You were lucky. Someone posted that if there are other people waiting for port, and if you cancel your plan to re-subscribe, you may not even get the service at all.

Which means, your area most likely no other people in waiting list.

From marketing point of view, the target of the promotion is to push up RM10 for every subscribers, which could translate to about +5% of revenue.

Assuming take up rate of 30% , that will generate a lot of revenue for TM.

Maybe I will pass this promotion, and wait for next promotion when TM launches 300mbps and 500mbps plan biggrin.gif

RM200 used to be the price for VIP10 (10mbps)

Then they offer Unifi 30mbps at RM200

Last year after Budget announcement, TM upgrade RM200 to 50mbps

Now, after 1 year, TM upgrade again RM200++ to 100mbps


So, in 1 or 2 years time, when the infrastructure is ready, TM will offer 300mbps at RM200++

It’s a matter of time before the STD20 will be omitted from this new rm10 package when TM realizes the mistake. Most likely it’s a programming error as the RM10 upgrade is meant for Jumbo pack + next higher speed upgrade.

P/s as TM gets more and more complaints from users highlighting the unfairness, they will definitely look into the error, and it will be rectified and streamlined across the board. If i remember correctly, some packages in the past years also had free calls but was later changed to free 1 year only

haiya, TM unifi please just learn from Maxis.

Just streamline all charges for all users. I am also a bit sore now have to pay RM199 for 50mbps/ std20.

hi guys,

Finally decided to take up the offer of upgrade RM10 from 50mbps to 100mbps.

However, I mistakenly told TM staff that my package was RM199 (50mbps free upgrade + residential free calls RM20).

TM staff photocopy IC and wrote there RM209 + Hyptv + Free calls.

However, when I went back home and checked my bills, my package is actually RM189...

So do I need to go back to TM point to tell them it should be RM199 , not RM209 as written in the photocopied IC + form??

Should be RM199. But the TM staff wrote on the paper RM209...

did you get the sms for the offer of upgrade RM10? They only offer this is to certain customers? How they select it, your guess is as good as mine.

Got the sms in November, but hesitated because my household members don't use more than 50mbps but decided to accept the offer only yesterday. Last minute decision hehe, but will clarify with TM whether i will be charged RM199 or RM209.... bangwall.gif

haih, just call TM 100, they say my charge should be RM199, not RM209...

they advice me to cancel the order at the place I did the order at TM point, and make a new order. It's either that or I need to deal with billing department few months from now for the new charges.

Hope this won't mess everything up sad.gif

has anyone cancel pending order /upgrade before? any advice of what I should do? Order still pending, installation date 4/1/18. still got time to cancel.

TM just gave me Archer C1200 yesterday and I updated the Firmware , WRONGLY bye.gif bye.gif to international version instead of Malaysia TM Unifi firmware. Everything still works, only the IPV6 settings all gone.

Is it possible to update the firmware back to Malaysia version ? cry.gif cry.gif

I tried to backup all the settings from default Malaysia firmware before updating to international firmware.

However, I was not able to restore back the settings from the restore option. Could it be that the setting backup from older firmware cannot be used for new firmware?

I disable NAT boost in Archer c1200. Just found out that my old laptop has only 100mbps LAN , not gigabyte. No difference in ethernet speed with it enabled/disabled.

CPU usage seems to hover around 40-50% after disabling NAT boost. When enabled, it was about 60-70%.

So far day 3 using Archer c1200. My review so far

The things I like
1. 5G wifi connection - significant boost to newer device
2. seems more stable to handle more clients
3. wifi signal is much stronger

The things i don't like
1. Extremely long boot up time - 3 mins !!!
2. Cannot view real-time CPU/ RAM usage
