QUOTE(piglover @ Aug 14 2017, 09:26 PM) For current RON 97 price = RM 2.39/liter. VIOS tank capacity is 42 liter. Assume you need to top up 38 liter, 38 x RM 2.39 = RM 90.82. I believe VIOS always reserve some fuel around at least 5 liter left only the warning indicator lights up. Mine City 50% + Highway 30% + Kampung road 20% = 500KM +- per tank. RON97 Caltex. Haven't tested fully city drive. This post has been edited by kentbong92: Aug 14 2017, 09:48 PM |

QUOTE(netmask8 @ Aug 14 2017, 10:45 PM) Yaya.. I going stage by stage. If budget allowed, I might go for GX rim, I like the design of the rim which got straight spoke with dual tone color, while TRD got dual tone too, but with spiral spoke. |

QUOTE(netmask8 @ Aug 14 2017, 11:24 PM) [attachmentid=9044643] Yea. First would be skirting. Rim will be after, but that also will see if budget allowed. Great pick on GX sport rim. Make sure your body skirting is also GX aerokit To match the GX sport rim..how about dvr recording ? Do it gradually when budget allows. White colour bulbs for bonnet cabin, interior light when open doors, and car reverse light?? Yea. The bulbs also, but will do it gradually.. haha.. Btw, have you try tint your tail lamp with black or grey smoke effect film? I believe it also match well with our car.. |

QUOTE(dav668 @ Aug 15 2017, 11:44 AM) I drove from KL to SG, and back to KL. RON97, Shell about 40l petrol consumed. wow!! Impressive! The FC is about 19km/l. It is highway drive. My Vios is 14k km now. For the city drive with heavy jam every morning and evening during peak hour, the FC is about 12-13km/l. i think it is reasonable. 40 litre means your tank almost empty cause VIOS tank is 42 litre only. Have you capture where is your fuel indicator level when you fuel up? Possible next time I also can have a try on it. Use it till almost empty tank then only refill. Cause currently whenever see the warning indicator lights up, straight away go refuel liao. xD |

QUOTE(KayK @ Aug 16 2017, 11:01 PM) it all depends on the buyer's need 100% agree!!I do agree that the V spec honda city is very tempting - with LED headlights and rear tailights, paddle shifts, 16" rims, 6 air bags but at the same time, vios does come with some good spec as well such as rear disc brake, tint, DVR, 360 camera in the end i chosen vios, because of those things included above seems more practical for my usage. sure i would like to have 6 airbags (are you listening toyota?), LED, and paddle shifts but with vios, i dont need to think about tinting - no need go shop and wait for them to install or worry about JPJ. The included tint is actually good enough. not sure if honda salesperson help to install for free now (i was offered vouchers instead) but i dont need to fork out additional $$$ for tinting. DVR already installed - no need worry about hiding cabling, or warranty if get 3rd party accessory shop to install 360 camera - some may argue dont need 360 camera for b-segment car, but there are times when i found it very useful especially parking and other things like reliability (not to say honda is bad or anything, but my dad use to own a toyota liteace van, which was driven more than 15 years, and i had a 1st gen vios, which was bought from second hand, 2004 car, until i trade in for the new vios) and (slightly?) less QC issue, as everyone is getting a honda nowdays also, outdated or not, i actually prefer knob over touch screen for the aircon controller (1 thing though, the knob could use a more modern looking design) i found knob are easier to "feel" and change without looking at it, especially when driving. ~just my opinion~ |

Today manage to changed the parking light(small light) and head light bulb myself.. phew..
Headlight bulb = Phillips White Vision 3700K (H4) Parking light = Philips X-treme Vision LED 360 W5W 6000K (T10) Parking light - Left is the Phillips LED W5W 6000K, right is the original. Headlight - Left is the Phillips WV 3700K, right is the original. After done both side (parking light ONLY) - Forgot to turn on headlight, so its only parking light. Difficulty during installation - For the T10 bulb is totally easy to change. - For the head light, it is a bit hard as the power cable connected a bit tight to the bulb base, took me few minutes to pull out the cable steady and easy. Plus on the cable pin got some sort of lubricant, very greasy lol.. Overall satisfaction with this small mod - 9.5/10 Total damage - Phillips WV 3700K H4 - RM115 - Philips X-treme Vision LED 360 6000K T10 - RM90 Total cost = RM 205.00 The Phillips WV 3700K bulb is better than original bulb, looks brighter and the color is yellowish white, which almost identical to day time light temperature. Very enjoyable during at night with this kind of lighting. |

QUOTE(mickey1007 @ Aug 17 2017, 12:12 AM) Hey bro, just to ask h4 bulb can match with 9012 bulb as far as i know the current vios is using 9012 bulb?? You can refer below for the light bulb type for each specs of VIOS. So far didn't know about 9012 bulb, or it's fog lamp? QUOTE(DreamerTKM @ Aug 9 2017, 10:12 AM) Original bulb is from Osram. Depend on your spec, J & E spec use H4, G, GX & TRD use HIR2. Changing those light won't mess up your alignment unless you go and twist the reflector adjustment screw. For H4, just make sure the cut off plate in the bulb is at the bottom, then you're safe. ![]() For bulb type between philips & osram. That's personal preference. I'm using Night breaker + T10 6700K |

QUOTE(KayK @ Aug 17 2017, 04:30 PM) I'm officially poisoned, now you really made me want to change all my light bulbs, including rear to LED. Not planning to change rear no plate light yet.. cause the bulb not easy to reach, as need to take out the carpet cover before you can reach to the bulbs. To take out the carpet, I saw lots of the clips, which quite worrying if you done it in wrong way, the clips might broken.. So I let it be for now.. but not really familiar with changing light bulb that's why airbags is as important as rear brake disc. no matter how safely you drive on the road, there are times when accidents are caused by others. For front light and front parking light, yes, you can DIY. But one thing la, be patient when you do it, like last night, the main headlight cable, fuhh.. damn tight wey.. pull until my finger pain, pull it slowly and steady, not dare to pull it using dreadful force, afraid it will break the bulb housing base later.. And when unpack the new bulb, also accidentally(not purposely) touched with my finger, and just now research on the solution if touched the bulbs, as first the bulb life span will get affected, second is the bulb might burst due to our human hand oil stick on the bulb glass surface, which over long time, cause it to failure and burst. So later back gonna open it up again, and clean it using tissue, people recommend alcohol swab la, but I think tissue should be sufficient, as the bulb affected just a small part only. (Not intended at all to touch on the bulb, but somehow, it happened!) lol.. |

QUOTE(DreamerTKM @ Aug 17 2017, 04:49 PM) No need to take out carpet cover for rear plate light. All you need is one test-pen. Bro, you just poisoned me again. Argh.. makes me want to order another set of LED to put in there.. But LED not cheap lol.. RM90 .. unless go for the cheap one lo.. Step by step? Refer manual PS: The opening location at the plastic cover for rear plate light there, not from inside the trunk. QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Aug 17 2017, 05:02 PM) I also not sure why, I've been Osram user before, tried NB, NB+ and NB Unlimited. All these 3 bulbs just work fine. But somehow, Phillips came across my mind, and I decided to gave it a try. The first bulbs purchased from Phillips is the xTremeVision +110%, then Crystal Vision 4300k (I like the most).. All these tried on my old car, using H4 as well. Then this time is WhiteVision 3700K, as the salesman told me WhiteVision is the successor of the BlueVision before this, and give 60% more light. And color is slightly yellowish than CrystalVision 4300K, BUT CV only gave 30% more light compared to WV. Before this new car, CV is by far the most satisfied bulbs I ever used. So now gave a try on the WV lo, but really, it is undeniably impressive and meet my expectation. My expectation is yellowish white color temperature output and it's look bright on the road. Osram LASER also been in my consideration list, but somehow, I read through some others forum, which appear that Osram LASER have the shortest lifespan among the rest. However, OSRAM LASER light output is the most winner here, Phillips Xtreme 130% would be 2nd here.. QUOTE(wyh @ Aug 17 2017, 11:50 PM) Is it? all these while I thought DV is the pure white color output? It is 5000K temperature output right? |

QUOTE(dav668 @ Aug 21 2017, 07:52 AM) Dont do that, dude. I didnt re-fuel when the tank is empty, especially when i was in highway. I made a full tank, start driving. refuel in johor to full tank again. Get the record. then continued to drive to SG until i back to KL, refuel to full tank again and add up both. U may think this is not 100% accurate but the difference could be very minute as i constantly get similar FC with such method. I see. Mine refill-ed last Friday, then back home town, Sunday back KL, total traveled distance is 350++ KM, sharp sharp half tank.. lol.. The max i ever did was when the warning light came up, i drove for about another 40km to refuel. There was another 5-7l left in the fuel tank. I think you can estimate from there. The new vios actually has a very good FC especially on highway. I can easily achieve 17-18l/km if i go to KLIA using NKVE. The mileage is considered reasonable when i only drive in city, eg PJ, Puchong, Jln Kuching.. the lowest mileage i get is 11km/l. In average, it is about 12-13km/l. QUOTE(KayK @ Aug 21 2017, 11:21 AM) guys, need your opinion / suggestion: which service center do you guys recommend? going for 5k service soon. need the SC to check few things: -HUD language reset issue - This is should be have fix to it, impossible such advance radio keep reset at random time, even my old car also wont behave like that unless cabut the battery terminal la.. -during jam, pressing the brake can hear some sound - What kind of noise? something like "gesek" sound? -kinda loud "fan" sound, with or without aircon - Never experienced this. -rough engine sound when driving within 30-50kph or rpm around 1 - 1.5k - Never experienced this. |

QUOTE(newsreadr7 @ Aug 22 2017, 11:13 PM) Hi Sifus, That is steering locking sound. You can try to turn the steering after the "whurring" sound, then you will hear "tak" sound, after that, your steering is locked.Just bought a Vios variant J AT acouple of months ago. Now i notice that when engine is turned off, and i open the door, i can hear a brief "whurring" sound, coming from around the steering 'area' (couldn't tell exactly the source of the sound). Sounds like 'something' is 'locking/unlocking' (sorry, don't know how to describe). What could that sound be? Just curious. |

QUOTE(newsreadr7 @ Aug 23 2017, 09:41 PM) May i know where is latest Vios 'secret' switch to turn-off the (annoying) alarm that might go off whenever there's power problem (i.e. weak/flat battery, etc)? As I know, for keyless entry version, you take out the key from the key fob, manual unlock the car door, then put the key fob in front of the push start button for at least 10 seconds, then after that, press brake pedal, and push the start button. If not mistaken, Vios have backup battery for emergency like this. Correct me if I am wrong..(My previous P1 has one which is partly hidden just next to the bonnet latch/lock - a small push button switch to turn off the alarm) |

Check out above info for the bulb type for each spec of the car. WV 3700K not consider white color yet, it is yellowish white. If you see it from far, it is not white color at all, it is bright white yellow color. So far my old car using CrystalVision 4300K, whiter than WV 3700K, no problem also when pass by road block. White color only those 5000K temperature above, but one thing, white color is not so bright on the road during night time which I not so like it.This Phillips WY 3700k H4 is consider white colour ? JPJ can pass ? will kena block ? TQ |
