Jan is a bit tricky. Try sticking to west side so near pangkor or langkawi or other country. Sometimes islands like Tioman open early but conditions can be hit and miss.

cannot. redang n perhentian open on march..

Normally November till Febuary is diver's dry period. Can always go places like Koh Lipe and so on. Overseas trip.

If you can hold out til March the selections available would be fantabulous.

Survived diving in 2-3m swells Surge was crazy under water as we were diving a shallow reef. Ear tubes compressing and decompressing every 10 seconds.. depth gauge swinging from 4m to 6m and back. And we did not find the orange cowry that was supposed to be there

At the surface, I was next in line to get back on the boat. What looked like a 3-4m wave came towards me and smacked me on the side of my head like a water balloon. Almost thought I was going to ride the wave back to Sydney
