Anyone has steering rack issues on latest gen CR-V? It looks like quite a number of cars affected in the US (from Reddit) but idk if it affects our CKD models here?

this is the first time i am asking about FC of a car due to being a birgin  in getting suv of this size. noted that the tank capacity is 59L for the E variant and average range is less than 500 km. True?

US already gotten their G6 since last year, they are in midlife facelift already in 2025
the best part is, if you watch YT review, their 2025 facelift is same like our current version here in Malaysia, especially if you look at front and rear bumper

Hopefully ours is improved version? I know the Civic FE ones they supposedly improved or something, but we’re still seeing lots of reports of bad racks lol.

In this thread and Malaysia CR-V groups I have yet to see a prominent number of complaints regarding the steering rack specifically…

80%-90% highway,, max can get around 600km, I think 700km is possible, if you drive it in relax mode
mixed 50/50 around 450km

mine is AWD variant

Have not heard any major complaint accept the one that viral few months back on RS version at Honda OKR

thanks for the heads up.  Awd usually has higher FC than the Fwd?  It will take me a while to accustom to the power train coming from C 250. 0-100 >10 seconds. hmm.....

I install it on my first week getting the car at setapak around RM600

For me, that running board is not me to step, its a guard from your car to your next car,, G6 is a big car
When other car park beside you, normally kids will open the door door without minding next car and slam their door to your car,,
That running board will protect it because its the most outher part of your car body,, will kena it first

on my car odometer, I'm getting average 12.5km/l on city road and 13.5km/l on hway

Is this RS or V? Crazy.. 22 if for RS you'll wait till next year already, considering most branches get 2-3 RS per month only and not even guaranteed to be blue.

If you in Klang Valley you can consider placing booking other branches also if you're desperate.

It's RS, I have placed with 3 Honda dealers already. This should be quickest I can get the car.
