QUOTE(Cavino @ Aug 30 2024, 10:59 AM) Not familiar with this tint ler.. Thanks bro. i never know there are such thing as carbon tint or metallic tint. i choose this because this is the cheapest high grade tint my SA can offer. But the name 3M carbon already says it....most likely carbon tint, carbon tints are usually darker in colour vs other tint. So extremely likely NOT metallic. Can put rfid on left top side of windscreen. Anyway I prefer to put on headlight, not just becoz of my preference for metallic-based tint but I am more likely to change windscreen over the years vs headlight coz I travel on highway everyday. Almost all my cars' windscreen broke at least once already but headlight, none of the car change it yet (crossed finger, no front impact that damage the headlights yet). As for me, i prefer to put it on the windscreen coz easier to change. 2 of my rfid unit rosak already. 1 stick on windscreen, easy to change. another one is on headlamp, which is plastik. i have to spend time to peel it off. the glue is super sticky. now want to polish the headlamp also scared. |

I just read up that the tint is a combination of nano-ceramic and metalized layers technology. Now I begin to understand why their pricing is on the upper scale. Based on their website and brochure, not a pure specialized multi layer metallic sputters like Vkool and Irisro tho so not sure any effect on RFID in windows. It's pretty decent, parked under the sun in George Town for an hour to makan, when I went back the car wasn't super hot. QUOTE(DeepMemory @ Sep 2 2024, 05:20 PM) Go to your Home Screen, then swipe to right side to find vehicle settings, then door and window, then you should find the Auto Unlock trigger. By default it’s “shift to P”, but I changed to engine off. Sounds like for you it’s engine off and you want something else. I believe the options are:- shift to P - ignition off - disable (no Auto Unlock at all) DeepMemory liked this post

Just did my RS with IrisPro Diamond for windscreen and front windows + Elite for rear passenger today. No Diamond X available in Penang.
The windscreen seems abit hazy, but will see how it fares after few days of hot sun? But the rear heater lines are pretty obvious gaps. |

QUOTE(:zeus: @ Sep 2 2024, 11:07 PM) Just did my RS with IrisPro Diamond for windscreen and front windows + Elite for rear passenger today. No Diamond X available in Penang. Irispro Diamond is pretty thick at 3mil vs usual tint 2mil (non security). If security tint it will be at least 4 mil to 6 mil in thickness. The windscreen seems abit hazy, but will see how it fares after few days of hot sun? But the rear heater lines are pretty obvious gaps. The rear heater lines WILL have obvious lines with such thickness but you will have to get used to it. As for hazy, I am using Diamond 60 for one of my car front Windscreen, no haziness and very sharp and clear. So likely have to wait for it to dry properly. Due to its thickness, it will takes a while to dry up properly. The heat resistant is very good tho. The diamond X at my rear windscreen last time took a month or 2 to properly dry up probably due to its extra thickness of 4-5mil and water gap between the lines. If you are talking about a layer of white haze looks with direct sunlight, my Diamond 60 no such issue but the Diamond X series has it. In terms of heat resistant, Diamond X has obvious the upper hand (I have both D60 and DX mixed in one of my car) but in terms of clearer VLT, I do prefer Diamond brighter visibility (just my preference). thankyou liked this post

Thanks for the experience sharing! Definitely can see clearly at night with Diamond 30, but probably haziness due to water not dries up yet like you said. I'll report out later to see if the haziness still there/water dries up.

QUOTE(fazleysyam @ Sep 3 2024, 06:37 PM) I installed it because my SA said there have been a couple of recent cases where warranty repairs were denied by HM corporate because customers installed dashcam on their own outside, and the hybrid RS has a more complex circuitry so it's better to err on the safe side. It was RM1149 including installation and they tap it into the fuse so it has parking standby recording, which gets triggered when the G-force sensor detects significant movement. TBH I installed it for peace of mind since I was going to install a third-party dashcam into the fuse and that idea made me nervous since this is a new car. The only downside of this Honda dashcam (aside from price) is that it's Full HD (1080p) when other aftermarket ones are actually 4K at this day and age. The app is okay/usable since other Chinese dashcams like 70Mai and DDPAI have bad apps anyway. The app looks simple but is quite functional, it was easy to view front/rear footage and also to pull specific day's worth of footage out. It was better than the DDPAI app IMO (my old dashcam was DDPAI) because the DDPAI app makes you scrub manually to find the footage you want but the app here shows you based on trip. Hahaha. Very impressive. I myself using hondas dashcam donno how to comment. I decided to go with hondas due to the same reason. Dont want to take risk on the electrical component. Afraid later HM say cannot claim battery due to the modIt was RM1149 including installation and they tap it into the fuse so it has parking standby recording, which gets triggered when the G-force sensor detects significant movement. QUOTE(Snuffykl @ Sep 3 2024, 09:46 PM) Thank you bro. Do you choose tinted % (VLT) for front, driver and back or just go default approve by JPJ? For this car I really don't want any headaches so I went with JPJ compliant spec for FWS and front windows, so 70% for front and 50% for sides I believe. However the rear windshield and rear windows are tinted to the max they're very very dark since it's unregulated and I don't want my baby sitting in the back to kena sunlight Snuffykl liked this post
