7620 huh? that's like the ultimate workhorse 7 string ever...
and we're just keeping a low profile, that's all... beastmasta is probably busy looking for new guitars to buy... EQ is busy trying to break the 4 billion nps barrier... i'm wandering around Miri... ...and Val is probably piss drunk trying to smash his K7 and relive his rock star days... oh well... |

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Jul 3 2008, 05:47 PM) For the life of me, I can't find out what gauges it uses on teh intarwebs........ probably best for you to just buy a gauge that you like (and not so friggin hard to find!) and set up the guitar for that gauge once you bring it back... a set up is probably definitely required coz of all the climate difference etc...Oh well.... will ask the Guitar Center folks then. ...remember Mr Blacktrix, if got no pix, then it didn't happen! |

Ghoster, welcome to the Sanctuary... good to see another Ibanez 7-stringer in here! DT's dark eternal night probably the worst song from em, but the riffing is just soo damn cool ahehehe Hmmm... I'm surprised no one has mentioned it... (EQ, where art thou?!!?!?!) ... but 7-string songs... OUTWORLD FTW!!! Eh, now Gaps got 7-string already, item sold, Mods please close thread mou... |

QUOTE(ghoster @ Nov 11 2008, 11:16 AM) i didnt say i didnt want it, but i never use blaze, so i dont really know how it sound like ahehehe. JS Music carries (or carried... at least) X2N7... got both my pups there. I've never tried the X2N, so I don't know how it differs from the X2N7, sorry...i tend to buy X2N just because i own one, and im satisfied with it The X2N7 is d@mn high output (like the X2N I guess) and has got this boom-boom low end which is killer on the low B. The highs can get a bit ice-picky if you're not careful with your trebs, though... but it has this real nice sizzle to it in the high end. I think I posted a review here somewhere... Don't listen to any of the other 7-stringers here. They're all biased. All Evo7/Blaze/Dsonic fanboys. Can't trust them to be neutral on this issue. Only the X2N7 will satisfy you. ...anyhoo... FYI Outworld is Rusty Cooley's band. I think there's only one album ATM, which is incidentally, called "Outworld". Kinda like Nevermore, but with more straightforward arrangements. The music can be a bit over-the-top though, since well, Rusty's in the band... Erm, blademaster, just wondering why it can't be an Ibanez? Only HSH I can think of off the top of my head is the Universe... |

QUOTE(blademaster @ Nov 12 2008, 07:01 PM) personal preference I guess....Couple of months back I bought a JEM77VBK from Japan and sold it like a week. Not sure, but it's kinda steep IIRC. Even the non-MIA version is around 1500-2000 USD methinks.... and Rusty Cooley has a 7 string signature by Dean right....I wonder how to sounds But the inlay and graphix are ROXXORZ.... |

I just found out what EQ has been up to. He's been meditating on the secrets of the ultimate transcendent supra-octave 7-string hyper-arpeggio.
By the time he unlocks those dark, forbidden secrets (tentatively expected to occur sometime around December 15, 2008), he will return to the Sanctuary and guide us all to a better world where the Low B reigns supreme. Spread the word, Sanctuarites and prepare this doomed world for the Rule of 7! EDIT: EDIT EDIT: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by RustReaver4D1: Nov 20 2008, 06:52 PM |

Okay, I'm too lazy to post this in the GuitarPhreaks thread...
If I want to use effects like chorus or delay in the GT8 in the fx loop of my amp, but still use the amp's pre-amp, do I still have to use the 4-cable method? Since I don't need to use any effects that need to go prior to the amp's pre-amp (e.g. OD pedals), can I plug in: Guitar -> Amp's pre-amp Amp's Send -> GT-8 Input GT-8 Output -> Amp's Return ...and thereby save an extra cable? ...or will it fry my stuff? ...on a related note, does anyone know where I can buy 5 to 10 feet cables? Most music stores I see got only 15 feet to 20 feet... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(echobrainproject @ Nov 22 2008, 09:07 PM) Guitar -> Amp's pre-amp Sure anot? Coz I'm scared with all this balanced/unbalanced signal stuff, which I dunno anything about but which I've heard around... Amp's Send -> GT-8 Input GT-8 Output -> Amp's Return yes that shouldnt be a problem. that way you can add other effects (stompbox, rack) into your gt8 loop too. |
