I guess every car has got different issues. but overall its still a safe vehicle to drive.

I have heard of the gear knob issue / humming wheel bearing and also the reverse noise from the power steering unit.

so far touch wood my 2.0 haven't had these issues. nearing 10k kms only though..

I've got the 1.5 variant. after 15 months the gear knob finally gave out. Initially i was able to push the metal lever inside to engage the gear. But as the plastic crumbled, some of it got stuck and the gear could not engage.

But the good news is that once you take out all the crumbled bits, you can push the metal lever down and move the gear shaft.

When the honda SC technician examined and the first thing he looked for was the spring. Its just a 2cm long.

I'm glad i didn't lose the spring cos its not under the replacement warranty. If you lose the spring its RM100 to replace.. Well that's what he said.

Anyway i did not repair it then, but decided since i could drive the car to get it done with the normal service.

Lets see what my usual SC says about this unfair charge..

no its 15 months old... so this is a 2017 car. i tried to be as gentle as possible.. but if the plastic is brittle, its not going to last. hopefully its solved.

Solder alot doesn't mean it is better.

TW version looks like simply solder alot into it... doh.gif

While MY version looks like it is carefully soldered on.

It is welding point, not solder joint. Solder joints are for electronics components on printed board doh.gif

Some small update regarding the Honda Sensing performance:

I was driving on highway yesterday in a quite heavy rain. Both the ACC and LKAS were able to function properly. LKAS relies on camera, and it seems to be doing a slightly better job than my eyes, and only in 1 occasion where the blurry road stripes coupled with heavy rain, the LKAS would not be able to recognize (I able to steer out of the lane without warning). If it is not too blurry, the rain will not degrade the camera, or the LKAS. ACC on the other hand, is really a saviour especially in heavy rain condition as it can react typically faster than my reaction time.

So for those who are still considering whether TC-P worth it, my take is although it is always perceived as a "quality of life" feature, but in certain condition, it could actually really become a "stress reliever" especially if you don't have a good eyesight.
