While i collecting my V yesterday, 2 RS being delivered as well from same branch
Then when I go do tinting, meet another new RS white color doing tinting

And while installing my plate number, meet 1 CX5 new facelift owner, initially booked RS since Jan change his order to mazda

Terbalik now,, last time waiting period for Mazda is long,, now buyer change to mazda for fast delivery

I dont know is it due to demand or still shortage of chips..

At my V Specs seat plastic sticker saw that my production date from kilang is 22 Mar, delivered to showroom 2 Apr
*
I am a current owner of a CX5 but the space is just too small for me, hence the shift to CRV but pretty frustrating of not getting the car yet.

Where's your branch..? Might want to give a visit if they've got a ready units.

hope you get your unit soon and please do share your review of the CTV such as build quality, driving dynamics and fuel consumption vs your CX5. Which units of CX5 are you driving.

are you still keeping your CX5. I was also torn between the CX5 and CRV but opted for the CRV due to the space difference

My First Impression of G6 V Spec

According to tint and PPF installer, this car is easier to install Tinted and PPF.
For my G5, Installer for PPF need several try to get the film glued at the edge, and for side mirrors both side, you have to live with some side edges not stick to the panel, even its hand cut not machine cut

According to Audio Installer, this car door panel, is tougher to open, if you go to normal audio installer, they might ruin it or missed some clip when they want to install it back.

Door panel only got 1 screw as usual, but few clips (now green color) G5 pink color

Overall they took 3 hours to complete install front component speaker, while only took 1 hour to install at G5,, I think probably this is new car,, nobody that I know have change their speakers

Since the tweeter is at A Pillar, you should source for brand that come with smaller tweeter Crossover, the crossover need to be fitted at A Pillar, if you fit it at door panel, will need longer wire, hence will reduce power coming to your tweeter

Car Build Material
1. Seat more comfy for all, rear space is more,, and I like that now rear seat can adjust more
2. Leather is hard and rough compare with G5, can feel it while do some own interior detailing, G5 leather material is softer
3. They cut cost on door panel leather, G5 the leather covers up until tweeter, this time only small part of it at door handle, for all 4 doors, you can see that leather is lesser.
4. G6 OEM speaker sound is better than G5, overall sound is better,, probably of the location of the speaker and tweeter,, but I still change to better setup.

Last Saturday while I change it, can saw that the OEM speaker built is more cikai, lighter and the magnet is much smaller, I still have OEM G5 speaker to compare. I change to Focal Auditor 165 at KK Lau Audio
5. Inside door panel, the safety bar much thicker, no wonder the door feels heavier.
6. Now they use rubber material to cover inside door panel in between speaker, for G5 they only use plastic, I can see this when I install sound proofing for my speaker
7. Paint for this car a bit thicker compare to G5, and paint defect is lesser, mine is Mantellic White
8. The 360 camera is so so
9. Reverse camera better, for G5 the brightness is auto and always need to adjust to high, this time it is preset to max bright whenever you reverse
10. Left blind spot camera, is lousy as usual, i prefer blind spot indicator than this camera.
11. You can switch off your wireless charger, only know this last night
12. The interior ambient lighting is superb
13. For V Specs supposedly got Reverse Auto Tilt Mirror, but I don't see any different when I reverse my car...

Driving Experience
1. This car more quite than G5, but still a lot below par than X70, Mazda CX5, XTrail and Forester.
2. Toyo OEM tires less noise than last time Goodyear Asymmetric
3. Since V Specs is AWD, the Fuel consumption a bit on the high side, I can easily get 13Ltr without even trying on my G5 FWD
4. The AWD don't really give significant improvement on driving experience,, I feels like driving normal FWD car, even yesterday trying to reverse park at 1 shopping mall, this shopping build ram at few of their parking slots, and this car really struggle to even clear the ram (reverse)

Overall V Spec is not worth it,, just take E

** wink.gif And I got extra 1 pcs of boot plastic covers, if your buy Online will cost around RM100.00, because I got from my SA wink.gif
If anybody want this PM me, I sell of cheap, prefer COD at KV

Any different in traffic start off acceleration?

At traffic light idle, vibrations seem very obvious.

Many people say this tire no good and was thinking of changing. But I find it perfectly adequate in both dry and wet. May be I seldom drive above 100kph in the wet.

Picking up acceleration, obviously slower,, car heavier and lazy to moved, I don't want to floor it yet
And I cant really feels the turbo,, cant feels much compare to G5

Vibration during idling, I can feels more or less same with G5,, but not new G5, aging G5,,

Toyo tyre is really lousy la
grip not so good especially if you try genting on the wet, will get a lot of wheel spin
tyre also very hard and bumpy, need to reduce air to get more comfortable ride
also quite noisy when travelling on highway.

Never got the chance to try the AWD but my guess is, it might be slower to move. And I don't drive fast in wet. Hence went for the E instead.

As for the turbo, hardly can feel it. In fact, it felt like a NA.

May I ask, what tires would be better for the CRV? May want to try it out when time comes for replacement.

I used Michelin Primacy SUV+, for my G5 last time, its RM580/piece, the tires is a good all rounder tire,
Problem with Michelin is that, once you use it, you will always want it

What I like most about Michelin is their performance is almost same regardless of the condition of tire threat.
Most other tire performance will degrade over the time.

They guys are always willing to do it...spend more money, get performance and comfort satisfaction. Totally worth it.
The missus...don't care how good is trade in price to get better tyres, as long as you going to spend more money, you are losing money, no go.
