QUOTE(musclemass @ May 11 2007, 04:03 PM) HEy... sup? You worked out yesterday? I had a major back and shoulder workout. There's some confusion i have. I saw Milos Sarcev's fit show. He said very wide grip pulldowns to behind the neck target the upper lats mostly. I usually do medium grip pull downs as one of my exercises but i tried replacing that with the aforementioned. I felt it more in my mid upper back though. |

QUOTE(Alekhinelord @ May 11 2007, 09:27 PM) I think it is the wrong thread to talk about martial arts. You guys can try the martial talk forum in The Sports Channel to talk about martial arts instead of this thread which is the progress thread. Well, we're all friends here... so we're used to it. Be prepared for some wacky conversations. Our resident mod isn't immune to random behaviour either. Cake > pie. |

QUOTE(malaysianPotato @ May 12 2007, 04:02 PM) There's nothing to call, cake owns pie, it's a fact of life. You may prefer one over the other but that means nothing as nature, natural selection, evolution, w/e dictates that cake > pie. Lol... I knew something like that would come from you.Yeah... You're a misguided, misinformed, lost individual. When you come back to the light that is cake, you'll see the errors of your ways. Cake > Pie. And with that, we now return to your scheduled network broadcast. This post has been edited by darklight79: May 14 2007, 03:01 PM |

I've started utilizing a lot of dumbells in my chest routine. I'm even thinking of replacing my flat bench press with db's also, since my incline bench press is already done with db's.

QUOTE(jones007 @ May 14 2007, 05:55 PM) Your stabilizer muscles need to get used to the movement. It'll be very shaky at first. Db's offer a greater range of motion, greater stretch, greater contraction BUT barbells are still better to develop strength and mass. I mix both up. One week maybe bb flat, then db incline, next week db flat and bb incline. |

QUOTE(jones007 @ May 14 2007, 06:17 PM) oh i see. yeah that works as well i guess. are u mixing any westside style in it? ur program. with ME DE RE? No more mate. It's a full bodybuilding split now. High volume all the way.Added on May 14, 2007, 6:22 pmI'll probably cycle and go back to Westside/5x5 again after a few months. Periodization is the key. Well, I've never pressed db's fresh. I do them only after 4 sets of flat barbell bench so i'm pretty exhausted already. I'll try it as my first exerxise next week.
Yesterday i pressed the 80 pounders for 13 reps. Then next set was another 13, then i had to reduce. Was getting fatigued. The of of the bench was 40 to 45 degrees. This post has been edited by darklight79: May 14 2007, 07:26 PM |

Hmmm... lemme try pressing the 100's fresh next week. I've still got to get used to db work. Should be ok. I'll take a vid of a set of incline db bench press.
