I hate the Malaysia version with bodykit and that's one the reason I cancelled my booking. I also feel that the new version has more plastic than the predecessor and another thing of concern is the blind spot monitoring function sometimes will beep without any car beside you, which is odd. According to a reviewer, he said this blind spot function is added by TOYOTA Malaysia instead of TOYOTA itself, so not sure it is installed properly. Overall, it is still a good car for its price.

There are two clips that attached to the grill. Just pull it off and then just remove all the sided-tape layers from the X mark kits. I have just removed it this early morning and my car look even more gorgeous! Whoever told u that removing them will affected the car camera is bullshit la! No such thing.

Rim and tyre are very subjective. SA told me that not to change rim size to a bigger, it would affect the suspension in future avoiding warranty.

Anyone know how to disable Blind Spot monitoring? I don't seen button for it. So stupid "Pi" sound when giving signal turn into left or right road. So tired of it.

How other cars behave when the driver switch lane without turn signal?

His first video mentioned that the sound system is "surprising", but didn't said what that means (good or bad?). Saw few comments asking this question. 

At one point he did disable the sensor right? How did we disable the annoying sound? Is it as easy as pushing a button? I am considering to buy this car but quite turn off from the sensor sounds.

One more question for vios 2019 owner, is the audio sounds decent? My current car (Hyundai i10 2010) have a nicer sound from the speaker than my friend's car (Honda City 2018).

When I collected the car my sales advisor turned it off already so never had such irritating noise. So I am pretty sure it is being enabled/disabled via press of button.

I saw one said the front twin plastic that made new Vios so ugly can be removed easily by just handling the double sided tapes. He said no clip on them, just double sided tapes. 
I do think the bodykits looks fine, just the front twin plastics making it too busy looking and becomes ugly. Removing them will make it good looking. 
do you all think WD-40 is good enough to remove that plastic twins?

To solve tailgating problems, very EASY.. For me my car is flitted with rear super HD dashcam with blinking led light every 15 seconds. Used for past 18 months..

Tailgater will follow your car a while and speed away left or right lanes after seeing your rear dashcam led light .. or stop tailgate when seeing rear dashcam at traffic light stop junction.. Good decision making, right?? If Tailgater "kiss", they will losing their car NCD and pay higher insurance premium cost starting next renewal.. From solid evidence point of view, no "horse runaway" if there's any road accident or argument who is right or wrong..

Many car owners installed front dashcam camera,  but  I would encourage all car owners to install for rear dashcam too. Like new Vios, rear dashcam is optional and cost rm 350..

Easy to get and install, with WiFi connectivity .. Upload and Download through WiFi.. Alternatively, take out rear dashcam Micro SD card and put it into computer to retrieve image.

I have the same feeling too, disappointed with Toyota quality. My Vios 2015 comes with 3 years warranty. First few months driving found out minor 'tick' sound inside dashboard. Toyota test it and found out it's due to the airbag cable not arranged properly and it's knocking other parts inside dashboard. Toyota open the whole dashboard to fix it.

After 2 years, realized my front window has bubbles around the border inside the window. Complaint to Toyota and they said is manufacturing defect, helped me to claim under warranty to replace the whole front window.

After 3 years of driving and out of warranty, I realized a minor short 'tick' sound when start to turn steering from static, happening intermittently. Drive to Toyota to test, and told me need to replace the Steering Rack. Just passed the warranty for about 4 months and can't claim under warranty. The replacement of steering rack plus labor cost about RM3.6k+. My car only at less then 50,000 km mileage but the steering rack needed for replacement? So this is Toyota quality - the steering rack could failed in 3 years time! I did emailed to Toyota support (customersupport@toyota.com.my) to request to claim under Warranty but no reply from them.

The customer service told me they had replaced few steering racks on this model, seemed like this model mostly having common issue. I felt reluctance to pay for it, maybe wait for it to become more serious only to replace it. Who knows... if I replace it and maybe need to replace again by next 3 years? So it's about RM1.2K extra maintenance cost yearly for a new car? Sound worst then maintaining an old car! Last time I drove Myvi for 9 years never has any issue before.

By conclusion, you can see that the Vios is not longer has good QC and parts quality as before. If anyone has idea on how to take further action on this apart from just pay RM3.6K to fix the steering rack please comment.

steering rack is common problem, my 2017 vios change at 70k mileage, while i was dropping off my car at sc, another vios just pick up from replaceing steering rack also 70k

Honda civic has worst steering rack issue, more expensive and yet so many ppl bought it

Could it be the steering rack noise issue? This gen City is infamous for it, even until FL this problem is still not solved the factory. Need for SC to fix the problem.

then other choice would be chop shop or spare part shop.
