Hey all, hope ya all can help me. Does anyone here owns of have test driven the current 4th gen Harrier before? I just wanted to know how’s the NVH as compared to this 6th gen CRV RS.
I’m contemplating between these 2. CRV RS vs Recon Harrier Z Leather. Both about the same price. Tough choice. Hope ya all can help!
I’ve recently test driven both. But it was a short one and didnt manage to go on a highway to feel the NVH. ☹️

NVH for RS is fairly good, main source of noise comes from the tyres which I blame the Toyos. new car so no vibration, and no creaky plastic sound. Driving this generation G6 RS always reminds me of previous BMW gen F series. The torque level is comparable to a 320.

QUOTE(Cavino @ Apr 22 2024, 09:43 AM) They guys are always willing to do it...spend more money, get performance and comfort satisfaction. Totally worth it. The missus...don't care how good is trade in price to get better tyres, as long as you going to spend more money, you are losing money, no go. Just curious. How much is the normal trade in value of your Toyo?

I couldn't believe how bad was the NVH and thought there is something wrong with the car.

Aiya back then the Japanese stick to their own style. Nowadays, Honda will want to mimic the BMW, or draw inspiration. If you see ever see the City with BMW bodykit, cant tell the difference. They need to compete in US/Eu market. But G3 even G2 is indestructible car, still see many on the road. I am hoping to keep the G6 for my retirement. Relative still have the G2, fuel guzzler now.

Hi ...
Anyone already got their CRV RS version? I make my booking in January till today still no news from SA. According to SA there is a delay in RS production by HONDA.
From what I observe not many CRV RS on the road till today. Any issue with Honda production on RS spec?

On highway I normally drive between 100 - 120 kph and at that speed, the turbo should be better than the RS. In town, of course the RS is better.

hi guys, just wanted to ask a question in advance as it has been years since I bought a new car with warranty.
tyres are not part of the 5 year warranty so this means that we are free to change the tyre that came with the car right?
there is no procedure or stuff to do right and most tyre shop can change the tyre without any issues right. any advantage of changing from SA
same goes with the car battery right. apologies for newbie question

I heard RS has special noise resonator that improve the NVH. Back to your question yes usually tyre has no warranty, but sport rim do have. So if you change tyre and use same sport rim should be fine. I am not sure on RS version tho since the tyre and sport rim is quite special than other variant.

Only will run the risk of voiding certain warranty mostly if change rims and sizes. While many still do alignment at SC for convenience sake, I doubt anyone actually change their tyres in SC (water fish maybe...haha). However with new resonance device on the rims, as suggested by others better check with SC. This is new stuff here (at least in Malaysia). This post has been edited by Cavino: May 10 2024, 08:57 AM

So I will try Michelin next time.
