An additional RM201.00 was paid to the customs for sales tax or whatever you call it. Yeah do upload it to the account, coz I'm pretty curious myself!

I got it rather cheap 2nd hand off ishibashi for about RM3.1k-3.2k inclusive of shipping (I'm not too sure myself on the exact price until I see the credit card statement!).

Besides the U-bar thing on the K7 and the K7 being a mahogany body, (not mentioning the pickups.. Coz pickups can be modded if we want to heheh)
Is there really a big difference between the K7 and any other 7-string ibanez? |

Other than that there's nothing else I can think about except for the abalone neck binding.
Pretty much most Ibanez Prestige 7 strings are pretty roXx0r! |

hmmm... also the K7 comes with one volume knob and a 3 way pickup selector as opposed to the RG7s which come with the typical 1 volume 1 tone and the 5-way selector...
Yeah, the abalone neck binding roxxors... fret markers on it glow in the dark too! |

Lolz! Speaking of that, neither did I! I always thought it was a 5 way pickup selector switch as well, until my friend played and told me it was 3 way."Huh you didn't know?! You had the guitar for three weeks weih!" Sigh, the delinquent I am... |

Cool...
valkyrie , if u wanna play like a B chord, u can't do that on the 7-string right? You can only play the single low B string right? unlike if it's in drop D, u can just like fret the low strings and make a power chord outta it.. if u get wat i mean..? or can you? Well...depends on what B chord you are referring to Mr Unloco.
If you wanna play a power chord, well no problems with that, but if u're referring to a B major or B minor, you could always play a normal barre chord with an added low B e 7 7 B 7 7 G 8 7 D 9 9 A 9 9 E 7 7 B 0 0 or a more feasible choice would be to the 1st and the 3rd, but with a higher octave 3rd. Instead of the standard B minor/B major chord like so: D 1 0 A 2 2 (B&Eb) (B&D) you could probably whack E 11 10 B 0 0 (B&Eb) (B&D) Though I've never tried it personally before playing a super low B major/minor chord before. Low C#minor still alright and easier too! Thanks Rossie for the tip on the inverted fifth, but to be honest, I don't really know what inverted means! Care to enlighten? LOL!! Hmm, actually what I meant was.. Like example, if it's in Drop D we could do something like this : (Example) e |-------| B |-------| G |-------| D |---2--| A |---2--| E |---2--| Right? But with a 7-string you can't do something like : (Example) e |-------| B |-------| G |-------| D |-------| A |---2--| E |---2--| B |---2--| Right? Or you actually can? Maybe its more possible after dropping the low E string to D ..? No? LOL the "tab" it looks unaligned Added on May 29, 2007, 7:49 pmCome to think of it, I think the e |-------| B |-------| G |-------| D |-------| A |---2--| E |---2--| B |---2--| is highly unlikely right? even if the low E is dropped to D .. Er why not? In your previous example on a 6 string. Looks like you're playing a regular E power chord in Drop D.
So Likewise, drop the 7th string to A...and you can play a regular B power chord then D 2 A 2 D 2 <-- E power chord A 2 E 2 A 2 <-- B power chord Actually you know what, I don't really understand the question at all! This post has been edited by valkyrie1232: May 29 2007, 07:52 PM |

i think what he meant was..
E- B- G- D- A- D- A- drop your E to D ..and your B to A ^ you can play your nu metal chord then -x -x -x -2 -2 -2 -2 this way..but your B will be your top string lar.. This post has been edited by gapnap: May 29 2007, 08:15 PM |
