi.com.my/unifi-en/ijoin/check-coverage.page

It does shown no ports for me but few houses away can register. Doubt the agent will be able to do anything at this point...

This is one of the things to consider about what to do after the 2 year contract. Its easy to say terminate and get a better package, but they can just say there is no ports and you get stuck. Also in 2 years time, it is likely that most areas will have more subscribers and thus most ports will be taken.

Given how users are willing to terminate and re-apply when promos such as the recent Boananza packages came out, I will not be surprised if TM puts in a condition that you have to wait for a period of say 1 month before re-applying. Just to prevent users from terminating. I think that is one of the reasons why they pulled back Streamyx boananza and the RM99 Lite packages. Because they realised that users were willing to terminate their higher priced packages to get the lower prices. Their

But lots could happen in the 2 years. Maybe more users will be on mobile data. Maybe TM will just keep giving RM10 promos so users won't have to terminate.
*
It's going to be a gamble. One of the reason I pick 139 instead of 159 because I prefer Ruby pack > Jumbo. Apparently, my current plan DO NOT HAVE any HyppTV pack except free. That's one reason and save RM20/month.

i thought you currently using unifi also ohmy.gif
if i not mistake, agent able to apply a new account if your current address already using unifi/ secure a port
*
Yes, am using now but 100 say's at least 2 ports is available if you wanted to terminate and re-apply to ensure. Let's just say one is mine and another free port.

They can't assign a new port to you due all port are in used (inclusive yours too). New assignment can only been done on free port only. Even if you terminate your service, your port won't be available for the next 3 weeks, before it become free again. (This is due to some case where customer decide to reinstate their service after termination.)

If upgrade/downgrade, they can use back current port.

This is what the TM Point Manager told me.

Can i cancel the hypptv? I dont use the hypptv
*
RM139 should be included Hypptv. Prorated perhaps?

in a dilemma whether to take the RM10 upgrade or wait......

Same boat, fren. RM10/month I think till end of year, so am waiting for port. So far happy with VIP10. Not quite happy with the Rm10+ but pay less 10 get 30mbps, that's another story.

Did they ask for IC when doing new/upgrade Unifi? It's been so long I'd forgot.

So if my current plan is Unifi lite@rm129+ std20=rm149, I should cancel std20 first and then add the rm10 upgrade, so that I will pay rm139 instead of rm159 and still get 30mbps,jumbo pack and free call/std20?
*
This is something I never tried b4. Don't know if it's possible or not. Maybe I'll try asking next time.

And MyKad should be ready within 1 week. *sigh

I suggest you all go TMPoint yell and complain and ask their supervisor and manager to come out. I did the same at yoong shook lin tm point. they ask me to terminate the line which i think it is not fair at all. Why all new customer get good treatment and old customer get rubbish? same plan different price is call unfair pricing.
They even ask me go MCMC complain them until i yell and ask them to write black and white they refuse to upgrade then the manager came.
They are trying to upgrade for me now.
*
I'm thinking of doing that after I get my renewed IC next week if they stll won't let me upgrade. Currently paying RM149 for 10mbps, I wanted to get 30mbps but don't want to pay RM159, instead I wanted the RM139 package only.

Already complain to MCMC and wrote a long and frustated comment email to TM, so far no reply or anything.

I'm getting really angry at TM now ranting.gif
