Hello Geng...
Need some advice/info:

Does anyone know how much is the cost to replace the Forte SX's rear skirting (skirt only with painting of standard Diamond Silver colour; bumper not included)?

Kindly include how much and where in Klang Valley area within your reply-comments, please.

Thank you.

I just did a quick search for you. The one that I saw is about RM 250.

link.

I've asked some bodykit shops, also about there.

Excellent info bro.

I did my own online search as well, but didn't cross my mind to click into and check Lelong.com because I'm so used to the old-skool mindset of vehicle bodyworks = physical workshop.

Failed to think out of the box in order to obtain ball-park figure for the price.

Thanks!

Anyone else has any similar info on KIA Forte OEM Rear Skirt prices (part + paint + installation)?

I hope these are the issues cause I don't wanna have the workshop kept replacing parts to find the root cause at the expense of my wallet... It's really consistent, like, at 40Km/h the noise can be replicated 100%. I think the noise stayed on even at higher speed but it's drown by other noise I think.

Are those front stabilizer + absorber/mount mahal?
*
Apart from noise, is there a looseness/vibration in the steering wheel?

How about on bumpy corners?

Usually it's the front stabiliser bushings that needs changing, that's about RM80 x2

Absorbers are about RM150-280 for the front.

Absorber mounts are RM60-120 each.

Roughly lah.

No crazy vibration or looseness on the steering wheel. If the road is bumpy, it's very very bumpy overall in the car.. Like I don't have any absorber like that. Do you know a good place to get these replaced? I was at Autosaver but they replaced a few parts costing 1k but didn't even fix the problem..

The suspension spring is the component taking the shock , absorber is a dampening device. for instance if you follow a car that has spoilt absorber , if you take look at the wheel , its bumpy with erratic up and down of the wheel (means the absorber is not functioning by dampening the shock to the spring). .....so Bumpy is not absorbing.

I think it's supposed to be the opposite. If it's working correctly, the driver/passenger shouldn't feel much bumpiness as the absorber is absorbing the impact.

For my case, I can feel all unevenness/bumpiness.

Yeah, I think I'm understanding this correctly. Anyway, this kinda explains the rough feel when driving over bumpy roads. But it doesn't explain the consistent knocking sound sad.gif

Hi..would like to ask if you were able to reuse the dust caps (see sample photo attached) of the Forte Headlamp Assembly after installing those LED Bulbs/Kits.

So, no drilling of the dust covers are required?

Sometimes after years of usage , the spring also can become lembik, this you need change spring, as even with a good absorber your riding experience will become floaty.
